Great breakfast sandwich in a great setting. If you are walking through the Commons on your way to a meeting, job, or tour, stop by for a quick but good bite.

Went with the Earl’s Club today on wheat bread and requested light on the sandwich sauce – good thing I did, because there was still more than a fair amount of sauce! They’re definitely heavy handed here for those of you sauce-lovers. I think they may have forgotten the cheese on mine(or it was melted into the turkey), but it was still a very tasty sandwich. They really pack a TON of turkey into the Club – super filling. The sauce added a nice tang. I’d order again(but I think the Caprese is still my personal fav).

I have an intense love for Earl of Sandwich. It borders on obsessive honestly. It’s nearly in the middle of the common and an oasis of sandwich heavy in all that green space. I like the seating for this Earl of Sandwich mostly because I like the common and I love this sandwich place. Service is pretty good if they aren’t super busy and the food always tastes good.

Was pretty interesting getting Earl’s here since I wasn’t in Vegas or inside Disney World/Downtown Disney. Menu is the same along with the prices. Service was a little more slow since the assembly line isn’t as super-staffed like those locations listed above. I do have to say though that you should keep your receipt for a free sandwich survey on your next visit!!!

Tried a Groupon here as I walk by this place a lot. They seem to have taken the complaints about long waits to heart, as we got 2 sandwiches less than 5 minutes after ordering them(although we were a bit after the lunch rush at about 1:30 — 1:45 p.m.). They have a pretty extensive menu for a fast food place with some interesting combinations(what? no meatball option for a hot sandwich shop in Boston?) and the quality was good, but the bread they use is just plain flabby with no character whatsoever — it’s merely a vehicle to keep the insides together.

Remarkably, I’m really surprised at how good the sandwiches and wraps were(ate of friends’) when we made an emergency landing for food. There’s limited seating in front of the building but it fills up fast, so grab a chair quick.

This replica of the original Earl of Sandwich in Orlando is like a really shitty knock off Louis Vuitton bag that you get in Chinatown in New York City. At the time you think you’re doing the right thing, but when you get home a few hours later, you’re wondering why you’re so damn stupid. My wife and I stopped by on a recent Saturday afternoon and picked up the Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich(grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, avocado, lettuce & chipotle sauce), as well as the Greek salad. Let’s break it down for you: Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich: Better than Subway, but really underwhelming in size. Like an «ohh… he must be stuffing his boxers» kind of disappointment after your 3rd date with that hot guy. Greek salad: It was served with Italian dressing. I’m not kidding. This was like going to McDonalds and having them serve you a Whopper. My wife asked the staff if this was the exception(you know, restaurants run out of things), but nope… this is what they serve their Greek salad with. All in all, our Earl of Sandwich did not live up to the hype. If you’re stuck in Boston Common without other food choices, I hope you don’t make the same errors we did. Skip this.

My favourite place to go for a quick bite! The sandwich quality varies from day to day – sometimes they are fresh and delicious and sometimes they have clearly been pre-made. However, they are always tasty and reasonably priced. Super fast service. The manager, Dave, is very nice and always says hello to me. Even when small errors occur they are quick to correct them. One time my order took too long so I got a free drink and one time the water bottles they ordered were too small so they gave me an extra one for free. Overall it’s definitely not fine dining but it’s a great place to stop for lunch. The mac n cheese and baked goods are always delicious.

You might think that this place is amazing cause there’s always a long line and a crowd of people around it. But it’s not. It’s just a handful of the same people who are standing around either waiting forever to order their mediocre sandwich, or waiting to receive the mediocre sandwich they ordered 25 minutes ago. Don’t be fooled by the great location. The service here is slow, the system for making and delivering the sandwiches is unintelligible. And the food itself is worse than something you’d get at Subway. You’re better off getting a sandwich at Lambert’s, or Sal’s or any other deli along in the area and eating that on the Boston Common as opposed to waiting forever for the subpar food Earl is slowly selling you.

Love the location of this Earl of Sandwich. A little different atmosphere at this location compared to the Las Vegas planet Hollywood but the sandwiches taste just as good. I went on a Monday afternoon and waited about 15mins compared to an hour in Vegas. I got the original sandwich and ordered a side of potato salad, the same thing i order at the Vegas location. Overall great spot to eat lunch and relax.

Earl of Sandwich management saw my review and offered me a chance to try their sandwich shop once again, so here I am in Boston doing just that! Let me tell you that I am impressed! I got the Caprese sandwich, and I am absolutely in love! It’s toasted to perfection and the ingredients are amazingly fresh. I just knew I had to give their other sandwiches a try, because most everyone I know loves this place! :)

You know you strike gold when your sandwich is wrapped in gold(foil). Earl of Sandwich… ah, brings back great memories of my Las Vegas trips. As a west coast gal, with Las Vegas a quick flight away, my first destination upon arrival is always Earl’s. I’m so glad now all I need to do is take a nice stroll to Boston Public Gardens and enjoy the gorgeous park with my sandwich. I feel like you can’t go wrong with any sandwich here. Probably my favorite is the chipotle chicken because there are avocados in it and the sandwich tastes so damn delicious in general. After scarfing down my sandwich, I decided to order a second one. I feel the sandwich could be a bit warmer… it was a bit on the colder side when I received mine. WIth $ 7 a sandwich, it’s such a steal. I think a great date would be strolling through the park and then grabbing a sandwich.

Ssssoooollllliiiiidddd and relatively cheap lunch option smack dab in the middle of the Boston Common. I stumbled upon this attempting to walk over towards Downtown Crossing and I never even needed to complete my trek for lunch to the other side that day because EoS was exactly what I was craving. Apparently, they are located in an old bathroom on the Common(thanks for the tidbit, other Unilocalers!). The menu is an amalgam of soups and sammiches that are both regional for New England or the American Southwest. After waiting in line for a few short minutes while I perused the menu, I went the half a chicken chipotle avacado and small tortilla soup, all for less than $ 8. The bread stood up well to all of the ingredients and had the perfect amount of crunch to delicate, soft inside. All of the innards seemed fresh and delicious. The tortilla soup could have been a bit spicier and filled with more actual tortillas but the flavor was on par with what you would expect here. They were so close to perfection, yet I got pretty angry when my half a sandwich and soup took over 20 minutes to be served, even though there were only about five customers in front of me when I arrived. Even so, I enoyed everything else from the clean outdoor dining area to the customer service I encountered. Looking to return more often now that I know it’s here!

PROS: — This west coast establishment has finally made its way to the east. Best yet, it’s located in the heart of Boston Commons. Need a quick bite to eat around ~11AM, this is the place to go. No long line, no extreme wait. However, keep in mind that the service is a bit slow even with multiple workers located in the shop. — My order consisted of the toasted chicken chipotle hot sandwich. It was decent. Nothing to rave about but it does fill you up! They include a massive amounts of ingredients. — frequent buyer app is available. Buy 7 items(I.e. soup, salad, or sandwich), get one item free. — Card and cash are accepted. CONS: — slow service and you can tell that the workers are taking their sweet time. For those of you who are not locals, it’s located in Boston Commons. Take the red line.

I don’t understand how over so many month from opening they have not figured out logistics of preparing the food. 15 – 20 minute wait when you have maybe half a dozen of people who ordered before you is ridiculous. They aren’t exactly making roast beef for you from scratch. Good food, but ATROCIOUS service.

Their sandwiches are delicious. I get the Chipotle chicken, and it has so much flavor. And avocado! Plus, their location is pretty great. You can sit at the tables with umbrellas or sit elsewhere on the Common. My only issue is that they can take a long time to make sandwiches. It is as if they are trying to resurrect the Earl of Sandwich to make the sandwiches himself.

Located between the ball field and the bandstand lies the Earl of Sandwich with its outdoor dining space of metal tables and chairs. Though missing from their printed menu, I opted for the All American $ 6.49(Turkey, cheddar, cranberries, lettuce, tomato & ranch dressing) which I had noticed on their online menu. In five minutes, I had my gold foiled wrapped lunch in hand. My sandwich was warm, and the soft bun with its crisp tasted crust really made the sandwich. But dressing and cranberry sauce made for a rather drippy(though tasty) lunch, so be sure to eat over the foil, or the sauce is sure to sneak past the holes of the metal table and onto your slacks. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing… and it was just right. *** 7⁄2014 *** If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again… Well, I guess I should have tried again a second time. Initially I ended up with a Cobb salad — I had ordered their limited time special Cabo Chicken salad(okay, the whole name is Cabo Chicken Citrus Salad). When I brought that to their attention, I got a salad with greens, grilled chicken, tortilla strips, jicama, and orange segments. ALMOST right… but the missing avocado was sorely missed, because that was the ingredient in the photo that had lured me in to ordering this. Sad. But too far to go back to try again a 2nd time. The tuna fish melt was simple(plain looking in fact), but tasty enough. But best eaten on site before the bread loses its crispness. Bought this during their BOGO one day promotion. Note: Cobb Salad — Field greens, grilled chicken, bacon, Swiss, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cranberries & ranch dressing; yup no avocado here either, and the bacon wasn’t crisp.

To save you the trouble of wandering around; this location is located in the Common between the baseball field and the Boston Common movie theater. Like other reviewers have said, the Earl of Sandwich brings back memories of Vegas. I’ll have to settle for Boston Common though. I got the Caribbean Jerk Chicken sandwich, it had a nice kick to it. At the end of the day it is just another hot pressed sandwich, but I thought the bread was really good. They also gave me a sample of their Wisconsin Cheddar Soup, also really good. The staff was also very friendly.

Yes! I don’t have to fly Southwest to get Earl of Sandwich anymore(other Boston location is in Terminal E of Logan Airport)! But wait… you’re only open 11a — 4p? I hope that’s only because you’re new and planning to expand hours soon. Anyhow, the bread is what makes this sandwich great — thick, toasty bread that’s cripsy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. The fillings are good — I wouldn’t mind a better selection of veggies, but I’ll condone this less-than-healthy flaw since most sandwich places don’t fare much better. The location is perfect — in the midst of some Boston Common action — and will likely be a lot nicer during the warmer months. You’ll be outdoors the whole time — order at the window, pick up at another window, optional seating outside.

Earl of Sandwich reminds me of the fun times at Las Vegas and now it is opened in the middle of Boston Common! How wonderful is that? This was formerly a public restroom and after major renovation, it turned into the best sandwich restaurant in the world! The restaurant is only 660sq ft so there are only outdoor seatings. It can get super freezing when you eat outside during the cold winters in Boston! But it is all worth it! I ordered the Full Montagu Sandwich and it was super delicious. It has turkey, roast beef, swiss cheese, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, and Earl’s mustard sauce. All the ingredients merry together to make this wonderful goodness. I really like how the bread is slightly toasted, fluffy, and buttery. It soaks up all the juices from meats. I don’t usually insist on ordering sandwiches when I go out for lunch but Earl of Sandwich is an exception!
