It’s a lot better than Subway. The bread actually tastes like bread, and isn’t soggy. The cold cuts aren’t Boar’s Head, but they’re pretty good, average deli cold cuts, and not specially crafted to be cheap.
Note that the «club» sandwiches, are just bigger subs. I recommend getting them, about $ 1.50 more for 2x as much filling.

I am being generous with Two stars. There was really no meat in the sandwich and if you advertise «med rare» roast beef it should not be «medium». I could Have lived with the medium that if there was meat on the sub…

I ordered the Hunter’s Club from their Giant Club Sandwiches menu. I definitely enjoy this place much more than Subway, which has such a distinguished smell that’s pretty gross after a while. The restaurant has a very clean smell in comparison. Anyways, the speed of the service is something noteworthy for as soon as I had finished my order, they had already made the sandwich and it was already ready for pick up. In terms of the sandwich, it was rather hefty. They are rather generous with their portions of roast beef as every bite provided a substantial amount of meat. The mayonnaise also makes the sandwich quite filling but it added well to the sandwich as a whole. The bread is quite tasty too as it wasn’t too overwhelming as I find Subway’s to be often times but it did it’s job of holding everything together. Overall, this is a rather good fast food sandwich place but on the bit pricier side.

Their subs are pretty good but it is pretty hard to really mess up a sub. I got the Pepe which is smoked ham, provolone, lettuce and tomatoes and the Beach Club which is turkey, provolone, avocado, and various veggies. They finished making the subs before even got my change which was amazing and the subs tasted fresh.
BUT it should be noted that the subs were kind of mediocre and sounded better and more exciting than it tasted. A bit more expensive than a ~$ 5 footlong from that other place. But this place is convenient for me and was open when I was hungry.

After giving Jimmy John’s another chance I must say that this time I was much more satisfied! The bread was much more fresh and the service was prompt without being pushy. I think I will come again in the future!

I walked in and was greeted by the cashier saying, «You paying with cash? Because our machine is down so you need to pay with cash or fill this out.» Then she thrust an old school credit card slip at me before I had a chance to answer. I filled it out. Ordered a basic turkey sandwich that is deceivingly advertised as «Gourmet.» Asked for yellow mustard instead of Dijon. Her answer: «Yeah but you have to put it on yourself.» I said, you can’t just add a packet to the sandwich like you do the Dijon?” «No,» she said.
That’s it, case closed.
I asked for salt & pepper on the sandwich.
«We don’t have salt & pepper.»
I said, «You don’t have salt & pepper at a sandwich shop?»
«No.»
Asked for a knife for my do-​it-​yourself yellow mustard.
«We don’t have knives.»
«A spoon, then?»
«We don’t have spoons either.»
Mediocre sandwich.
Never again.

I LOVE JIMMY JOHNS!
best subs in the city, hands down. i wish i had discovered them sooner.
the lulu is my favorite, they are reasonably priced and ridiculously fast. the staff is always extremely friendly, they seem like they like their jobs. Every time I go in and tell the cashier my order, they have the sub ready by the time I finish paying, incredible service.
Inside is interestingly quirky with their signage. The only downside to them is that they don’t deliver to my apartment, but they are definitely the best! I work right near them & it is all of our favorites!

Why didn’t I know this was here sooner? I practically fell out of my chair when I saw it was close to my house.
As if I would order anything else besides the Veggie with hot peppers and the sauce. It was amazing as usual!
I would HIGHLY suggest going and reading all the funny signs posted everywhere… even in the bathroom.
The place was super clean and the staff was more than friendly.

First time ever at a JJ’s. Heard a lot about them and excited they’re finally in Boston! (here and South Boston D Street).
I got a #5 Vito Italian sub — good but not inspiring. Taste was fine but nothing special. Bread was ok not sure why everyone so excited. I didn’t quite realize you have to request extras — oil & vinegar, mayo, salt and pepper, oregano etc. Hots were clearly marked as ‘ask for hots’ — next time I’ll add more!
JJ chips were really good. I got ‘reduced fat’ — crispy and super tasty. Sub and drink and chips were $ 10.85 not bad. Location was clean and tidy. Right near BU and Fenway Cinema — just off Beacon St. from Elephant Walk and Sol Azteca and Audubon.

This is so hidden! I happened to drive by! Jimmy Johns didn’t even show up as being in New England when I searched Google Maps. Being from Oregon, my day was made by this discovery. I know there’s many good sub shops in Boston, but my «#9, Easy Lettuce, Add Cucumbers and Hot Peppers» will always have a place in my heart. Order it. Just like this. You’ll thank me. :)

Being from the Midwest, I was excited to hear about a JJ’s in Boston. Their sandwiches are awesome and staff is friendly, but the only thing keeping me from giving them a better review is how slow they are… Maybe my standards are high because I’m used to Midwest JJ’s. Usually I order and my sandwich is ready by the time I’m done paying. Other than that it’s all good, but not as «freaky fast» as other locations.

I love Jimmy Johns! There are not very many good sub places in Boston so i am excited to see them expanding. The sandwiches are quality and quick. My favorite is the #4 Turkey and #5 Italian. They are simple sandwiches with fresh ingredients.

So many kind people work there!
I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Since I am vegan, I had to change the vegetarian sub a lot, but they were so nice about it and knew immediately what to change and how. I was having trouble with my credit card, so I stepped outside to call my credit card company. I was in a rush (had to get back to work) and very anxious that I would have to return to work without eating, but suddenly a staff member came out of the restaurant with a sub and said «It’s on us today!» and walked away. It was one of the kindest things anybody had ever done. They went above and beyond what was expected of them. I will definitely eat here again. The sub is very delicious, even though it is just veggies!
