i just recently move from Florida to Boston and i was in urgent to do my eyebrows, and couple of my friends recommend Nazila, she was great, very profesional i will most certain that i will come back to two my eyebrows with her again… thanks Nazila for a great service that I receive.

I have been going to Nazila for over year and wanted to say she is great! When I started working in the Back Bay a few years ago, I needed to find a place close to work to get my hair done. After trying several places on Newbury St., I settled on Acote. Service is prompt, friendly (no attitude) and I am usually in and out in 45 mins with a great hair cut.

We moved to Boston 2 years ago and are so happy we learned of Nazila of Acote Salon.
My husband was first to get his haircut by Nazila and soon we had our 10 yr old son go and finally I went. I particularly have a lot of thick hair and had a rough experience with our neighborhood hair salon in Brookline. Nazila is a kind and professional hairstylist. I have had several haircuts by Nazilla and she is consistently excellent! The salon is pleasant in that you can get a nice cappuccino while you are there.

Nazila told me to write a review right after we finished but I wanted to wait a few days to see how I liked my hair cut. She was very pleasant, she didn’t talk much and very quiet. I tried to talk to her but didn’t say a lot. I have long hair and told her that I wanted no more that 2 inches off. She cut off more than 4 inches of my hair and is VERY uneven. I did not want my hair this short. It doesn’t flow. It is very choppy and looks so short which is not what I wanted. She’s not a bad person just a really bad hair cut and for that reason I will not go back.

Nazila is the best at eyebrows hands down in Boston. She’s both the nicest lady and incredibly talented and I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my eyebrows. She is incredibly fast and thorough and has totally got me hooked. Go see her!

No one asked me write this. I am just so stoked about my hair that I decided to write an honest & unbiased review… You can see the pictures for yourselves.
The first time I got my hair done it was with Kelsey. She has a gift for hospitality made me feel like the salon was my home. Her style is not heavy layers but she kept the length as I requested & does a great a natural balyage styling with curls that stayed in all day long!
I have also booked with Nazila twice since. She is the first stylist Ive had in a while who seriously does EXACTLY WHAT YOU ASK!!! She gave me heavy layers exactly as i asked & I have thin hair but it looked voluptuous & wonderful without needing ANY STYLING!!! People were complimenting my hair WEEKS after I got it done.
For the new year Nazila gave me a natural ombré, & touched up on my layers for which I’ll post pics below. I’m SO HAPPY with it. I asked her to give me a few super short pieces in the back that stick up, & without any excuses or hesitation she said «sure» & did EXACTLY as I asked! This is the first time in ages where I feel like my hair actually matches my personality! Thanks Nazila!

Very happy with this place! Been coming in for months to get lash extensions with Nazila! Shes the best at extensions the glue is superb with good after care it lasts for 3 weeks! No mascara and I always get complimented on them the look natural and enhanced! I recommend people to come and ask for her and I will be coming for months to come I am hooked: D

Nazila is the best stylist ever! I met her a year ago, she is a sweetheart and very professional. She did my highlight and haircut last week, and since then I am getting compliments all the time.
Show her a picture and she does a miracle on your hair. She is trustable and you don’t need to be worried about your hair if she is your stylist.
The best part is that she goes above and beyond! She had recommended me a conditioner for my hair and I am in love with it.
She is absolutely awesome!

Nazila Riahi is my go to person at Acote. I do not trust anyone else with cutting my bangs and hair. Show her a picture, and she will recreate it perfectly. She is a perfectionist you will not be able to go anywhere else once you have her cut your hair!

I have been coming to Acote for about a year and a half now and will not let anyone touch my hair. Kelsey is the best and super sweet. She has cut my hair many times and has done an amazing job with my first balayage (I was super nervous because I have never colored my hair). She even worked with me and my extensions to make sure it all blended and I’m beyond thrilled with the outcome! She did just the right amount of color without making it too drastic. The salon itself is always clean and well managed! Everyone on staff is super friendly and they can make you a cappuccino and have snacks out while you wait. I one hundred percent tell all my friends to go here and anyone looking for a new salon in Boston, this place wins hands down!

RICHARD IS THE BEST. I love my new hair– not only because how good it looks, but also because of the care the person who did it put in it. I was super scared and anxious about changing my hairstyle… And Richard was very understanding and empathetic, and did amazing work.
Worth every extra dollar you pay for the amazing, custom, personalized service you get.

Nazila is the best stylist I have ever been to. I went in to Acote last week looking for a change and she flawlllesssly chopped my hair into a perfect lob and added balayage. It’s been a while since I trusted a stylist but she will definitely be my go-​to from here on out!!!

I came here because I had a good coupon for first time customers. I went in for a cut and color. Nazila did both services– really sweet lady! She did a good job and listened to what I wanted. My only qualms with this place is the pricing — I probably wouldn’t come back again because of the pricing without the coupon. However, it’s also Newbury Street and kind of normal for it to be so expensive.
If you’re looking for a good haircut and don’t mind the price — I would recommend it.

If I could give a 0 star I would!!! I flew in from LA and was in need of a simple blowout and my boyfriend a haircut which he provided multiple pictures. As she started sectioning my hair I could tell it was going to end bad especially because I clearly stated I was a hairstylist myself and wanted to treat myself by not having to do my own hair for this wedding party!!! As she continues to only go over each section about 4 times EVERY hairstylist knows you must go over it an additional 5−6x to ensure it is in fact dry! She was putting wet hair on top of dry hair which again is a NO NO! as I look over to see how my boyfriends hair cut is looking his stylist was cleaning him up as if he was finished I could clearly tell it was not blended and it looked like a two year old cut it!
So I called him over and she follows behind him asking «how did I do?» I blatantly told her it could be blended a lot better and I asked why is there patches?! She responds «oh that wasn’t me it’s the way his hair color is» LOL really because his hair didn’t look like that before he came in nor the last time he got a hair cut!
As the stylist who is blowing my hair wraps up I run my fingers through and what did I come to find IT IS NO WHERE CLOSE TO BEING DRY and she drowns me in hairspray! As soon as I step outside my hair instantly frizzes up!
Needless to say we walked right next door to the next salon to pay more money to get what we asked for!!!

I came in at 9:30 this Monday as a new customer. I thought I was going to have a consult with several stylists then decide who will work with me. The front desk directly assigned Dana to me, it made me nervous cause I haven’t even talked to her yet.
Long story short, Dana was amazing and I’m VERY satisfied with my new look. She is not very talkative but very straightforward, she gave me two suggestions and proceeded right after. At first I was a bit anxious since we didn’t communicate much, but the result was a lot better than I imagined. Dana was focused, confident, fast and skilled. For the first time, I went home feeling completely comfortable with my new look.
The staffs are very efficient, their online booking system also works very well. They offer coffee and tea while you are there, I will definitely come back again.

I’ve been to this salon three times. Each time I have loved my haircut and color. Each time my appointment has been with Jason. Jason is great. I highly recommend him. He is a master with color and gives a great cut. I have long hair and he cuts my hair in layers that really look good. I’ve had other stylists that have not done half as good as job as Jason has done. I’m definitely going back.

After searching the internet for a new salon, I came across Acote and decided to check it out.
The first thing that caught my attention was the ability to book an appointment online at anytime. I have come across many salons that take days to return your phone calls however Acote was clearly not one of them and I was able to get an appointment the next day.
I jumped on the commuter rail the day after I booked online and walked about 6 minutes from Back Bay station to get there. The salon was clearly marked and easy to find. I was greeted with smiles and offered a cappuccino (which I denied at first because I am a tad shy) but later was offered one again and had to accept it. It was the best Cappuccino I have ever had, and had to drink another one before I left!
Because I was a new client, the stylists were to decide who was to do my hair. I wanted a full foil and was indecisive on getting a haircut (attached to my long hair) but went for it anyway because Nazila, my new found favorite stylist, made me feel comfortable enough to cut it.
Which gets me to explain to you how wonderful Nazila actually is! I had a lot of questions and Nazila answered every one of them clearly and confidently that she knew what I was going for. You could tell she knew what she was doing and I was better off just letting her take control! I have always had light brown hair but wanted to go golden blonde and showed her pictures of what I wanted. She NAILED it. I could not be happier with her ability to listen to what I wanted and surpass my hopes of how it would come out. I am ecstatic about the color and even happier with letting go of my long hair for a stylish shoulder length that frames my face.
Acote Salon is great and absolutely worth the price. Plus it was fun to take a little field trip into Boston with my high expectations met from the salon and Nazila herself! Thank you for thoroughly impressing me, I will be back!

Nazila is so sweet and did an amazing job! I’ve lived in Boston for the last two years and Nazila is the first and only hair stylist I have liked. I hadn’t gotten my hair cut in close to 6 months and had a lot of dead ends that needed to go. She listened to what I wanted and brought my hair back to life! To make me feel special, she went the extra step and blew out and curled my hair afterwards! I had such a wonderful experience with for a great price and couldn’t be happier with my hair! I am from California and recently moved to Boston to attend college. Back home, I received terrible highlights that grew out even worse. After looking at a bunch of different salons all over Boston I finally found Acote Salon. I called them and they set up an appointment for me with Dana to dye my hair back to my natural color.
I can not even begin to describe how awesome Dana is. I had only highlighted my hair before (never dyed) and she was extremely informative, helpful, and explained the whole process to me. She even answered my most ridiculous questions. I have already recommended all of my friends to her because she did such a phenomenal job matching my natural color. I can truly say I have never been happier with my hair.
As for the salon, all of the stylist were extremely friendly and the salon itself had a gorgeous view of Newbury Street. The complimentary pastries and coffee was also incredible. There is no question, I will definitely be back again.

I’ve been a loyal customer for around 8 years now, and even through a move to NYC and now Providence, I STILL will not stray. Every interaction with stylists and staff at Acote is pleasant. I’m always offered tea/​coffee/​wine even if I’m there to accompany a client and not getting a service done (which I can’t say about other salons in the area; I’m always ignored if I’m not paying). I also think they do a great job maintaining relationships with the regulars — I can think of several occasions I called during busy days asking for an appointment on short notice, and they can make it work 99% of the time. (Also helps to have your stylist’s phone number…)
As for stylists, I primarily go to Miriam (great with color, curly hair, updos/​bridal). Mihal is amazing for cuts and especially men’s and was my stylist for a while when Miriam was out. Melissa gave my boyfriend’s sister awesome highlights and is good at listening to what you want but also suggesting what could work. And Danielle does gorgeous hair as well.
I’ve referred easily over 15 people to this salon over the years, many of whom have become regulars. It’s pricey but honestly on the lower to mid range compared to other Newbury salons, and the vibe is just so relaxing and they take good care of you. Highly recommended!
