The sole operator of this «sham» of company, Matthew Merlino, will do a cursory look at your potential home at best, provide a few pictures to prove that he was actually at the property, and take your money (nearly $ 500) and run. He then covers his mistakes and faulty inspection criteria in a maze of legal disclaimers within his contract, so that he has no culpability whatsoever when mistakes are found with the home. You are better off inspecting the home yourself than hiring this «incompetent pretender» of a home inspector.
We moved from out of state, and as a result put a great deal of faith in our realtor and inspector that we were purchasing a home with fair value and condition as it pertained to the seller’s disclosure report. Homeworkers failed miserably in this regard, and as a result we are over $ 7,000 out of pocket in additional expenses. I discovered this fault with our home within 5 minutes of entering the home, and the repair companies and contractors we used for estimates, to a man, said your inspector must be incompetent to have not found these faults.
