It’s a good thing I don’t live in the the South End, or I would have gained 100 lbs bein near this place… when I was a kid, I would look forward to the times, that we would visit my aunt, because she made the best eggplant parmesan. my aunt moved to Las Vegas when I was a teen, and so did her food… growing up(and now heading into middle age), I have always tried to find an eggplant parm that came close to hers… but I gave up long ago, but once in awhile when I come across a new place, I take a chance, and am always left disappointed . until 4 months ago, while killing some time between Dr appts. I came upon this fantastic place. Mama MIA,…excellent.I was there today, and added a piece of ricotta pie, and it did not disappoint .most of them these days are too dry or too sweet… this was moist, and just the right flavor. and the portions are really great for the money. I always have half left over for later. my only complaint is that there is no parking, as I would come here more often. I have eaten inside too, and its nice and bright, and so are the employees .very good vibe. thank you Café Quattro

My friend turned me on to this place that used to be right near Suffolk and moved to the South End. Pizza was hand-made right in front of us and was amazing, the garlic parm French fries are perfection. I’ll definitely be making some trips back into Boston for this again

I just had the most confusing and ridiculous experience at this establishment. I walked in to get just a plain cup of coffee, and while browsing, decided to also get a cannoli. I asked the cashier for a small coffee. He asks how would I like it; I thought maybe he spoons in the sugar as Grille 705 does. So, I ask how many do you usually put in a small? He then says… well usually, I don’t put any in. So, I’m like… okay. What do you mean then by how do I want my coffee? He then points to a regular brew of coffee in your regular coffee pot and then to an espresso machine. Another guy approaches and says, do you want coffee or espresso? I could have sworn I just asked for REGULARCOFFEE. The second guy then says to me, it’s not like we spook the sugar in, we’re not Dunkin Donuts. At THAT point, I was FEDUP and just told them to just give me the cannoli. Which wasn’t even that good. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a regular cup of coffee.

For $ 3 the Arancini is big but not great. Not crispy outside and gloppy inside with bland cheese filling. The sauce was good and fresh though. Chicken parm over ziti was excellent though! Huge order — more than enough for two meals. Perfectly cooked ziti with ricotta and cheese and excellent sauce, and a couple of perfectly cooked breaded chicken breasts. Did in mention a huge portion it was for $ 8? The staff is friendly welcoming and made conversation after asking if I liked my food. This goes a long way l

3 stars. Middle of the road. Came in around 4:30 the other day for pizza. Pizza was luke warm, old, and so greasy. Like. My bag was soaked with grease before I got home. I liked the large portions. The bottled soda I got was good. Haha. The place looks nice and clean. Pizza boy was just«ok” — not the friendliest person. I’m assuming everyone was tired and cold and ready to go home. I’ll try it again– but not until I’m desperate for cold pizza.

Really great place! Have walked by several times going to Blunch, and ended up here for a quick dinner one night. The salads are great, I recommend the one with pear in it. The pizzas were excellent as well, and the service was terrific. Will be back to try to the chicken parm grinder for sure.

Place is great, reasonable prices great sandwiches and pizza. This the number one spot around here for sandwich and pizza compared to Andres who only sells burgers and wraps or pizza stop which is last resort because they are opened late. I go here pretty much one or twice a week. Hopefully some other gourmet toppings on the slices!!! Either way keep up the great work.

I work at BMC and I am glad that this place opened. When you only have thirty minutes to take a lunch your options are limited, especially if you don’t want delivery. The food quality is much better than other places in walking distance and the prices may even be better. I always get enough food for the price I pay and it always tastes good. During the 12 – 1 lunch rush orders are handled efficiently. I don’t think I can go without their pizza by the slice. The chicken parm is excellent. I haven’t ordered something I don’t like yet.

This place used to be my to go kitchen when I had to camp at Suffolk Library. Their pizzas are delicious and cheap. They have many variety of pizza and sub. It’s very popular among Suffolk Students. Now! That I am writing a review about this café, I really miss my college life.

If Joey Tribbiani’s terrible spin-off had been set in Boston instead of wherever it was, there would be an episode about him coming to this place and never leaving until he can’t leave because he gained 500 pounds and can no longer fit through the door. I had never heard of an eggplant(or chicken, for that matter) parm sandwich before and thought, «well, that sounds like an unnecessary addition of bread to an already calorie-laden food» but then thought, «what the heck» and I ordered the eggplant parm sub for $ 7. I was prepared to think this was slightly pricey until a guy brought it out to me and Holy Lord was that an enormous sandwich. As tall as my head and nearly as wide. So big. I warned the guy, «I will probably get a bag for half of this,» before starting to eat. I will never scoff at the idea of something-parm on bread again. This was delicious. The bread was warm and soft with a great crust, the eggplant was tender and perfectly seasoned, the cheese added just the right amount of saltiness, and the sauce. Oh my goodness, the sauce. Perfectly sweet and tangy and next time I come here I may just order sauce. As I finished the first half of my sandwich I thought, «this is delicious, and part of the deliciousness lies within the freshness, ergo the second half of this sandwich will not be as delicious if I reheat it in the microwave after it’s been in the fridge for six hours, ergo I must eat the whole darn sandwich.» I don’t want to think about how many calories that was, but as the kids say, #noregrets. Realizing I told the guy I would need to wrap the second half, I tried to sneak out of there, but the guy who took my order remembered my name and told me to have a nice day. Hooray for him remembering and using my name(that gets customer service bonus points) though I wonder if he thought, «wow…she ate that entire sandwich…» If I may suggest offering the option to order a half sandwich, that would be great! The ambiance was nice. The restaurant was very clean and they had oldies(50s-60s doo-wop and such) playing on the radio. I thought it was very appropriate for an Italian deli-esque place. So this was an amazing experience, but why only four stars? Here’s why: –Anyplace that serves Pepsi instead of Coke is committing a cardinal sin, in my opinion(although maybe they had a team of expert sommaliers determine that the food tastes better with Pepsi…). –The Pepsi was from a cooler but it was somewhat room-temperature(perhaps a FIFO error?). –The sandwich came with a pickle, but the pickle didn’t seem like it was done being a cucumber yet. –My order took a long time, considering the place wasn’t busy, but maybe that’s just how long it takes to make a delicious sub. I wasn’t in a hurry, though, so I’ll let this one slide.

Went here with a friend to grab a bite to eat since it was right around the corner from his place. We ordered at the counter and easily found a seat since the place was pretty empty. We went with an order of their italian sausage pizza and some meatballs a la carte. The pizza was actually pretty tasty – the sausage on it was flavored really well and the crust was very soft and not too thick. However, the meatballs were pretty bland and lacked any real flavor – even with the help of the marinara sauce. From what I understand, this place is still pretty new so I am sure they are still working out all the kinks. Nevertheless, the service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly.

Great, comfort Italian food served quickly every time. This is my third or fourth time here since moving to the South End for school. Everything is great, comes out hot, fresh, and quickly. The prices are great and the portions are huge. The guys up front are really nice. I’d definitely give them a try.

I work at BMC and heard about this new place opening. My co-worker and I decided to try it out. First impression walking in, it was bright, clean and everyone had a smile on their face. I ordered the pear/arugula salad and an arancini ball and my friend got the prosciutto panini. Sadly we were disappointed. So my salad, you can’t really screw that up, though there was WAY too much blue cheese on top. The arancini ball, it was dry and the marinara/red sauce that came with it was very, very bland. I had my concerns that the arancini balls might be dry only because at the counter they were in the glass warming container where the cooked pizzas were kept. But I thought I would give them a try anyway because I love arancini balls. Not only were they dry but they had no taste to them, could have used some salt and pepper for sure. I thought the dipping sauce would help but it was really watery and just bland, bland, bland. My friend didn’t fair well with her panini either. My friend loves prosciutto but the panini was really oily/greasy. It could have been better if perhaps they had blotted the sandwich just a bit to get off some of that excess. Overall wont be returning to this place. Ok, maybe I’ll try a thin crust pizza but definitely not the arancini balls or a panini. As always never take my word for it and give it a try yourself.

Have been here a couple times since they opened and they’re definitely going through some growing pains, but I think overall, it’s a decent little spot. First time I went, we ordered the gennaro pizza and it was OK, but nothing spectacular. Was a bit on the softer side for my liking and the toppings didn’t seem like the freshest bit of produce the world has ever seen, but I don’t think the pizza was bad by any means. I personally felt it was a bit underdone, especially given that it was a thin crust pizza with no crisp, but my friends didn’t feel similarly so to each his own. Definitely appreciated the fact that it was made to order though. The 2nd time I went was during lunch when I ordered the Americano sandwich. I actually found the sandwich really good. The bread was crispy but not overly done, good amount of cheese, there was a good mix of sweet and spicy from the peppers. The problem is though that when you’re a THE new restaurant right next to a hospital, you should expect that a lot of people are going to be coming by to try your food. Having(what appeared to be) only 1 guy focused on making sandwiches meant even after ordering, my sandwich took around 30 minutes to be ready. I just think they weren’t prepared for a reasonably predictable lunch rush and that was really frustrating. But again, the food was good so in the end, that’s what counts. Hopefully everything will take care of itself.

I am so glad to see this place open again. It used to be located over on beacon hill. This place has fed me on many nights while at Suffolk. It is now located right accross the street Boston Medical Center. I ordered a quick slice of the rotating daily pizza special. The slices are big, almost a quarter of a pizza. Just as good as I remembered. The slice I ordered had quality chorizo on it and it hit the spot. It looks like you can order food to go or there it a cute little area where you can sit to have a casual bite. I am excited to see the menu has expanded to include quite a few pasta dishes. I will be back to try them.
