Tasty and good quality fish friendly staff reasonable price. The sitting space is family welcoming. Menu is simple and straight forward.

The only reason I’m giving one star is because that is the lowest rating I could give! We were seated at the table and our drink orders were taken, an hour later, we got our drinks… kind of. I asked twice if we could get our drinks, which was 8 waters, a beer and a soda. We received our appetizers before any drinks or silverware. Finally our waitress comes out and apologized for the poor service and explained that she was brand new and was frustrated that we still had not been taken care of and she had asked for help. I requested to speak to the manager and she refused to come to our table, instead she sent another employee to see if we needed anything. We have received part of our drink order and are still waiting. The original server came back to see if the manager had came to see us, we explained that she sent someone else. Our original server was great and went above what should have been required. She was practically in tears speaking to us. I would give our server 5 stars, the management and the other severs should find a new line of work. If I was the owner I know of at least 3 who’d be out of jobs.

Stopped here for lunch while walking around downtown Boise. This place is super dope!!! Amazing food and cold beer! Voted best seafood 10 times in a row, you bet your ass! I’m a believer!

This one is a no for me. Service was slow. Food was average at best. Clams were so bad they were actually sent back to the kitchen. Would not go to again with so many other great places in town.

Had the seafood sampler to start and no complaints. It was all hot and tasted great. I had the pesto salmon blt and it was very good. Salmon was cooked thoroughly but not dry and everything tasted fresh. Service was great and would definitely go back!

Ordered crab cakes, they were greasy, over salted and cold in the middle. I’m not entirely sure but they were probably frozen and just tossed on the grill to heat them up. We got up and walked out.

This was one of the worst dinner experiences we have had. There were lipstick marks on the wine glasses. The salmon was dull/​overlooked and didn’t have any pesto taste at all! The fettichini was so cheesy that we had tummy problems for days. When asked if there was an ingredient on the dish — they said no– when it came there was that ingredient on the plate. All in all, I would not recommend this place at all!

Poor quality of food so don’t come to this place. Shrimp Bisque soup tasted like Chef Boyardee, chicken sandwich tastes like tenders that you get a fast food joint, salad that my gf got needed avocado and it looked like plain salad with a bunch of ingredients on top of it. Now the sign says Voted Best Seafood Years In A Row which is a hoax. I don’t believe that.

Not happy my BF had a chicken sandwich that looked like chicken nuggets from Burger King. I am not really sure how this place was voted best seafood in downtown. Soup and my salad was sooooo disappointing. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome food. Friday evening my husband and I were in three area for Jaialdi. The Basque places were packed but we ran into a friend that recommended this restaurant.
We both ordered from their special menu for the festival. The crocettas were outstanding, as well as the empanadas. I had the lamb burger. It was so good! Tender and very tasty. My husband had the paella and said it was the best he’s ever had.
Our food came within a reasonable time, less than 15 min which was surprising since the place was packed. Very enjoyable experience. We will be going back!

Wasn’t entirely impressed. We walk in, there is a wall blocking the view of people coming in so it took a waitress 10 minutes to realize we were even there. The mascato was fabulous but the rest. …meh. I tried the crab bake and it wasn’t very warm and I don’t know why they had slices of tomato on the bottom. Didn’t really add anything to it and it just made the bottom a little runny. The waitress wasn’t that great but the food runner was really nice and took better care of us.

Wow. The worst service we have ever had! It started by our waitress not knowing they were out of one of their beers on tap, which we both ordered, then bringing a coors light to my husband when he ordered a Coors. We ordered the seafood sampler appetizer, which never came. They brought us our dinners, at which time they said they would put a rush on the platter and bring it. It came way after we finished our fish tacos (the only pleasant part of the experience). My husband’s order arrived wrong (1 taco instead of 2). They brought him another one after we told them, again. The menu said «sour cream upon request» which my daughter asked for twice and then was told they were out. The «appetizer» finally arrived and the crab cake was inedible. Are they supposed to be runny?! So much mayonnaise we could not eat it. When the check arrived it was completely wrong so I had to go find the waitress and she said «oh I printed the wrong one». All around terrible experience. My poor daughter left her sweater there and we went back the next morning and they said they didn’t have it. I’m quite sure she threw it in the trash since we left her no tip. Which I NEVER do. Having been a waitress in college I normally tip 20% and 15% if service is bad. Strongly do not recommend this place! I would say no stars for this establishment but I’m not sure if that’s possible.

On September 19^th 2014, my boyfriend and I decided to go there, we were greeted and seated. It wasn’t busy. There were less than 10 customers in the entire restaurant. Two women were sat near us a couple minutes after we were sat down. Their waitress took their food and drink orders, we had not even seen our waiter/​waitress. We waited longer, the 2 ladies recieved their drinks and appetizers, their waitress didn’t even acknowledge us and we hadn’t seen ours. We left after waiting paintiently more than 20 minutes.

My wife and I went today for dinner having read the high rating by the Statesman.
To be fair but to be accurate it may have been the worst food at such a «higher» price that I have ever had.
I paid $ 19.99 for halibut on top of Bruscetta with a side salad. Salad was okay but the 2 thin pieces of «HALIBUT» 2X3 inches, I would guess, was luke warm and looked right out of the freezer. It sat on 5 pieces of toast and chopped tomatoes. It was not fresh and it was tasteless, pathetic.
The service was fine but will never go their again and amazing how a restaurant can stay in business but then again we did not see many people in the restaurand. Duh.
Also, just read the other 1 and 2 star ratings, should have checked first.

Pedro helped my fiancé and I on his birthday when we were downtown and decided to stop in for lunch. He was so great, he made his birthday even better just with his friendliness and personality. We will definitely go back to see him.
We got the clam chowder in a bread bowl and fish and chips… both were great.

We were on our way back to the hotel after an enjoyable walk along the Greenbelt. Saw the «Lunch Special» sign out in front of Fresh Off The Hook — Grilled Salmon. Very tasty and a great value for $ 10. Fast and efficient service, nice atmosphere, and tasty, very well presented meals. Would definately go back.

Just stopped in to check out main restaurant after going to smaller one to see if we might want to come back for dinner. Front end guy just turned and walked away without saying s word when we told him what we were doing.
You might have best food, although the crab cakes were terrible at other store. Your customer service needs serious help.
Maybe your accolades went to your head… You can lose it just as fast as you received them.
We will not be coming for dinner nor refer this place to anyone.

Took my son to dinner tonight and we found our way to this restaurant and noting the signs that said the restaurant was voted the best seafood in town for something like 8 years in a row, I was expecting something special. I was sorely disappointed. My son ordered the blackened salmon, and I chose the Smoky Yukon Salmon. My son’s salmon appeared well-​prepared and he said the flavor was very good. My salmon, on the other hand, was so salty I couldn’t finish it and when I brought it the the attention of my waitress, even from several feet away she said «oh, and it’s not properly cooked, I will tell the chef». She offered to bring another piece of fish, but I was so nauseated by the first one, I declined. This was after she had just comped the table next to us with free sorbet for something that went poorly with their meal. I was very disappointed with the meal and I won’t be back. I nearly vomited on the way back to our hotel and was sick for several hours afterward.
