Not a coffee person at all but there’s is so good that I will try it again. Also, you have to try a slice of the pumpkin cake!

Love, love, love their beans. They’re really pricey – sometimes running you up to $ 12 for 8oz, but they’re worth it. I’m less enthusiastic about the coffee they make in the shop. Doing everything via a pourover means two things: 1) coffee prices will be more expensive, and 2) it’s going to take a while to get your drink. Now, this would all be fine, IF they did a great job with the pourover. Blue Bottle uses what appears to be customized Bee House coffee drippers, meaning you’re going to get a flat bottom vs. the conical shape of the v60. It means less extraction and, unfortunately, less flavor. Everyone in Blue Bottle is super nice and they do an awesome job with espressos and lattes. Unfortunately for me, the price/quality of the pourover keeps them from getting that 5th star. For a straight cup of coffee, I’ll head down to Court St. and go to Café Pedlar.

Double/triple Chocolate cookie was a really solid way to drop $ 3.00 at a coffee shop for this non-coffee drinker.

Great use of a tiny space on a thriving corner of Smith Street a block from the subway. Of course Blue Bottle coffee is pretty good, that goes without saying, but I’m really impressed by the solid and stylish bar they have, the couple relaxing stools inside, big window, outside benches, and even a bathroom. They fit way more into that tiny space than many cafes which are much larger. Solid coffee(in particular the New Orleans iced coffee, unique among neighborhood options), surprisingly comfortable tiny space, and a bathroom. Excellent.

Really great coffee! Great flavor, well made, rich, full of body. The baristas are friendly and very good at their job. This coffee is very pricey, but totally worth the price. I like to get it as a once in a while treat to myself!

I was on my way to Trader Joes and decided to check this spot out. I got a latte which was 4.50 $+tax =4.91 $. Pretty expensive for the area. I Was not impressed with my beverage at all, it tasted like milk with some coffee flavor. Not what I’m used to when I order late. Would not come back. There are so many better spots.

After reading great reviews on Unilocal and really wanting to try new coffee shops, J and I decided to try out Blue Bottle Coffee. This location is actually really small, more of a to-go place, although they do have a few stools by the window. The menu is pretty small, which is actually pretty cool to me, since I won’t spend forever deciding what I should get. We decided on the New Orleans Iced Coffee(4.00 + Tax… what?) which has chicory and cane sugar in it. I personally don’t like sugar in my Iced Coffee and like the plain coffee flavor(no special flavors, etc). The New Orleans wasn’t sweet at all, which I liked. The chicory, however, gave it a good but interesting flavor, which I would describe as nutty but it wasn’t amazing. Overall, I’ll stick to my regular iced coffee. I feel that it’s too expensive for what you’re getting(size/amount), even if it is good quality. If you’re a coffee fanatic or just want a decent cup-o-joe, Blue bottle is a good place to go to or try out.

Cute, small place in north part of Carrol Gardens with high quality coffee and cakes. The service is generally quick and friendly and they have 4 stools for a quick break. Nice place to stop by.

Today I visited this smaller location, I tried the New Orleans Cold Brew coffee and my GF tried the latte. Both were incredibly good, honestly that’s the best cold brew iced coffee I have ever had! Price was great :) highly recommend this place

Possibly the smallest Blue Bottle location in the city. The baristas knew what they were doing, as expected. They were also not the most friendly, as also expected. They are good at their jobs and that’s what matters. I only ordered a NOLA iced coffee, which involves no craftsmanship on their part, but I was served quickly and professionally. I sat by the window and enjoyed the lovely lighting and the blasting ac on a burning hot day. There are 3 or 4 seats available. Very clean. Got some people watching done and this is definitely a hipster neighborhood lol almost everyone who came in after me ordered their coffee with almond milk. lol There are benches available outside and I am not sure about the wifi, but worth it for the coffee alone.

Blue Bottle NY Brooklyn Cobble Hill So Many Times Five Stars I feel bad drinking California Coffee in a city filled with great coffee roasters but Blue Bottle is the place I go: if I am having a bad day, if I want to celebrate or if I am simply close by. The warm weather has transitioned by usual cappuccino order to Ice Coffee. They have two types the New Orleans which heavenly with chocolate and chicory flavor a with a touch of sugar cane sweetness. They recommend milk but I usually opt for cream. The second is the cold brew which has little acid but a slight citrus tang. It so delicious that adding diary would be atrocious but do whatever you like. I cannot tell you how good this place is. So forth and try it.

Location: Beautiful area, within 5 minutes walking distance of A Train. Its a small place on dean right off the corner of Smith. You will barely notice it because its super small. The big blue bottle painted on the side makes it stand out. I hate that there is limited seating inside, like 3 seats by the window. Its basically a place for take out. Coffee Review: I got a latte and it was on point! It had the right amount of kick in it and tasted freshly roasted(not burnt). It is one of the best latte’s I had so far. Down side there is no where to seat to enjoy it except on the bench outside. Will come back to try other coffees.

My last latte in NY… Left a gorgeous taste in my mouth(along with the pasty from Bien Cuit across the road) and I missed my flight. Still a happy memory! Friendly staff doing their pour over thing… Awesome Mast Brothers hot chocolate too!

Blue Bottle is one of the best! It’s the cream of the crop. If you are looking for a quality delicious coffee, you have come to the right place. I was ecstatic this summer when I noticed a location was opening in Cobble Hill. I do love so many coffee shops in this neighborhood and they all have their strengths. Blue Bottle is all about the details and the decadence. I come here for the kidn of strong coffee that will put a little hair on my chest(metaphorically of course). It’s strong, melt your teeth kinda strong. But I can’t help myself but indulge. Then they have their signature decadent cookies. My older brother is a fan of the lard and pb cookie. And of course they have a selection of the equally beautiful Mast Brothers chocolates. And some other caffeine making goodies to make coffee at home. And I love that their espresso machine is decked out in fabric. The only con is that it’s too tiny to get really comfy and find a corner to nestle with a book with. And sometimes I am in the mood for a corner. I also love an iced coffee after a big lunch.

Absolutely adorable spot, but we aware: Take & go, or else the only place to «sit» is at the window counter overlooking Dean Street, which can accommodate about four people at best. A friend, the beau, and I saw this place from a distance while walking through the neighborhood on a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon. We wanted to sit… but…yeah. Ha! No matter. We got our delicious drinks quickly; I opted for the Mast Brothers hot cocoa, which is definitely leaning on the side of bitter and cocoa-y as opposed to sweet and chocolaty. I like it that way! Too many cocoas are over-sweetened, which is nice on occasion, but I prefer it with more natural cocoa flavor as opposed to drinking a liquid milk chocolate bar. The quality of the Americano I saw the beau get was impressive; it was rich, creamy and fragrant. Though I’m not a coffee-drinker, I can see why so many people go gaga over Blue Bottle Coffee!

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I literally don’t know what I did before it opened. I do know that I am spoiled forever… Regular coffee will never be the same. The staff is so kind. So generous. They affectionately make what has come to be the highlight of most of my days. Be it an iced New Orleans style, or café latte, the art and care and, honestly, craftsmanship that goes into these caffeine delivery devices. I’m a big fan. My dependency on caffeine is high, granted. But I don’t keep coming back for the buzz, it’s the warmth and friendship of this little shop’s baristas that’s turned blue bottle into my new favorite habit.

My feelings for Blue Bottle Coffee are usually ones of unquestioning affection, but here the halo slipped slightly, maybe because I deviated from my usual drip coffee routine. Feeling slightly reckless I ordered a flat white. I consider flat whites to be slightly more difficult to pull off than lattes, but who better to charge with this task than the mighty Blue Bottle? The result however was. slightly disappointing: inoffensive but somewhat bland compared to the flat whites I’m used to in London. Then, determined to import some of the Blue Bottle magic back to the UK, I asked the wool-attired baristas which coffee they’d recommend for Aeropress. In contrast to the confident, unswerving suggestions one typically receives in London speciality cafes, their answers were vague, noncommital and even inaccurate as to the stock levels they had. Eventually I retrieved a bag of Ethiopian beans and was at least pleased to see that it had been roasted the previous day. I remain a fan of Blue Bottle Coffee, and, just about, of this location. However, their slip-ups were disconcerting, akin to discovering that a hero of mine — my parents, Google, Anthony Wiener — was irrefutably human after all. Ah well.

Arguably the best coffee in this part of Brooklyn. We’ve been going to Blue Bottle for years, and were excited that there a shop opened much closer to usl. The space is tiny! Thankfully, the line, from what I have seen, is never very long. The baristas are friendly and efficient. Really, you can’t go wrong with any of their offerings. Iced coffee and pour overs are my staple here, and i have always been satisfied.

This newest location of one of the best high-end coffee chains operating in NY these days is one of the smallest, but still has all the same awesome stuff. It’s pretty much like a glorified, indoor coffee counter. There is room enough for 5 or 6 people to stand comfortably inside. There are no seats and just a small counter to lean against for the few who snag a spot. They have the same lineup of excellent sweets as at other locations though. Most notably, the delicious cookies: Ginger Molasses, Snickerdoodle and best of all, Double Chocolate($ 2 each). Most importantly, to go along with a cookie or two, the coffee here really is great and worth the high prices. The Cold Brew is so good, and requires no sweetening, but nothing beats the New Orleans Style Cold Brew($ 4). They add a good amount of whole milk, which helps explain why it’s so good. I just wish they had larger cups, which I would gladly pay more for, but it’s probably a good thing they don’t since I would end up dropping way too much money on coffee. This will become my new first stop for a snack and a drink before a stroll down Smith Street.
