Red Wing Shoe Store

I came in to exchange some boots that did not fit right with my work gear and was treated like a huge inconvenience by manager. When you spend $ 250 on a pair of boots (made in China) you should be treated like your business is valued not like a piece of dirt. I could barely get a word out of her and when a thanked her for the «help» (because my parents taught me manners) she walked away and said nothing.

I call several times trying to find out if this is the same Bolingbrook location and I get no answer after calling six times I end up going there and finding out there is one employee by the phone not answering I try and keep myself from being rude and I ask her to oil my boots and I tell her that the stichting has come undone on the second pair of zippers I by and she says well you can buy another
Do you really think I want to buy another pair of zippers and in total spend 105 dollars on zippers that’s almost as much as the damn boots I will not be back to this location ever again

My husband and I stopped in about 10 minutes before closing. He just wanted to see what they had and maybe check how accurate the sizes were.
When we walked in the clerk was vacuuming the floor. When she looked up at us I could tell she was not too happy. Which leads to this review.
To cut to the chase of this experience, the girl was rude, not talkative and not very forthcoming with information. Anything she said was in relation to a question asked and nothing more… no elaboration… etc.
In the end my husband did buy a pair of work boots but only because he could return them even if worn… thats what the clerk said. And he had already spent hundreds on foot doctor appts from the crappy Wolverine boots he had been wearing from Sears for years. Apparently they have changed some of the materials that go into making those boots.
And by the way, when we started the car, the clock read 7:03pm and the store closed at 7:00pm.
I think the girl should find another industry to work in since her retail skills are in the toilet or go to school and learn a skill.
