Copley Inn

Lovely staff, very kind and helpful.
Our room had no microwave, just pans and toaster oven and stove. The other larger rom could not pick up the wifi, so we ended up moving to the smaler room at same price. Very minimal with uncomfortable bed. and a/​v window.unit.surved its purpose. Wishing the had laundry. Not easily accessible for handicap, but their are first floor rooms. Unsure if any have been modified.

Awesome staff & location, but short office hours. Copley is 2 blocks from the green line subway, & 4 blocks from Charley’s Diner (cute, cheap Boston institution). I found our room charming, but not perfect – there’s no microwave, & there’s a sign not to cook fish on the stove/​oven. The tv was very small, BUT my husband & I loved this place & would definitely return here. The lady at the desk gave us all sorts of tips & maps about Boston, but we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. I’d highly recommend, but just stay here knowing that it doesn’t have all the conveniences of a hotel chain, but it is so charming.

When I visited Boston on a business trip, I ended up staying in the Copley Inn for about a week and a half. For someone visiting Boston for (essentially) the first time, it was all in all a nice experience. Each hotel room was furnished with a kitchen, complete with a stove and a large fridge. This made it easy to cook my own food instead of being forced to eat out every day, which saved me money and also allowed me to eat organic, wholesome food, and occasionally host guests for dinner.
TV was kind of sparse, but that wasn’t really a big deal for me… there’s so much to do in Boston; sitting at home and watching TV is kind of a stupid thing to do if you’re visiting. Especially if you’re at the Copley Inn; there’s so much going on, right around the corner! There are at least 3 easily accessible T stops (Prudential, Back Bay, and Copley) and a bunch of food stores (Shaws, for example), restaurants, attractions (the Prudential Center), shopping (at the heart of the super expensive Back Bay shopping district).
While the hotel was definitely not perfect, it was comfortable and clean, and I dont know how much more I could ask for. I was lucky enough to have a room on the first floor right by the door. The large bay windows had to be curtained shut pretty much 100% of the time so that people walking by on the street couldn’t look through and see me walking around my room. However, on the upside I didn’t have to lug my suitcases up flights of stairs (indeed, there is no elevator.)
I would certainly come back to this place.

While my brother was in school at Boston, this would be my family’s go to spot for lodging in Boston. Great location near Copley but without the big hotel feel. This small inn offers studio type rooms — cleaned on a daily basis and equipped with a refrig, microwave and stove! I believe these amenities vary from room to room though.
The staff is very friendly and prices are good. Makes you feel like you’re coming home when you arrive at the red brick building.
Only con is the lack of elevator… and lugging your suitcase up the spiral staircase.

The best thing about The Copley Inn is that you are basically living in a studio apartment with a hotel service. Our room was very clean and bright, with bay windows (we could see the John Hancock Tower), a stack of toiletries and a kitchenette, equipped with a tea kettle, pots and pans, plates and cutlery. Nothing beats a good cup of tea after a full day of sightseeing!
They are very close to Prudential station on the Green line, but we mostly walked everywhere.
