I’ve been working with Brian for about 6 months specifically on food photography. I had been working with a handful of different photographers before I met Brian, and since then I have stuck with him every time. He’s an amazing photographer, so responsive & communicative, and such a great guy that it’s really hard for me to imagine working with anyone else. His photos are incredible — I’ve seen him transform some(iffy-looking) dishes into beautiful works of art. He takes the time to understand what your goals are with the photography and totally delivers on everything. He brings a lot of his own props(making the client’s job super easy, which is always fantastic) and has an amazing eye for everything. Plus, he’s just a really great guy and so fun to work with. I really can’t speak highly enough about him, and look forward to many more shoots!

I am a huge fan of Brian’s blog, A Thought For Food — there’s movement in every photo entry, whether it be eggs beating, molasses dripping, steam lifting from a bunch of boiling Brussels sprouts; and like the blog’s name, each post is thoughtful, inviting — a lovely rumination on the art of eating well. So as Brian has started venturing into family portraits and wedding photography, it’s no surprise that he captures such warm and authentic moments — with people this time — as his subjects. I had the pleasure of being photographed by Brian when I needed a professional head shot for the Improper Bostonian magazine, and my session with him went like this: he found just the right backdrops(and lighting) to shoot against; he made me feel entirely at ease; and he sent half a dozen edited photos over e-mail to me the very night of that shoot, since I needed a photo quickly. Such a pleasure to work with, such an awesome talent. You would be wise to invite him to capture your special day.

We hired Brian to shoot our engagement photos, and couldn’t be happier. Brian was very responsive when we initially contacted him to figure out the date and time details. Day of, he was professional and easy to work with. He made suggestions for how to ‘pose’ and to ‘act natural’ — which was helpful since neither of us has taken professional pictures since school. And then we got our pictures in digital format quickly after the shoot(a few days — both hi res for printing and lo res for posting online). The best part — the pictures were great! We’ve gotten so many compliments on them.

Brian was the ultimate professional, both in the time leading up to our wedding and on the wedding day itself. He met with us in person a few months beforehand to discuss which pictures we’d like to take and to get a better understanding about the ceremony and reception venues, as well as the feel of our event. When Brian arrived early the day-of, he jumped right in and just started snapping away. He worked without interfering with the moment and kept us all at ease throughout the day. And, as icing on the wedding cake, Brian processed our photos quickly and had them ready for us in record time. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you, Brian, for helping us capture our special day!

We met Brian in Boston for a photo shoot of my family and he did a great job. He was very personable and did a great job with my two young daughters were aren’t the most cooperative kids. Brian’s photography is a great way to capture those precious moment and have them last a lifetime.
