Lyin’ cheatin’ crooks! Can I give zero stars? Reluctantly had a vehicle towed here because it was the closest repair shop, and my roadside assistance service only covers up to 6 miles. I’d been warned that these guys are typical shyster mechanics, and when they quoted the parts, a 250% markup – and labor, $ 400 for what ought to be a half-​hour job, I felt deeply insulted. In the process now of arranging a second tow to a trustworthy mechanic, like Red’s in S. Hackensack or Curtis in Maywood, both who’ve never failed me before.

We’ve been going to Tom’s for 4 years now with our high-​mileage Mazda, and they’ve handled everything from oil changes to pretty major repairs.
The whole staff is super-​respectful to both my husband AND me – very woman-​friendly atmosphere, and they keep the industry lingo to a minimum. Everyone there can explain, in detail, what the problem is and give a few options to deal with it. They’re conscious of saving money for their customers when they can, while remaining extremely safety-​minded.
Even though we’ve moved out of Bogota, we’ve continued to make the trip up Rte 4 to come to Tom and his team, which is saying a great deal in traffic-​heavy Bergen County! Truly the best we’ve encountered.
