Ok this place will ALWAYS be a Boston classic! HOWEVER! Charging 10 dollars per person even for parents who are UNABLETOSKATE(foot injury) is crazy! I paid for four skaters! I understand that the community must help the business stay alive i get it but over charging your customers isnt the way to do it! No matter what this place still got the juice with me hence the 4 stars!

I really enjoyed this place, came with a group of girlfriends and used a Groupon so it came down to $ 5 a piece. I didn’t use all of the 5 admissions tickets, but what’s awesome is that I can come in another day and use the one admission I have left over. If you don’t know how to skate all that well, you’re better off going in the early evening since there’s a lot of kids so you won’t be as embarrassed about your novice skills(or lack thereof). Also, beware of the lockers! If you stick something in one of the lockers don’t take anything out until the last minute because then it won’t let you lock it a second time and you’ll have to pay again. Second tip: if you don’t feel like buying a glow stick once they turn the lights off just wait about 15 minutes. They will eventually turn the lights on and you’ll be able to skate again.

Went there today after not being on skates for almost twenty years. This place is Amazing! It is on a small side street beside the police station so very easy to find. The floor is totally old school wood and is a dream to skate on. It’s as flat as glass after all these years. The first impression that I had after walking in was the people that work there are about as friendly as can be. They go out of their way to say hello and are a joy to be around. It took all of a minute for me to feel like I was among friends even though I didn’t know a soul there. They do a great job with the kids and are always looking out for the little ones to make sure they are having fun. I highly recommend that you go check this place out. They have many different times to skate for different age groups. I was told that the Sunday night adult skate is a blast, and I plan on checking it out soon.

This may or may not be the only indoor roller skating rink in Boston, but it is hands down the best! I’ve gone with friends who might as well be pro skaters to those who have never put on a pair in their lives and everyone always wants to go back. And the staff there is amazing. Vinny, Sean, and Tyla were so accomodating and hooked our large party up after a little misunderstanding we had about the skate hours. I will definitely keep coming back and I’m adding more and more friends to the list of regular visitors as time goes on.

Chez vous is the place to be to kick back and enjoy some good music and skate your ass off. I was there last sunday and had a great time meeting new people enjoying good food. Jonathan best was very helpful and made me feel comfortable

So fun, we went on a Saturday night — it wasn’t very crowded and there was a lot of space to skate around. Everyone working there was really nice, especially when we had trouble using a voucher at first. It was a really fun workout too– I can already feel how sore my legs are going to be tomorrow!

Love this place! A little hard to find and unassuming from outside but it’s a great place to go, especially on adult or disco nights when you won’t get run over by teenagers zipping around ;) The wood floor is in good condition. Good music. Friendly crowd(and nice range of ages). Not a huge fan of the pillars in the rink(they bound off the center part) but they appear structural and you get used to them. The folks who run the place are always friendly and even give out free cold water to drink if you can pull yourself off the rink! Definitely worth going if you live in the area!

I was at a birthday party at Chez Vous on Sunday May 3rd. We paid $ 5 to enter but they do not tell you that if you leave to go to your car and come back in you have to pay that fee again. Staff got upset with me when I began informing our guest about the re-entry policy at the door. They have a bouncy house in the middle of the skating rink they charge $ 3 to jump. The bouncy clearly had a hole in it we could feel the air coming out. I questioned the safety of it and was told its ok. The bouncy collapsed on the kids and they didn’t want to take it down. Food– pizza was ok. Chicken wings are very pricey, you will pay $ 40 for a 20 piece wings(that’s just chicken). So I wouldn’t recommend this place for a party. Its fine if you just taking your kids to skate but not worth the $ 350 party package,

Fun place to go skating! The floor is very sticky, so if you have the option, bring your slipperiest wheels. Great ambience, everyone is having a good time.

Chez Vous is love. I’m not a pro skater but I always enjoy myself and the music is awesome. It’s inexpensive, lots of fun, and a kicka$$ workout. Definitely a classic roller rink… And it’s fun to people-watch and be jealous of all the crazy good skaters.

My daughter went to a Bday party there today It was under 12 skating. So impressed with everything! The place is spotless, the people who work there could not have been nicer to us. The pizza was great. The other patrons were so nice, the other birthday party even share their cupcakes with us!!! Now I just wish I could skate.

This place needs renovation, more lighting(dim and hazardous) and a deep cleaning. Bathroom is filthy, carpets are permanently stained and smell odd. I was tempted to toss my socks after a bit of skating. The extra star is for the enthusiastic boy working there. He does it all: hands out skates, interacts with customers, skates around and helps children as they fall and dangle on the sidelines.

My daughter got hurt at Chez Vous a while ago. They offer no insurance coverage. So if anyone gets hurt there, you’re not covered. They never showed up in court so we won our case. However, we never received a dime because they are constantly changing their name. In my opinion this is a shady institution.

Don’t buy into the bad reviews chez Vous is the bomb! Where else is there a rink anyway? And this one is old school in all the best ways possible-they make and serve fried chicken at the snack bar! Go and have fun!

Visited Chez Vous for the first time last night — I was totally impressed! It’s an old, old roller rink — nothing fancy, but man we had fun! The people who work there clearly love the place. Everyone was super friendly and helpful despite how jam packed it was(family night, school vacation, you get the idea). The rink itself is a nice size and the music was fitting. The kids here know how to skate, so be aware that they will fly past you, and it can get tight at times. Still, once you get into the groove, it’s awesome. Side note: I didn’t see a single metal detector or witness any pat downs as previous reviews state… maybe that’s a teen night or weekend thing?

Great, family-friendly venue with a kind and helpful staff. I went to a Tuesday Cheap Skate, and Richard happily calibrated my new skates. It was my first time skating in around 7 years. Fellow skaters were friendly and inviting. I’ll definitely be going back. You couldn’t ask much more for $ 3! My only caveat: What’s with the music during the family skate? Songs like«Rack City» seemed uncomfortable as elementary school aged kids hobbled around.

Grew up living in Mattapan so Sunday afternoons at ChezVous was the regular weekly tween /teen spot. Walking in I felt the almost exactly as I did in the mid to late 90’s… the music was pumping, the sound of skates on the floor, the dimly lit reception area, there used to be a wall seperating the food area from the rink but no matter it was a blast. It was even better teaching my 4 yr old to skate their. It was almost like a right if passage… must come back to relive more memories!!!

I LOVE this place. Everyone’s really nice and it’s super cheap. They only have regular roller skates there, which are MUCH more difficult, but it’s always fun to try something new. I’ll say again that the people here are AWESOME and this place is unbelievably fun. I had such a great time tonight.

Sweetie and I went to Valentine Slow Jam adult skate night at Chez Vous and it was pretty darn awesome. It was $ 10 per Valentine Couple or per single, so we lucked out on that count. The music was awesome and there were tons of neighborhood regulars roller-disco-dancing to the quality tunes. It was pretty impressive. As the night wore on, younger(faster) folks started showing up, but as it was 18+, there were no kamikaze knee-highs to trip over or be accidentally clothes-lined by. I fell once, banana peel on the sidewalk style, which has left me a little sore in the rear today… but a bunch of people stopped to help me up and to make sure that I hadn’t tripped over anything(like a stray piece of gravel) so that no one else would meet the same fate. I had rental skates which were a wee bit rough on my feet(no padding left) but they were still rolling along just fine. Overall, the experience has left me hankering for more… and wanting to get a pair of skates to practice my moves in private before going back.

After last night Chez Vous goes up to a full 5 stars! A fellow Unilocaler wrote, «The floor is the worst I have ever skated on, completely unmaintained(wavy, dips…» This is completely inaccurate, the last time I was at Chez Vous the floor felt a bit bumpy, and unmaintained but I realized that was because I was in rental skates. Remember that a skating experience anywhere changes greatly when it comes to rental skates versus your own. Up until a few weeks ago I was using rentals then I got my own pair of Riedell’s. There is a huge world of difference! Chez Vous has one of the smoothest floors around!

i had to leave my sawed off shotgun at home, which was just an absafruit shame, because everyone knows that a little gunplay makes rollerskating more exciting. suuure suuuuuuure, you can rollerskate backwards whilst jiggling your buttcheeks and waving a glowstick around to the beat of beyonce, but can you do it while i shoot at you? we may never know, because at chez vous– there’s a metal detector. my sister, husband, little brother and i went and had a fantastic time here! it was only three dollars a person and the rink was filled with rambunctious, laughing kids, all whizzing around the rink wearing glowsticks and rocking some booty to lil’ wayne. WIN. so i’m thrilled to discover yet another money-conscious business, offering opportunities to families to go somewhere together at an affordable cost! chez vous might look a little rough, but who cares? gather your pocket change, channel some 90’s, unwad your panties and get out there for some glowstick roller fun!
