I brought a group from work here as a team event. The annual«Empty Bowls» event for the Idaho Foodbank. It was SOFUN. They have a room for groups. Light, bright, fun. They let us bring lunch in. We ate and then painted like we were 10 years old again. It was really fun. The ceramicaistas(staff) were fantastic too — they walk you through that what and whys and dive right in to help with some of the more advanced techniques. They have a mountain of paint, paint applicators, and tools. Groups who book in advance get a nice discount too. It was a delightful, reasonably priced team event.

Lost receipt — went in to tell them what we had made… was told– can’t help without receipt… finally few months later… found recipes and was told my 4 year olds piece was donated. Absolutely ridiculous… I can’t stand businesses like this– shoulder shrug, sorry, can’t help.

Really nice place and very fun too! The staff are friendly and nice although the younger high school age staff — while still nice — kind of forget they are at work sometimes and not everything they talk about is appropriate for all audiences :)

I hadn’t been to one of these businesses in over a decade, and it was nice to go again. The woman running the place was super nice and inviting. It’s easy to just sit and paint and we never felt rushed. I can’t wait to pick up our soy bowl set next week. So much better than anything we would have bought, and so much more fun for an open afternoon.

Ceramica is a wonderful Boise tradition. I’ve painted bisque with my 40-something best friends, with Girl Scouts, for birthday parties; you name it. Recently, we were stumped on a Saturday afternoon — what to do with three 16-year old German house guests? Take them to Ceramica! We’ll ship their creations to them and they’ll have unique mementos. The staff is so patient, letting you come in multiple times to get your piece just right and not at all stingy with the glaze. Yes, it’s spendy, but sitting in Old Boise with a latte, a painting project and good friends is the best. Their hours-of-operation are good but unusual, so check ahead.
