YOKO-SAN

Tonight was by far one of the most awkward dinners my husband and I have had. From the judgemental yet very good hibachi chef to the young oblivious waiter our dining experience was less than par. This appears to be a struggling restaurant grasping for its final breath within the successful royal palm restaurant culture. No reason why a large restaurant like this should have only two tables and two people at the bar on a Friday night. Not to mention a poorly placed office door directly off the hibachi table section that had more traffic than the main entrance…
After doing some research, we think this restaurant was taken over by a management consultant firm back in July. Seems like they havent come far at all. Guess it’s hard to rebuild a house when the foundation sucks.
Overall, the food was prepared well and tasted great! The service on the other hand (including the negative talk by our chef) was terrible and is the main reason we will not be returning.

Poor quality, horrendous service and overpriced.
Many better places to go to in Mizner, This one is just a No Go!

Enjoyed hibachi with my girlfriend here this evening and have to say this isn’t just the only hibachi location nearby, but one of the best. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, the chef was personable and all the staff was helpful. The manager even came by to talk to us about how we were enjoying everything. Will definitely be back, and suggest going here if you’ve ever loved hibachi!

Horrible. Everyone is confused. 9 employees and no one knows what is going on. Six patrons in the restaurant and they gave us our salad without dressing as well as the table next to us. Our steak hibachi entrée never came. Lots of people standing around. Waiter was very nice but the kitchen sucks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I would like to call myself a veteran of Hibachi restaurants, and I can say with absolutely certainty that Yoko-​San is my favorite. I came here for the first time tonight and have already made plans to come back on Friday for ladies’ night. (Which is 50% off sushi from 7 – 9 and free drinks from 9 – 11.) I had the veggie hibachi entrée with fried rice. Yum! The edamame was also superb, I’d definitely recommend it for an appetizer.

This place has all the essentials if you are looking for a good night out with friends. The food is off the charts, the bartender has a heavy hand, and the music keeps you bouncing. I’ll definitely be going back again and again.
We had sushi which was very tasty and I can’t remember the drinks. The hookah adds a nice touch when you’re just looking to vibe on a low key night.

My table ordered a series of sushi and hibachi dishes and it was all fantastic. Specifically the Miami Heat roll, the shrimp tempura and the rainbow roll. We also had the Tokyo Tea which was amazing.
Recommend this for a great night out. The team makes it exciting and fun! Looking forward to visiting again.

The food is just amazing. The chef even came over to our table. It’s the service that I have to give it two stars for. As someone in the industry myself I am very critical, but our server Erika was just a train wreck. She was rude, and would rather be outside smoking cigarettes as we saw. I wanted a refill on my drink, she never came by. She kept on asking us to «close out» even when we weren’t through with the food. At the end of the meal was when she asked if we wanted something else to drink, after we had been pressured to pay the check.
Go for the food. Be warned that the service is crap. After still a 25 percent tip, she failed to thank us for anything. Just rude.

Yoko-​san is a very good Benihana type restaurant. They copy many of the routines that Benihana does. Yoko-​san tries very hard but doesn’t quite live up to Benihana’s level. Don’t get me wrong they are quite good, just not good enough. When you copy someone it is difficult to be as good. I enjoyed my meal very much, the restaurant was very clean and everyone, particularly Victor, the owner are very nice and helpful. I would recommend a night out out at Yoko-​san any time. The food was extremely tasty and I loved it.

This place is gross i go to saitos in west palm and pay the same price. Almost couldn’t eat the food it was disgusting

The sushi was pretty darn good, very fresh. We had the Miami Heat rolls they were delicious. Ordered a second order! I also had the shrimp fried rice, huge bowl, and very yummy as well. Both bartenders named Daniella (one spelled differently) were fantastic!

This place is really great if you want hibachi and a good time! It is a little hidden but the only hibachi in East Boca and very delicious! It has a swanky vibe and maybe needs to have more of a focus on hibachi and less on staying open until 2am and hookah outside which was a big turn off for me. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday and the place was almost completely empty with many waiters standing around and their website is not up yet and they have no online presence at all. I spoke to them about this and they said they are working on it. They need to get their act together soon of they will be out as fast as they came in. The hibachi tables are nice and the food is really tasty and fresh and flavorful. If you are in the area you should stop by and try it out. I would definitely come back here for hibachi and $ 5 wine from 5−8pm with other happy hour deals.

The only hibachi in east boca and its REALLY good. The problem is the location. This place has been really shit out because of construction but it’s all good now and frankly, Gluttonous Goat blows and the drinks here are so way better. The yum yum sauce is like Benihana and the service is great. What are you waiting for? I’m having my hibachi as I write this review because I don’t want to see this place go out of business. Great restaurants deserve to succeed and this is really a great place to eat with an affordable happy hour

We stumbled in to the sushi restaurant and lounge because they serve late, till 2 AM!
We did not have super high expectations and we were nonetheless delighted with everything!
Christie our server was fantastic.
The Tom Yum and Tom Ka, soup were superb.
The roles were also excellent and plentiful. They even had cilantro which we like to add to the tuna roll
Lobster pad Thai and shrimp with green curry were both fantastic. Perfectly seasoned a little kick very fresh tasting and the shrimp and lobster were excellent quality.

I came here last night with a group of friends, as it was part of the The Dog Rescue Bus Loop. It was very packed because it was a starting point of the night. I ordered my complimentary drink and some sushi. The service was great considering the amount of people that were there. I would definitely recommend coming here for cocktails and delicious sushi! Our bartender was fantastic, she was full of personality and attentive. It’s very rare to find great service combined with great food. I high recommend coming here.

Good sushi… sexy tuna roll is a good choice. Very nice staff… parking is an issue…2^nd time here will return and maybe try hibachi next time

Excellent food!!! Excellent service! Everything about my experience at Yoko San was great. I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again!!!
