I read the reviews online about this place and despite some of the negative comments, I decided to come here anyway to meet up with my date. Once we got our drinks we were pretty much left alone for 1 ½ hours. We had to flag someone down to get the check. The waitress checked on us once to see if we were getting food and once we told her we were just ordering drinks she basically left us. It was fine because we just wanted one drink and to be left alone to chat with one another but the service here really is as bad as the comments say it is. It’s a nice lounge in a nice hotel but if you’re going to dine there, I would save your money and go elsewhere. The menu is also overpriced for what they served.

Because it’s a hotel bar and not really«open» to the masses, in a sense, from the few times I’ve been here, the bar has never been too crowded. Whenever someone I know wants to grab a drink to talk, I recommend Bar 10 because, as I mentioned, it isn’t crowded, isn’t too loud, and finding a seat/table is almost always possible. Drinks are also good(pending what you get of course) and the servers are pretty attentive. I’ll have to try their food sometime so I have a full perspective on the place.

15 minutes is my limit to wait for a server or bartender to acknowledge you when they aren’t even busy.

This place is absolutely terrible. I am currently at a table. Been sitting here for 2 ½ hours. Waiter came to take our drinks without asking if we wanted another. Two girls walked out on their bill and staff spent 15 minutes looking for them. The waiter was then so distracted that he took the menus away without us ordering anything. People are raising their hand in order to get service… worst service I have ever had.

2 stars for the food. Clam chowder was terrible and the clan meat was very chewy. Tried the caramel tort and it was also disappointed. The carb cake appetizer was at least good so will move to 3 stars. Fix the chowda!

Wow — disappointing — total tourist trap. You would be much better going anywhere else — hello south end! I’ve been coming here for 15 years — but I can’t recommend it anymore. The drinks are 30% more expensive than the rest of Boston and the rather expensive lobster roll was absolutely pathetic. The staff are very nice but that can’t make up for the very high prices and low quality.

Great for a relaxing drink after a hard day at work or tourig the city! As it’s within the Westin Copley hotel you can even get spg points as a hotel guest.

Solid neighborhood staple. Can get busy at dinner time, so plan ahead. Recently went through some major changes, taking some steps towards a higher end gastro pub. A new chef took over and brought all new food and drink menus to the table. Everything is scratch made with high quality fresh ingredients, and the food reflects that attention.

Located in the Lobby of the Westin Copley Place(The Hotel I was staying at) is Bar 10, a place that’s part Bar and part Ultralounge. A place where you can watch some Football and enjoy a good Drink. I decided to have my Late Night Bite here cuz I didn’t want to walk anywhere and it was just 14 Floors below my room. While I was deciding on what to get, I got myself a Cocktail called Chamomile Collins(Absolute Vodka, Club Soda, Chamomile Simple Syrup and Lemon, it was a very relaxing Drink). Not a lot of things on the Menu interested me(I want food that’s interesting, Intriguing and that Excites me), but one thing that I found that I wanted to try was the Poutine(a Canadian Snack/Junk Food consisting of French Fries, Fresh Cheese Curds and lots of Gravy). While I was waiting for the dish to come out I kept thinking of a Pile of Fries with Big Square Chunks of Cheese completely drowned in a moat of Gravy, I was wrong. It came out(perfect sized portion) with a Beef Demi-Glacé and an Aged Sharp Cheddar Cheese Sauce(every single Fry was coated perfectly with both of these Sauces). Perfectly crisp Fries with this beefy flavor from the Demi-Glacé and this sharp Cheddar Taste. One way of Poutine it was that it was so damn Good. I was also talking with this Husband/Wife Couple who flew in from San Diego, They kept me company the whole time, engaging in a Friendly conversation. I finished up by ordering a Crème Brulee(I just got something simple and what could be more simple than Sweet, Rich, Creamy custard topped with a Sugary Crust). I loved the food and the Atmosphere, its also a nice place to get a Beer. Next time I’ll order twice the Amount of Poutine.

Food and drinks were good, but priced on the high side for the quality and quantity… One of my colleagues ordered the same burger I did for dinner; hers arrived with crispy onions, mine did not. I ordered my burger bloody and it was pink, but not juicy. Service was slow. The waitress was civil, but not enthusiastic. Details like that keep Bar 10 from delivering a stand-out dining experience. The seasonal Manhattan was nicely done. I would return for drinks, but probably not dine here again.

I have been at least 5 times in the last few years, always a good experience. I recently went with a friend on Sunday afternoon for lunch and have a couple drinks. Walking in around noon: Pretty much empty but sat at the bar to talk and watch some tv. I ordered Makers Mark on the rocks and my friend ordered Kettle One gimlet up, both at about $ 12. Nice atmosphere and a fun, friendly bartender but not annoying at all. The bar is very clean and the burgers were rated top 20 by The Boston Globe in Boston. Right up there w/the Bristol Lounge {Four Seasons Hotel}. Time to eat… Menu: The menu is pretty simple with burgers, salads, fried calamari, lobster rolls ect. I ordered the Crab BLT {$ 18} & she ordered the Bar 10 burger {$ 16} pictures included by me. The crab was real good and fresh however for 18 bucks it needed a bit more crabmeat in there. The fries were perfect as usual and my friends burger was perfectly cooked at «medium» so she was beyond happy. At the end with 2 drinks a piece and two sandwiches it was $ 88. plus my $ 20 tip, not bad for a few hours of nice A. C from the heat, a restaurant/bar all to ourselves and a few laughs. I will go again… The bathrooms are very nice and clean, music isn’t loud at all and 2 big flat screen TV’s on either side of the bar. Try it, I think you will like it there! The Mötley Cook

I realize it was Marathon Monday but so should they and perhaps staff more than one person behind the bar. I asked the manager who was floating around if they might want to have another person or two jump behind the bar because it was so busy and she sneered at me and replied«I have two people working the front bar and two people working the back.» To which I replied«There only appears to be one person working at the back bar(true) and that maybe even one ADDITIONAL person was warranted even beyond the two that were supposedly working.» She ignored me and I went back to waiting 20 minutes to order beers for my friends and I. There was an even longer wait when I went to the back bar later. Get your act together, Bar 10.

I came here for after dinner drinks and will return. Nice atmosphere and the bartender made an awesome white Russian. Prices are a bit much, but it is the Back Bay. Their food smelled really good so I look forward to trying that.

What I love about Bar 10 is their early morning breakfast that is served in the back room called the Huntington. I always come here first thing whenever I need to have a quiet time to myself before I devote my hours to studying next door at the Boston Public library. They have a beautiful view overlooking public gardens, prudential center and Copley square hotel. They serve both buffet and on menu. My meal of choice is raisin bran cereal with mixed berries!

Don’t let the trendy hipness fool you . There’s a real chance you could choke on foreign objects in your soup or die from dehydration. The waitress seemed pleased it wasn’t glass in the soup. Why, is there glass in the soup on certain days? Twenty minutes to obtain a glass of water? really? I was handed TWENTY $ 1 bills as change. Why?3 female NP’s.did I look like I needed ones for an afternoon strip show?

Dinner with a group of 8. — charcuterie — ok. good portion. $ 26 is a bit extreme. — spinach dip and calamari appetizers — chain restaurant style version of both. — burger — ordered the b and b but had cheddar instead of brie. meat was bland but the spice from the red pepper aioli gave it a surprisingly good kick. Group got into town late on a Friday so dining options for such a large group w no reservation were limited. Utilized the 50% off deal that I had. Would not eat here under any other circumstances.

Enjoyed this place when we went here for New Year’s. Not overcrowded and a plus no cover. Drinks are hotel bar prices but they definitely had a heavy hand! They had a dj for the night and a lot of seating which I was impressed with. The bartenders are speedy and there is a huge mix and age range(hence it’s a hotel bar). I think this is a great place to grab an after dinner drink or start the night.

This bar is sort of hidden in the Westin at Copley. I only realized it was there when I was searching for Fogo de Chao. My friend and I were looking for a place we could have some drinks and hang out and bar 10 was the perfect spot. Nice couches and chairs to sit at and overall the noise level is pretty low. The only thing was that yes it is pricey. My friend and I were surprised at the end when we got our bill. Ooops! Our cocktails ran between $ 13-$ 14, but the beers weren’t too bad at $ 6 or $ 7 a pop. We also had the calamari and artichoke dip. Both were very good and nice portions.

Super secret bar… in the middle of the mall! I’ve been Winter walking through Copley mall since 2009, but only happened upon Bar 10, in the Weston Hotel, because they were hosting a charity event there. This tiny tavern is tucked away from mall traffic, hidden around the corner from the hotel lounge. The leather couches are lovely high backs, and the atmosphere is very chill and classy. (I would take my Mistress there on any given night.) THEDEAL: Want some privacy? This is the place!

Located inside the Westin Copley Place, one of the nicest and most sophisticated hotels in the somewhat decent city of Boston, I came here because a friend wanted to get some good drinks with some people. Since this bar is located inside a hotel, do not expect the drinks to have any great value, but you should have a lot of money in your hand and you should have the mind of «someone who splurges» rather than someone who tends to be «thrifty». When I walked into this place, I did not feel like I was in Boston. Rather, it felt like I was in a sophisticated bar in either New York City, Toronto, San Francisco, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Shanghai or even in Hong Kong. So this is not a bad choice if you want to go someplace that is sophisticated. However, the clientele that seems to come to this place can be really sophisticated or they can be the«epitomes» of the«typical Americans.» So you may find a fairly diverse range of people. Beers are going to be fairly expensive since this place is inside a sophisticated hotel. Be prepared to spend at least $ 7 for a Heineken or a Stella Artois. I liked how when they served the Heineken, they also provided a nice and cold glass so you could pour your bottle of beer. As for cocktails, the ladies in my friend’s party seem to enjoy them. One of the ladies said to me that she like the mojito they have here. On a whim, I decided get a Mai Tai. It was a really juicy and really sweet drink. Did not detect much alcohol content. The cherry they provide on this cocktail is going to be a «fake cherry» so don’t expect any fresh juicy fruits as a garnish for your cocktail unless the fruit is an orange. Cocktails are also going to be fairly expensive. Be prepared to spend at least $ 13 – 14 on a glass. As for food, they serve this tasty pretzel-like snack. It’s really addicting to eat and a great complement to the drinks. Interior is really comfortable, seats are soft, and if you relax yourself a little more, the seats could be comfortable enough to actually fall asleep in after a long day. Music is not too loud, so it does give a little soft ambiance. Service is okay, the people are fairly nice. If you are looking for a server or bartender that’s gorgeous, this is definitely not a good option. Overall, this is not a bad choice to spend a lot of money on some decently good drinks, and need a «tiny sophisticated escape from Boston» though I would not come here for the beer but more for the comfort.
