Costa’s Fruit Stand

I have know Costa since he was peddling coffee by the CVS in downtown crossing until the Downtown Association kicked him off the street, even though he was licensed and provided competition. I did not see him for awhile and one morning coming out of South Station I saw him peddling fruits and vegetables by South Station. Costa is so generous and a hard working guy, 12 months out of the year. The Big Dig and banks offered to build him a permanent kiosk, but that has not happened. he’s a great guy, his prices are cheap and the workers in the area love him.

Costa runs his little fruit stand here everyday, rain or shine, snow or gael force winds!
3 pieces of fruit for $ 1.25 — cheaper than the grocery stores. Also bags of peanuts for $ 1.00.
He’ll even give you a discount if you’re pretty or Greek. And if you’re both, he’ll give you more than a discount.
