I went there and ordered an original sized bowl, when i got a burrito i asked to make sure that it was mine because i asked for a bowl, and the lady asked me «ah you want it in a bowl?» The face as if she was sucking on a lemon made me not wanting to have any business with her, and i said that its fine and ill have it that way. To which she responded«BITCH» to a coworker thinking that i wont hear. Well i did.

I love their New England harvest salad. It has a delicious mix of whole warm mushrooms, quinoa, beets, arugula, cranberry, and goat cheese. I usually supplement mine with some steak. Their service is top notch. I had forgotten my wallet once and they gave me the meal for free. Feeling bad, I went home to pick up my wallet and tried to pay but they insisted that it was free. They know how to keep their customers; I’ll be coming here more often!

The food is unique as I had a chicken teriyaki burrito. The taste was excellent and it was very easy to order. I would not go here if you expected authentic mexican food, but the food is an excellent fusion mix.

This was my first my first time getting boloco and although the food was good, I was very confused and was rushed into ordering my burrito. It took me 10 minutes to figure out the menu because I didn’t see the veggies listed and when I went up to look and see which veggies I wanted I was immediately directed to the register to order. I felt rushed so I ordered what I thought they might have(cheese and lettuce and a mild sauce) but didn’t get much of anything else that I would have wanted. I asked if my girlfriend could put her beans in my burrito(she didn’t want any) at no extra charge and they agreed but I think that they were rushing so they forgot the extra beans and they forgot cheese in both burritos because they were almost done making me them before I even finished ordering. Also got a passion fruit mango smoothie which wasn’t as sweet as I would have liked but it was very authentic. On the bright side the chocolate chip cookie was great and so was the steak. If I come here again I’ll have to try to find a menu ahead of time so that I don’t get rushed into ordering something random!

So it’s tasty and quick, not fantastic. Here’s the deal. They have cooked and chopped a bunch of ingredients and purchased(or made, but I go with purchased) several sauces. So depending on the cuisine you choose, they put the right set of ingredients in the wrap with the appropriate sauce and call it a burrito. For example I had Bangkok Thai which included peanut sauce, Asian Slaw, cucumbers, brown rice, and my choice of meat. They carry chicken, pork, steak, tofu, and veggies. Others in my family had teriyaki combo, summer mango salsa, and tikka masala. Though none of this was authentic, it was okay and better than eating cafeteria food on my opinion, directly across from the Children’s Hospital. I do like the option of bowl which means you can skip the wrap and you can create your own.

This Mexican-Asian-American fusion place is all right, but their burritos are definitely far from anything authentic. A lot of their options are like Mexican dishes, but more Americanized. However, there aren’t any places in the Longwood Medical Area to really get Mexican food unless you venture a little further to Brigham Circle(Montecristo) or even further to Landmark Center(El Pelon and Chipotle). The quality of their food is good, but the flavors just don’t really hit to amaze me so I’d give them 2.5 stars overall. If you were to go I’d recommend any Summer burrito(I usually get mine with steak) since I’m a fan of any type of mango salsa. However, if I wanted traditional, authentic Mexican food then this would be the last place I go to get some(from highest to lowest: El Pelon, Anna’s, Chipotle, Qdoba, Boloco). They do also sell fruit smoothies and shakes, which I would say are pretty darn good(I’d give them 3.5−4 stars). So if I were to go here for the food or drinks, I’d probably go with the drinks since I like their fruit smoothies and they are so refreshing and natural compared to other places.

This is definitely a well managed establishment. Our office placed an order for a party event of over 20 attendees. Everyone happened to request uniquely different kinds of burritos. Anna of this Boloco got everything right. In the middle of the hectic lunch period on a Friday, she got each and every lunch packed into individual hand carry bags, right on time. She even kept in mind who had asked that the food be gluten free. Of course, to top it off, the food tasted terrific.

I had the Cajun burrito in a small size. I ate lunch late and so I got the small size which was perfect for not spoiling my dinner. The ladies I ate with both got small bowls and they also agreed it was a good size to avoid the afternoon food coma. The Cajun was very flavorful and had all of the right components. The burrito was rolled nicely which is always appreciated. I tasted the Buffalo bowl and thought it was a little mayo-naisy. I tasted the Bangkok Thai bowl and thought it should be more spicy. I would definitely go again but would probably stick to the more Mexican themed burritos.

The food is okay but barely up to Boloco standard’s. This place has no fountain drinks & very limited space, so have someone hold a seat while you order.

Quick pit stop for some food but need something somewhat healthy. Got the original size burrito bowl which was plenty since I’m trying to cut back. Peanut Asian Bangkok with tofu. Just right and the brown rice wasn’t dry or rock hard and crunchy. I just hate that and have almost given up on them. Berry soy smoothie was a nice dessert. Ok so I’m calling it dessert just to make myself feel better cuz I really want a heavy hitter cheesecake. But really the sweet berries and honey where nice. Quick walk from the hospital, colleges, and schools. There are quite a few tables for 2 so I can see this place filling up fast.

Great staff who are friendly and certainly treat their regulars. While many folks like to opine over the lunch(we all agree on the awesomeness of the buffalo and thai burritos/bowls), I’d like to give a shout out to the breakfast options: They provide robust, hearty meals for not too much cheddar(pun-intended). Seriously, you could spend $ 4 – 5 at Micky D’s or get some serious breakfast here without the transfat coma. The truck stop, chorizo bowl, or egg and cheese bowl will all do a body good — or get them in burritos if you prefer. The bacon is thick-cut and they don’t get shy on the amount of toppings. It’s all made to order so if you want to throw on some avocado, mango or regular salsa — they’d do it for you(I can’t speak to other BoLocos). Try it. You won’t be disappointed. Also, shout out to the Kale salad on the lunch menu. It’s filling and gets better with more options on top.

For a burrito restaurant, Boloco is just OK. There is nothing bad or nothing good to really rave about. However, I do love that they offer the mini-size burrito because I can never finish a normal-sized burrito. I also love that they have burrito bowls. I absolutely love the chicken masala burrito bowl! I don’t recommend their smoothies. Their chips are amazing though! Get it with guac and it’s the perfect snack. I use to come here a lot to use up my cash points for my school. That being said, if I were to spend my actual money here, I wouldn’t. There is a Qdoba further down huntington and a chipotle 15 minutes of a walk away. It is located at a very convenient place. Next to boloco is a Starbucks and then you have the buses and trolley very close by. It’s pretty small compared to the one on Boylston St.

Eek! Sorry boloco but this was the worst dine out experience I’ve ever had. Concept sounds amazing but food lacking any flavour. Ordered a ‘cajun’ burrito which turned out to consist of rice, plain chicken, plain corn(seriously, whatever you’re serving is not a salsa!), approximately 1 tbsp of sour cream(there wasn’t enough to tell if it was creole flavoured or not) and a few black beans. The burrito was about 75% rice and the first 5 bites of my burrito entirely plain rice. The concept sounds great and other people have obviously had great experiences so maybe it depends on who is making your burrito, what you order and how you make your own combinations but my advice is if you do go is don’t ever order a cajun burrito! And maybe ask for less rice so you can actually taste some of the other ingredients.

Not a bad place to go for lunch. Be warned, it’s pretty popular and generally has a long line. 2 fixes: 1) Go at a less hectic time(sometimes I’ll be busy all morning and go at 230, when the wait is close to none) or 2) wait in it anyways! It moves pretty quickly. It’s an $ 8 dollar burrito, fine for lunch. I like the food a good deal, though to be honest I’ve never tried anything besides their burritos. I think it’s a perfect spot for a quick lunch break during a busy day at work, though I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for any other kind of lunch if you just happen to be in the area.

One of the better food options in the Longwood Medical Area. As a result, this place is alway packed with a line out the door during lunch time. Boloco specializes in burritos. It’s not your average taqueria, nor is it very authentic. However, it has a lot of customizable ingredients. There are dozens and dozens of toppings and sauces. This may not be very evident just walking in. Behind the cashiers is a list of standard burritos. Go for the menu with the create your own options. That said, I do enjoy the summer steak burrito(steak does not cost more than chicken here). While the corn salsa is a bit flavorless, the mango salsa is nice and sweet. Fajita veggies can be a free add on to your tofu or meat instead of being the main filler. The roasted squash is very much like sweet potato. Guacamole is extra. They have tabasco products. Another feature here are the smoothies, but I usually just stick to water. Sometimes you have to ask for water cups when they run out. This location is tiny. Not much seating, expect to take your food to go. There is sometimes a guy with an iPad to speed up the only 2 cashiers. Nevertheless, the efficiency of the staff still makes the orders process quickly. I especially like that you can order online from work for pick up(and save something like 10%). There is a rewards program that has been getting slightly stingier, but plenty of promotions keep me happy. Overall, not the best burrito, but still makes me happy.

It’s in a prime location right across the street from Children’s Hospital and next to the HMS dorms. I stopped in to grab a salad bowl for my trip back from reunion, and was very happy to find that they had roasted butternut squash, quinoa, roasted button mushrooms, and steamed broccoli(usually it’s raw and I am not a fan of raw broccoli) as some topping options, in addition to your typical picks. My large bowl was a very generous portion and they certainly filled it with toppings. It came to a little over $ 8, which is quite reasonable. Also be sure to try the baked tofu!

Boloco is such a great place, with inspired burritos. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality. Most recently, I visited for a special $ 2 small Nutella milkshake. The woman who took my order was very friendly, and my shake was ready very quickly. Stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s good for doctors, patients, students, teachers… who ever happens to work or live in the area!

Good heavens I love this place. All of these random 1 star reviews trashing the place, from people who have 3 reviews, ignore them… they’re miserable people who are using the local hospitals, and because their friend/kid/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/hookup friend is sick/in surgery/miserable/in rehab, they’re going to take out their negative opinions on the ONLYHEALTHY food option in the area. I live in Fenway, and this is a great place to stop over and park the dog outside(I never let him out of my sight, PEOPLESTEALDOGS because they are evil) and grab some din din. Came last night. As always, a healthy, vegan and vegetarian-friendly quick-service restaurant. For the vegans out there, you know how impossible rare this is.
