I probably shouldn’t have tried BBQ at a Boston tourist trap, but I did. And I wasn’t impressed. I asked what was best and was directed to the brisket, which was very fatty and not very tasty. The salad was nice, but I expect better.

Due to «Half Off at the Hall»(on-going thru the end of March), I got to try Aris BBQ’s pulled chicken sandwich and fries(normally $ 8.50) for $ 4.82. Service was nice — I was made to feel appreciated for choosing their business. The food could be improved upon. A generous portion of shredded chicken meat was served on my open untoasted bulky roll. The chicken was okay, but the steak fries ranged from warm to just barely warm despite having been kept under a heat lamp. The smaller pieces were sometimes crisp, but the larger were on the soft side.

The food was mediocre but I had been in the mood for a burger. The burger was alright but by the time I got home I was feeling pretty crappy from it. The place gave me food poisoning. Never going back and never recommending this place to anyone else that I know. Avoid this place!

As noted by the other reviewers — this place is disappointing. I was really in the mood for some good kebab. But what I got was a dry and way over-priced skewer of chicken and bacon. Though, they did give quite a healthy portion of fresh, NOT buttered-down broccoli. But even that was unjustly expensive. With the multitude of food options in Faneuil Hall, I’d recommend you walk on past this place.

This place really is pretty bad, and I don’t often rate anything with one star, but geez… My girlfriend and I were wandering around Quincy Market and saw that these guys had bacon-wrapped chicken, which sounded pretty good, so we shelled out what I believe was $ 8-$ 9 for the meal. I was regretting it the second I saw the food. Both the chicken and bacon looked like they had been sitting around for hours(the mass-presence of heat lamps confirmed this), and the fries were cold, limp, and tasteless, as was everything else. No flavor, sub-par service, avoid this place at all costs.

On Thursday, February 8, 2012, I was in Quincy Market with my cousin’s 3 year old. He wanted a cheeseburger, and this was the first place I saw w/burgers. $ 15.47 for 1 cheeseburger with fries; 1 cheeseburger w/bacon, oinions & lettuce; and a small Pepsi. So I don’t get the single«$» in the price category. I thought that was steep. Both burgers were wafer thin and over done. The bacon was old and hard, the onions were dry and old. The fries were limp and room temp. If I weren’t with a 3 year old I would have gone back and dumped it on their counter. AVOIDTHISPLACE!

Aris is one of my favorite places for a burger in the greater Boston area. It’s hectic and somewhat difficult to navigate through Quincy Market at anything approaching peak hours, but it’s worth it. The burgers are cooked differently from most joints in the area(slightly charred on the outside), and so it’s a good alternative. And considering you’re in Quincy Market, the prices are absolutely sufficient. Grabbing a half pound Onion Burger and eating outside in the summer is one of my favorite Boston pastimes.

The burger I had here was just mediocre. I was craving a burger, so I decided to hit this place up on the way home from work. I ordered the Onion & Onions ½ lb. burger. It came on a sesame bun, with grilled onions and onion rings on it. The burger patty itself was pretty large, very large and circular, it fit the bun well. The taste was just okay, not dry but at the same time not outstanding in anyway. the onions and rings were a nice touch, but its a tourist café type of place, so you shouldn’t expect much. I’m just not really sure how the burger was cooked, it was had some charcoal on it but I didn’t see any grilling going on. It was $ 6 for the burger, which is fine since it’s not mcDs and its certainly not a dinner burger.

Terrible. I went to Quincy Market on a trip to Boston and with all the selections I was in the mood for BBQ. I ordered the grilled chicken with fries which literally was a dry piece of chicken thrown on top of some mediocre fries. When I asked for a sandwich they put a bun on top of it. The staff was also rude — more interested in having fun with each other — I asked for ketchup, napkins and got those tossed at me in addition to my change. For the first time I can recall I threw out my lunch and went somewhere else. Avoid this place
