Mountain Villa Motor Lodge

This place is the absolute pits. From start to (early) finish… The front desk stinks like stale smoke and is cluttered and dirty. The lady working there is the epitome of «dour» with a gruff attitude and no personality. The room was awful with a strange odor, burns and stains in the run down carpet, missing towel racks, and everything needed a thorough scouring. We toughed it out for one night, and when we got back from dinner there were groups of people playing their music with the doors open, cooking and drinking on the walkway outside the doors. The evening brought the occasional thump, bump, bang, and crash, but the real highlight of the night was the drunk rednecks yelling, cussing and fighting outside at 2am. When we told the dour front desk lady that wee wouldn’t be staying a second night, she responded «you should have called me,» then accidentally charged me for an extra night before getting the refund for the second night right. Needless to say, we won’t be staying here again. In fact, I don’t even want to drive past the place.

Simple, economical and clean. The AC/​Heat works, the sheets are clean and the water pressure is amazing.
For a budget you cant do any better. The staff was very nice, they even let us see the room before we committed. The prices are at least half of what you will pay at any other hotel in the Boone area.
