Fell in love with this place! I was driving down the street and it caught my eye so I decided to stop and I’m so happy I did! The hospitality was incredible, workers & owners were so welcoming and friendly. Our waitress gave us many samples and recommended the best things to try. Tuna salad is so yummy, the Gazpacho(cold vegetable soup) was so hearty and delicious! Desserts are out of this world!!! Definitely recommend the chocolate cream pie

This place is wonderful!!! Great food and wonderful people! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was very inviting! I love that the bathroom is decorated to every holiday! Note that this is a cash only place — no credit/debit cards. However, the waitress said we could leave and come back to pay before closing. The employees were welcoming and genuine. Will be back to try dessert!

What better than a sweet little place where you can bring your girlfriend, or your family, or by yourself. Maybe even treat business to moms cooking in a well run, unique establishment. Sure they only take cash, but after the dear and honest service and mouth watering food, you’ll find your way just to take out a bit more to tip. I hope this place stays a landmark in new downtown.

Just okay. Food wasn’t anything spectacular, and it was pretty pricey for what it was. Place also smelled a little funky. We won’t be back.

Been passing by this place for 20 years and finally decided to make plans to stop in on a Saturday at the urging of my wife. I’m sure glad she did. Parking IS very difficult as there are only like 3 spots along side the building and one on the street in front. And the 3 spots on the side are tight and you better be a good parallel parker! On a side note a man I believe to be the owner offered an elderly customer to back out his car from the lot after he complained about the tight quarters. Not an offer you are likely to get from t he manager at Chilis. And speaking of tight quarters the inside is pretty cramped too but I guess it adds to the quaintness as they say Food was very good. My wife and I split a salmon salad sandwich and one of the quiche specials that had spinach and mushrooms. I thought the sandwich was very good though it could have used more of the actual salmon.(I think the wife got the half with more filling!) It came with serviceable cole slaw. The quiche was the better of the 2 meals. We both agreed it was very light and fluffy and very tasty. It came with a nice salad of greens diced tomatoes and matchstick zucchini and carrots. The vinaigrette was delicious. Service was very attentive as we were waited on by multiple servers throughout the meal. We had a lemon square for dessert and it was awesome. Not too sweet and definitely made w fresh lemons The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that they don’t take credit cards. We were fortunate I had enough cash on me as I usually don’t. And they did not post a sign anywhere I saw except on the menu itself. I know why places don’t take credit cards as I have a small business of my own and hate paying them 3% from every purchase but this is 2016 and people live on plastic. Cmon Tin Muffin bite the bullet and put in a CC terminal. Also I feel they should be open for breakfast or at least earlier. I guess they don’t want to become a bacon and eggs breakfast place but it would be a great spot to come for some more of those quiches. And they’re closed on Sunday’s which I find odd. I eat lunch on Sunday too! We will definitely be back if for nothing else to check out what has to be funkiest bathroom in south Florida!!!

This place was awesome! I had the salad platter with ham salad and vinaigrette. It came with a delicious blueberry muffin and excellent service. It was fresh and tasty and just what I needed. The place was adorable, like the cutest cottage you’ve ever set foot it. It wasn’t too pricey, it was clean and neat, the staff was attentive and friendly. The only problem I had was that they are cash only. But they didn’t mind if I ran to Wells Fargo since I only had my card. I’ll be back next time I’m in Boca. :)

This is a cute little spot just east of Federal Highway in downtown Boca on the way to the beach It is hard to find so don’t blink when you are looking for it and the parking is not very good either so look for the lunch spot with the lines outside and you will do yourself a favor to find it here The best thing to get here is their chicken salad. It is all white meat and perfectly balanced with mayo, sour cream, seasoning and whatever else they do to it We also tasted the curry chicken salad which was great too but we all preferred the regular best The shrimp and salmon salad were just ok Additionally we had their delicious cream of broccoli soup that was not so creamy which is a good thing Last we had the broccoli quiche with Monterey Jack cheese that was light, fluffy and delicious that also came with a perfectly textures corn muffin This place is a gem for a nice lunch

High prices, tiny portions and a bad attitude from all the servers! Some of my Boca pals keep dragging me here(against my wishes, since there is nothing on the regular menu that I want) and I have always silently and unwillingly joined them(because they are nice people) but I am officially done with this place. Obviously, the appeal here is the«quaint» décor(to me, this is annoyingly UNappealing), and the food is tolerable… but the service is utterly appalling. Two out of five in our party arrived a few minutes before the others on 2÷13÷16. We saw only one table large enough for all five of us, but we were told by a server(in a very abrupt, dismissive tone) that we could not be seated until our entire party arrived. Just as our three remaining guests showed up, a very aggressive man stormed ahead into the tiny café, grabbed the large table and said. «We’re all here!» and sat down. The staff made no attempt to stop him, although they realized that we had been waiting for a while and our entire party was present as well at this point. The server grudgingly moved two tiny tables together for us, one round and one square(!!!). We were cramped and did not have enough room to be comfortable. I ordered the roasted chicken(from the daily specials list, no prices displayed), and confirmed that it was cooked with olive oil, not butter. What would you expect if you ordered roasted chicken? Well, I expected a piece of chicken(guess I should have asked!), but received 4 very small, thin slices of white meat chicken. As mentioned, the taste was acceptable, but I was alarmed at the tiny portion(and later, the enormous price tag). The server had promised a salad of greens, carrots, zucchini, and tomatoes; I requested no apples. I received apples, but no carrots or zucchini. At this point, I was so disgusted by the shockingly pathetic portion size and apathetic employees, secretly swearing in my mind never ever to return, that I decided not to make a big fuss. I asked for a spare plate for the unwanted apples, but the server just took my dish and brought it back with no apples. No apology, no kindness; just rude and unsmiling all the way. Another guest ordered a $ 20 «lobster roll» which was disturbingly small and consisted of mostly vegetables and hardly any lobster meat. There was way, way too much mayonnaise. Yuck! The major disappointment was the bill which we had to beg for(since we were being ignored) so we could leave, $ 100(including tax and tip) for 5 guests, for extremely small portions(I was still hungry when I left!) and servers who are obviously not happy campers. I am always cool with paying high prices at restaurants that offer great food and service. However, there is absolutely no way this meal was worth that price. 4 parking spaces, but they’re very hard to access and exit. Choose another place to dine!!!

Love This Place! This has to the cutest place to eat lunch in all of Boca. I had the chicken mushroom soup… which was delish. And then the chicken salad which is the best I’ve ever tasted. Although I didn’t try the desserts, they looked over the top delicious and will def try something on my next visit. Don’t forget to visit the bathroom, it’s worth it!

My favorite place in town! The owner and staff are always super sweet. The food is fresh and delicious. They only accept cash but let me run to the bank and come back after I already ate. I always say I will skip dessert but can never resist when I see what the daily options are. I have been going here for years and plan to return again soon. The cost is a little high but quality of food and the quaint location make up for that.

My favorite part about this place is the décor. Walking into this restaurant, after having to park a block away because parking is very limited, I couldn’t help but notice how adorable the place is! The restaurant is lined with fall decorations, fresh flowers on the tables rustic chairs, pumpkins everywhere, and much more. It gave the restaurant so much personality. The place is pretty small, probably about 8 tables give or take. I wanted to take my mother to a nice cute place for lunch and stumbled upon the Tin Muffin from Unilocal. As soon as we entered, we were greeted as soon as we came in and were asked for our drinks, I ordered the mint lemonade and my mother ordered the raspberry iced tea. I liked her tea better than my lemonade so I ended up sipping much of hers hehe. We scanned the menu and noticed there was a notice saying that they only accept cash and personal checks! Thank goodness my mother had checks on her because who carries cash anymore? There should be a sign on the door or outside somewhere before you walk in stating that, because if my mother did not have her checks I would not have been able to pay for the drinks which cost a total of $ 6. It was our first time so I had the waitress recommend us some things. She highly recommended the spinach and jack cheese quiche which my mother ordered with a side salad(11.95). I ordered this dish that came with half curried chicken salad, half tuna salad, my choice of lentil soup, and a blueberry muffin(12.95). My mother liked her quiche but thought it was a little heavy. The best thing on my plate was the curried chicken salad. The tuna salad was nothing special, just tuna and mayo. The lentil soup was plain, did not have much flavor. I was really excited to try the muffin since you know they are called the Tin Muffin, but I was a little disappointed. The muffin was cold, a little hard, and had an overpowering lemon taste. The service was good, everyone was nice and friendly, didn’t make a lasting impression though. All in all its a cute place for a one time thing, nice relaxing vibe.

We finally had an opportunity to stop by Boca Raton’s «The Tin Muffin», and the common consensus is correct, this place is great! Granted, one may find the prices here to be steep, as the average price of a whole sandwich, salad, or ½ & ½ combo is roughly 11 bucks per before beverage, but it’s a fair price due to the freshness and quality of ingredients. We had the mozz/tom/basil pesto on french bread and the albacore tuna, and both were top notch. Afterwards, we decided to try the Key Lime Pie, which was ok(but then again i am a very picky on what I deem to be good Key Lime Pie). We also found the location itself to be very quaint. Let’s get it straight, that this is a very small spot with very limited parking, so keep your eyes open for a space as they only have 5 or 6 spaces for their store. All in all, this is a perfect place to grab a really nice, well put together lunch in downtown Boca, and definitely a gem for the entire town.

This is such a cute little place that has such amazing food. Its an adorable café that feels like your grandmas house — there are flower prints and fresh baked muffins. This place is CASH only. Bring about 20 – 25 a person. A quiche and a tea runs me around 20 with tip, but their baked goods are so good you will want to add one on. The banana cake was amazing! I am currently obsessed with their broccoli cheddar quiche. Its so full of good cheddar cheese and broccoli and not overly eggy. The outside is crispy and cheese and the crust is thin but good. It comes with a nice salad that has always been very fresh. The ladies here are sweet and service is good. I have been twice and been able to get in an out in under an hour.

The best lunch place ever. This place really takes the cake… Literally and figuratively. A holiday time there is a line of people picking up their homemade cakes and pies. Their coconut cream pie is «to die for. « A small, quaint place hidden on Palmetto park just west of the intercostal, it only has 10 or so small tables. Outside seating is also available. The decoration is a country flair. They decorate the bathroom with every holiday. A visit to the bathroom is a Must! Oh yes, the food! Everything is homemade. Great spicy shrimp salad, delicious chicken salad, fabulous salmon salad on French bread or whole wheat. The bread is thick slides and Devine. The salads are fantastic and unbelievable generous portioned cakes are wonderfully plated. Again, it’s quaint. Seating fills up quickly in season. Only open for lunch. You’re gonna love it!

I found this place on Unilocal and have been wanting to try it for awhile. It was AMAZING! This is a great time of year to check it out since it isn’t crowded like during the winter. It has about 10 tables inside and about 8 tables outside. Most tables are two seaters. The staff is super friendly. They have daily specials and the dessert selection changes daily. The only desserts that are consistent are the chocolate cake and banana cake. My friend had the chicken and pecan quiche. I had never heard of a quiche with those ingredients. It was the tallest quiche I have ever seen and it was delicious. They serve it with a side salad of mixed greens… no iceberg here! I had the soup/sandwich for $ 10.95. The creamy tomato soup was delicious and the perfect bowl size. The sandwich was made with fresh roasted turkey! No deli meat here:) They top it with tomato and lettuce and your choice of cheese($ 1 extra) and mustard or mayo. The bread selection includes French or whole wheat. We finished with a slice of the BEST chocolate cake EVER!!! It is homemade and you can taste that there are no added chemicals or preservatives. It tastes like the chocolate cake my mom makes. It was moist and the frosting was so fresh and chocolaty. The slice was large and is enough for three people to share. I can’t wait to go back for more chocolate cake. This is a great place for lunch. Make sure you check out the lady’s restroom!!! Coolest restroom I have ever seen.
