Had a great experience. Nice frame selection, excellent service. Glasses ready same day. Will def recommend and visit again :) Doctor was very professional and knowledgeable.

Triple-​booked their 11am appointment and at 11:15 the doctor was still looking for parking. Bring a book /​Probably not reliable if you’re trying to fit your appointment into a busy day.
Update: They misquoted me on accepting my insurance, Obamacare version isn’t covered and they didn’t ask that when I set up my appt. Heads up.

Been a client for roughly 5 years. Never had a problem, never a complaint or misunderstanding. Great hours. Reasonable prices and a wide selection of designer and non-​designer frames. The staff is great, I especially love that they ALWAYS greet me by my first name, whenever I call or walk in. Love the personal service. Been there in an emergency and annual check-​ups. Exams are thorough for regular glasses and contacts. I WOULD recommend them to a friend!

I would give this place five stars, but I am still a relatively new costumer. I only needed a contact lenses prescription, so I can’t attest to other services.
I was a walk-​in. They were very courteous and helpful. The lady assisting me immediately did a thorough investigation of my insurance (one btw that is not often taken at optician/​optometrist offices). I was pleasantly surprised that they accepted my coverage. She carefully explained the details of my coverage, of which I was very appreciative.
The wait was very short (even with other patients/​customers present in the store) and the optometrist was really wonderful. She was patient, kind and very thorough. I was very impressed. She was determined to find the absolute best lenses for me. I found the staff very helpful and professional. The environment is calm, clean and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Professional, big selection of frames, reasonable prices. Very nice and helpful staff. Dr I saw was very professional and got my prescription right, which is a big deal for me, everywhere else I went Optimetrist would always make a mistake. Optician was very helpful too. She recommended lenses that suit me better, and not necessarily expensive ones, which I think shows, that they care about a customer, rather than sell the most expensive frame/​lens.

I had two separate appointments a week apart and had a lovely experience with both. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the overhead leaves a bit to be desired, and I am a little bummed that I won’t be able to continue my care with them (need for more advanced machines). But I really wish I could continue my care with them! It was such friendly service, and they did everything with my insurance (this hasn’t happened in the past!). Doctors were so nice and courteous, Front end store clerks were so nice and even warned me about something being more expensive and not worth it. Totally trustworthy and awesome! Would recommend to my friends.

I went in for an appointment today but was unable to be seen. Even though they verified over the phone that they took my insurance, which I explained my insurance thoroughly over the phone, today the said that they didn’t. In truth they were unable to find out which coverage I had even though they could see that I had vision coverage and just didn’t want to be bothered.
I don’t blame them for not being able to find the coverage, I will have to take that up with my insurance company but the appointment just ended there. I am a repeat customer and just found it weird that they didn’t even ask if I could pay out of pocket until we were able to figure out which plan I had.
I have paid out of pocket for eye exams and glasses for years before I had coverage and could have done it today. I have been there 3 times over the years. THEY CALLED ME to make this appointment but were quick to say we can’t help you without a 2^nd thought.

Great hours, super reasonable staff, a few times I have even been able to walk in and have an appt. thank you so much victory vision. I don’t even live in the city any lee and still go here, no joke.

FINALLY a place that actually does a thorough eye exam! I can’t tell you how many places I’ve been over the past few years since living in Brooklyn and not one asked past medical history until coming here! Working in medicine, it’s actually important to know if someone has diabetes/​hypertension etc– pretty sure the other places I’ve gone to have never heard of diabetic or hypertensive retinopathy. I’m pretty confident that this optometrist would recognize when someone has an abnormal eye exam and know when to refer to an ophthalmologist.
They have a great selection of eye glasses– I had a hard time choosing between a few favorites. The women that work there were so helpful, literally having me try on well over 20 different frames and giving, much appreciated, honest opinions about which frames worked best with my face shape/​eye color.

This is a great place with excellent service and modern equipment and eyewear. I have been trusting them for a few years and have always was liked away happy.

I’ve been a customer there for roughly 3 years.
My first experience was with an eye exam, they were very friendly and was impressed by the level of equipment and technology they had. Coming from my eye doctor of 15 years on Madison ave on the Upper East Side didn’t have the same technology.
Then getting new lenses for new frames and or drivers license eye-​exams and subsequent prescriptions for sunglasses, this family owned and operated place is really wonderful, courteous, professional, and just had a lovely experience.
I highly recommend this place if you live in the Ft. Greene, North Slope area.

I wrote a scathing review at first, but that’s because I think I put my contacts in the wrong eyes. However, this could have been prevented if they labeled the boxes, which they didn’t do, and I had to twist their arms to answer my questions and they generally just rushed me in and rushed me out. Not bad people, but not helpful at all. If you know exactly what you want and don’t need any service this place will do, but if you want to be informed at all, and want some guidance I would go elsewhere.

I was a returning customer to Victory and was not happy the 2^nd time around.
I had some questions about what my insurance covered and they could not give me any straight answers and kept contradicting themselves. Then when the young sales person referred to the doctor, they spoke about me right in front me in Russian, and did this several times, which I think is just rude.
Not the most friendly service. Went to Urban Optics and am happier there.

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience here. Each time I went in for an appointment there was a long wait time (one time I waited for an hour) and I didn’t find the doctors particularly kind or helpful. Actually, the two different doctors I saw (I had to go back because the first prescription was incorrect) were kind of on the rude side and a bit impatient. The manager was very nice, however. I wouldn’t go back here though.
