I stopped by on a Saturday from 2−7pm. It was fairly busy the entire time, at least 20+ people, though there was plenty of room for more. I found it very easy to work, but not very friendly or sociable; quiet like a library with everyone focused on their work. Sitting next to people intent on their work kept me on task, but I would have liked to chat with people when taking a break; this location is just one rectangular room though, so I can see how that would be distracting to others here. The hostess was nice and gave me a good tour and orientation to the pricing, ground rules, etc. The facility did feel cheap in some places — for example the one small bathroom with a roll of paper towels hanging on the wall — but the desks and chairs were good. Internet was consistent but not blazing fast — ~10 mbps throughout my visit, with ping under 25ms. Cove has *much* cheaper plans and more flexible hours than fancier options like Workbar or Ngin. It’s unlimited access was $ 250/mo vs 350/mo for those, but it also has a lot of less expensive options that those lack, like $ 90/mo for 4 hrs/day, or $ 60/mo for nights and weekends(perfect for me, since I have a good office 9 – 5 but want something other than my bedroom for personal projects, taking MOOC’s, etc, on the weekends and occasional weekday evenings). Ngin and most Workbar locations are open 9 – 5 on weekdays only(except for a Workbar in Union Sq. with some weekend hours); their members do have 24⁄7 access but when I went by Workbar in Central Square on a Sunday midday it looked deserted, and after that I went to Ngin where there were only two people in the whole massive office, with most of the lights off — at that point I might as well be in my own deserted office on the weekend. If you’re looking for an inexpensive coworking option without frills with easy access and other people around at all times of the day this Cove location seems like a good option. It doesn’t have the community-feel and opportunities for social interaction that Workbar and Ngin advertise, but it does fill a good niche.

This is a neat idea that has been imported from DC. It’s a work place that you buy a subscription for, and you get access to a spot, not a coffee shop or your living room, where you can either do work or make meetings. This is a great idea for those who are self-employed and need space. They include coffee and tea in their price — so you can stay caffeinated while you work! They don’t have a lot of locations as of yet, so for now it seems quite limiting to me. I would like it if they sold a day pass or had a free trial of some sort. The facility looked clean, and the staff was friendly. I haven’t bought a subscription, so sorry that this review seems a bit superficial. However, they have me wanting to know more! It’s too bad they aren’t located where I would need them.
