Ehh. My family and I did this last summer. Some of the race were fun, other parts were dangerous, other parts were kind of ridiculous and felt like a lazy set up. 1) Fun parts: of course bouncy houses are fun! Plus I was doing this with my family and they are a fabulous group that could have fun doing most anything. It felt like there were several obstacles at the beginning and several at the end. Just 1 or 2 in between. 2) Dangerous parts: one of the inflatable obstacles left half of our party injured. You scramble to get in and there are a bunch of stacked round inflatables with big gaps in between(kind of hard to describe). The idea is to bounce from one spot to the other(I think? It happened anyway as an instinct not to fall) — but the catch is that they placed this obstacle right over the parking lot so if you fell(which was very easy to do given our 50% injury rate), you slipped a couple feet and landed on hard concrete. No fun. Very painful. 3) Lazy set up parts: literally half of the race was running back and forth in a giant gravel parking lot. I felt like I was in high school track. Several people just skipped through because you feel a little stupid running back in forth versus on a path of some sort. Other parts were very poorly marked– it just looked like haphazardly placed cones. If this race had been $ 20, I would say– lazy, but forgivable. When you are paying $ 50 – 60 a person, it’s a little upsetting. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but I’ve based my rating on points 2 and 3, especially given the price.

If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to make an entrance into the world of running, then I would highly recommend signing up for this. For someone who is not a runner, this was a great way to get out there and try it. We had so much fun playing around on the giant inflatables. They’re a great way to break up the monotony of running, especially if you’re not used to it.

I absolutely enjoyed this 5k. It was a fun race that was family friendly. The inflatables made a fun twist to the race. I will be doing it every time from now on~!

Putting the fun back in fun run. I’m glad we did the 10am wave because it was a little warm. I’m also surprised by how many people were there. The climb up to the top of some of the inflatables really winded me. It was a great father daughter activity.

What a great activity, perfect for a first date with a high school classmate. We walked the route rather than run, but had as much fun as anyone. The obstacles made for an interesting diversion throughout the course.
