I come to this beach pretty frequently since it is fairly clean and not too far from home. There’s an area with a playground as well as areas to barbecue. The parking recently increased to $ 3 an hour on weekdays and $ 4 an hour on weekends, which in my opinion adds up fast. It is still much cheaper than parking for $ 10 an hour down the street at Deerfield pier, but it is still more than I’d like to pay for a day at the beach. The price of the parking restricts the amount of time I will typically spend for a beach day. I enjoy snorkeling at this beach because there is a reef about 50 yards off the shore as well as some marine life along the jetty. The lifeguard staff here has been very friendly, they keep a close eye on everything and make sure the beach runs safely and smoothly. This beach is nice because it is down the street from the Deerfield pier which is a nice view, but it is also filled with far less tourists and more peaceful. I rate this beach a ¾ because of the price for parking as well as the size of the parking lot is very small. The beach could also benefit from a beach clean up, along the shoreline and in the ocean I’ve noticed a lot of trash. Overall a decent place to relax for a few hours, I would recommend going on a weekday!

Clean beach with beautiful views. Nice place to take the family and relax. There are no concession stands so pack wisely.

Nice beach area– we enjoyed snorkeling along the big rocks! There are lots of beautiful tropical fish — and is ok for kids to snorkel. We enjoyed walking on top of the inlet/big rocks to see the boats coming in, and the pretty inlet waters. Make sure to have exact change/cash for the parking meter because it will not give change back! It took 4 $ of ours. The lifeguard said we did not need a dive flag — but we used it anyway.

Just a great place to relax and rejuvenate yourself as this«Winter Vortex» impacts our Nation. It is always nice to find a new spot to gaze out onto the ocean, read a novel and take a leisurely walk… Cheers!

This park has a nice pavillion and tucked away picnic spots. Like a lot of beaches north of Broward, the dunes have been preserved so you walk through a cool canopy of sea grape trees and gumbo limbo to get to the beach. Snorkel along the jetty and you’ll see lots of tropical fish and some reef growing back. Go about 1 block south and the reef is 30 yards out. It’s covered in sand, but you may glimpse a green turtle heading to Deerfield Pier or a few tropical fish. Definitely better snorkelling here than at Red Reef. I like surfing here, but the parking is a nightmare after 11a. m on good beach days. And some of the SUPers can rocket launch their SUPs at you when they bail on a wave = not cool! When you do park, expect to pay like 3 dollars an hour. If you leave early, have some aloha and pass on your parking voucher!

Nice park but busy on nice weekends. Metered spaces cost $ 2 hour on weekends and $ 1 hour weekdays. I noticed some seaweed near the jetty at the beach but otherwise looked like a decent spot to catch a tan. I love how this park has nice picnic tables, a playground, a rent-able pavilion and restrooms. It seems very well maintained. The inlet is a good place to watch boats enter and exit the ocean and you can walk out on the jetty to explore or fish. During the week it’s quiet enough to be a good book reading spot.
