I like coming here. Every time I come here they have some sort of live entertainment. It does get loud in the bar area but the noise level is pretty normal in other places in the restaurant. Everything I have tried has been delicious. I always order the queso fundido. It is melted cheese with chorizo and green chili’s. I would ask for more tortillas though. It is great for large groups and celebrations.

Came here for breakfast with my mom on Saturday morning, they just opened as we got there. This is located near Rohr Park and a good stop for post-run refueling. Well, at least if you’re like me and think Chilequiles are perfectly acceptable post-run fuel! Server took our order right away and service was quick — again, we were the first and only people in the restaurant for a bit. Mom ordered Chipotle Chilequiles and I ordered another kind, sorry can’t remember, with carne on it. Both were good! They went a bit heavy on the sauce for my liking but still, both were great. Oh also note that their sides are beans and potatoes, not the typical beans and rice you might expect. I’m sure the menu noted it, but mom was expecting rice and got potatoes. All and all, left happy and satisfied

My family and I have been searching for a good sit down mexican restaurant for a bit, and this place answered our wishes! They have hands down the best home made orchata you will ever get at a restaurant, it’s probably the best I ever had. The food was delicious(we had the cane asada plate), and the staff was friendly and responsive. Overall, this visit was everything we were looking for.

Came here on Wednesday for the $ 1 fish tacos and was not disappointed. The tacos were super yummy. The taco shells didn’t hold up well, though — they fell apart rather quickly and it was quite messy to eat. Still yummy though. I regretted only ordering two tacos. I could have easily eaten at least three. We also ordered the queso fundido which was also delicious. Service was a bit slow but the staff were very friendly.

We were quickly seated even on a busy day like Cinco De Mayo. My carnitas cheese crisp was delicious and so was the chamango.

Food is good, but I do agree there service is lousy. Than again, I don’t go for the service, I go for the authentic Mexican food.

We live in Bonita, so we used to go to the La Finca quite frequently. It used to be a decent restaurant with relatively good customer service and very good food. We would sit at the bar and have dinner there and although the bartenders were never very conversational, they were competent and the service was acceptable most of the time. Now, however the service is crap. No one ever greets you when you come in the restaurant, and the staff all have snotty attitudes. I’m not kidding-it’s overt. Both of the last two times we have been in the restaurant, no one has bothered to come by our table or even acknowledge that we were there. It’s not like they did not know we were there-they were looking right at us. This time, the bartender was behind the bar, drinking and having a riot with what appeared to be her friends sitting at the bar. We have lived in this area for 17 years, and have been faithful to the local restaurants. This time, we are done. It sucks when you try to give local restaurants a chance and they do nothing but continue to disappoint. If you ever drive by this restaurant, keep driving.

I’ve been to La Finca a few times. Usually have live music on Fridays which we really enjoy. The green enchiladas were delicious. What made me think about not coming back was the service. There was 1 waitress for 3 tables in the bar area and still it took her 10 to 15 minutes to take our drink order. After dinner we ordered a drink from the bar and that took even longer. Bar tender was to busy chatting away with friends. I had to get up and ask for our check and it still took her 5 minutes to gwt it to us. We finally got our srink with our check.

Food was okay! Service was poor! So slow, out of 12 tables in the main room only 3 were filled. We were one of the 3. Last table to get our food. Our waitress was Isela, she MUST be new. That would only explain the service. Took forever for just water, then when we got our beers she had to go back twice because she kept getting it wrong then finally we decided to go to the bar ourselves and the bartender(hot by the way) was very friendly and helpful. After we finally got our food(30 mins later) we didn’t see her for the rest of the night it seemed until we got our bill. Even the Bill took forever also. Not coming back. Can only imagine what it’s like when it is busy. Garbage

We’ve been at this place a few times now and today’s was the last times. We had a party of 12 and they told us that we couldn’t split the check which I think it’s boloney. The food looked as it was over cooked and dry. It was a headache trying to figure out the check and how much each of us had to pay the 18%. Never again.

Came in on a Sunday for breakfast. The hostess(Maria) was very pleasant and my sever(Sarah) attentive. Had the nopales a la Mexican. It was a very decent portion. Enough for two. I will definitely be back.

I have been going here since they have opened. I live right down the street and I love the food. It’s the only thing that has kept me coming back. The service here is not good at all but I have dealt with it and have come to expect it, however, a recent experience had deterred me from ever going back. I ordered food around $ 20 and left a $ 3 – 4 tip. The charge was pending for about a week and when it posted it was for more than $ 45 which is over double my original bill. I called and the girl who answered told me to try when the manager was in. I ended up calling at least 6 times total over two weeks but now one could tell me when the manager would be in for sure. The 4th time I had called, a girl took down all the info she needed to resolve this incorrect charge and said the manager would get the note and call me that day or the next. He never called and when I called back she said the note was posted and he was notified so she has no idea why he hasn’t called me. I finally got a hold of him and he tried to make up some nonsense excuse about why he never called me and said, oh. I see the note now. He then told me that I need to bring in a bank statement that shows the incorrect charge. I told him I could bring my phone in and show him the charge from my bank app and he said no I have to print it and I asked if I screen shot would do and he said yes. One day my friend went in to eat so I asked her to see if the manager was there which he was, so I swung by. I brought him what he wanted and he immediately said the print out would not do and he couldn’t help me. I told him this not ok and he needs to figure this out before I left because it had been over a month of dealing with this. He went to the back for a bit and said he can’t find the receipt and doesn’t know what day I came and I told him that the note the hostess took had ALL of that info. He said there is nothing he can do at the moment but promised me he would send me a check within a week. It’s been over a month. This all started in mid November and its now mid January. Seriously the rudest and worst manager. I finally called my bank and they took care of it. That was my first plan but I decided to go through the restaurant first and they fialed miserably at even pretending to attempt to help. I have worked in several restaurants and this would never be ok. Seriously, save your time. Go to Murrietas next door, the restaurant is nice, the food is good, and the service is 1000 times better.

Came to this restaurant with a group of 8 on a fairly busy Sunday for breakfast. They really are not welcoming to large groups and kept seating parties of four instead of trying to make room for us. I thought all restaurants respect the first come first served rule but I presume this place makes the exception to that. Once we finally sat down we ordered our drinks right away but they took a long time to order our food. We waited an hour and a half from when we sat down to actually get our food served. The food was delicious though! They really need to work on their customer service and efficiency for prompt service.

We came here because Murrieta’s was packed. We sat in the bar area and there was about 10 – 15 sitting here. Wow what a hidden gem we found. I ordered some crazy drink that was very reasonably priced at 12 dollars called La Cazuelita, it was awesome and like two drinks in one! The waitress was very nice and was attentive. I ordered the carnitas and my wife ordered the steak fajitas. Both came out pretty quick and was amazing. The carnitas were juicy and at the same time had a decent crunch to them! My wifes steak fajitas had an awesome marinated taste! Enough food to take home and enjoy the next day! We’ll be back!!!

Came here on a Sunday with a group of 7 during a charger game. When I told the hostess at the door it was 7 of us she looked at one of the waiters and said«they are seven» with a not welcoming attitude as if it was a bad thing we were a big group. The place was probably less than half full and no one was in the Bar area. Finally we were seated fairly quickly. We asked for a couple of drinks after a waiting for a while before anyone showed up. When we asked for some cocktails we were told«there are no bartenders on duty right now and I do not know how to make those drinks». WOW!!! NFL Sunday and no bartender on duty despite the fact that they advertise«happy hour» every day from 3p-7p. Anyway, we were there already and hungry so we went ahead and order food which took way too long to arrive. Once we got served the service continued to be terrible. No spoons for the soups, no ketchup for a burger, no syrup for pancakes, no water after asking for it a couple of times, it was just a more thank disappointing experience especially since we had big expectations. The food was good, but that does not help this place when the service is more than slow, rude, and overall horrible for a sit down restaurant.

A few months ago my boyfriend’s family made reservations for his birthday for a fairly large party. When we got there nothing was prepared and the people working there didn’t even seem to care. The food was good but the service was so terrible there is no way I could give them more than three stars. Maybe it was an off day for them but their level of professionalism needs to be stepped up. I doubt we’ll be back again but good luck to those of you going there.

This place is fantastic! The food is great and best of all, the customer service is phenomenal! Our server, Darwin, was amazing! He made us feel right at home and created a wonderful atmosphere for our girls’ night out! He was attentive, warm, funny and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable! Best dining experience EVER!!!

The first time I went here, I wasn’t sure what to make of it because it seemed unheard of for there to be a Mexican restaurant in sleepy little Bonita that *wasn’t* a taco shop or Tex-Mex place. However, this place is a pretty nice place to sit down at, if you have the time. The atmosphere is nice and quaint; the restaurant itself is not overly large and its this nice, simple sit down style of restaurant. Nothing too gimmicky or over-the-top. In addition, the menu is pretty diverse and there’s a little something for everyone. In addition, the food’s pretty affordable, albeit a little pricier than your local taco shop is going to be. However, the prices are justified, considering the quality and quantity of the food. My favorite dishes to get, while here, are the chimichanga bites from the appetizer menu and their carne asada tacos. The reason I chose to give them four stars instead of five is because the service can be a little lacking. Even for their small size, the restaurant is a little short-handed and it isn’t unusual for their to be one waitress for the entire restaurant. If the restaurant had a bigger staff, I think they’d have slightly faster and more effective service.

I usually don’t write Unilocal reviews but with the new drink Menu they have at La Finca I had no choice. I’ve only tried the«la cazuelita» and«Chamango» I have to say they are the BOMB!!! What I liked about them is that you can tell right away they use fresh fruit, very flavorful! Regarding the service I honestly can’t complain, that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars. I will definitely be coming back and try other drinks from their Bar Menu and their restaurant food looked good too! Stay tuned for another review…
