Way too spicy! Ordered medium spice and it was still too much. Felt sick afterwards. Staff hovered while we ate.

Third hot pot restaurant I’ve been to and the worst. Waitress was on cell phone and pretty much forgot about us. Broths were ok except for mild spicey, which had a rather odd taste to it. The seafood was mediocre, but the meat was fine, as well as veggies. Extra sauce bar cost extra! Ridiculous. Overall a very sub-par eating experience and pricey for what u get. With all the restaurants in Boston, go somewhere else.

It’s pretty expensive for the amount of food you actually get, but it is a lot of fun. We got the tomato broth, select beef and chicken breast. It is definitely not a place I would go regularly because of the price, but it was fun to experience.

Really marginal, especially the«dipping sauces» which you are charged for. The peanut sauce looked like an olive green glutinous mixture and tasted like it. The hot pot was adequate, but the service was very lax. Our waitress spent most of her time sitting at a table looking at her phone. Not worth the money at all.

I come here for the amazing herbal broth that they use. The food and service are pretty mediocre compared to the price(~$ 90 + tip for 3 average eaters, which is a little expensive for Asian food that you cook yourself), but the broth is spectacular, especially on a cold winter night. In terms of service, even on a night when they only had 4 tables filled, it took a while for them to refill our water and to get their attention when we wanted to order something else. The food is fresh and well-presented, but portions are pretty small. I would recommend getting hot pot elsewhere, but then again no one makes broth like they do.

It was a alumni get together. We got a room with two pots, one of them just didn’t boil. Unfortunately I sat beside the broken one so the whole time sucked. Pro: You get to choose and make your own sauce and they have every kind. Their roast lamb was decent. I want to go back and try traditional Beijing pan cake next time. Con: Nothing special for hot pot. Many better places in town for that.

Judging by the name and red and yellow awning on this place, I wouldn’t think I would like it as much as I did. It’s a great place to go with friends for hot pot! I got the vegetable and tofu platters, along with some other veggies. I’ve tried the mushroom and house broth– both are delicious. The food comes out quickly since you are cooking it yourself, and its fun! I cant speak to the entres here because I have only gotten the hot pot. It loses a star because the service isn’t great. I feel ignored at times, and the staff isn’t as friendly as they could be. Overall a great little find with filling food for an affordable price!

Little lamb you were more than a little disappointing. Came in for a quick vegetable filled lunch on a rainy day between appointments. The server was seated eating, can’t blame him. Id be more afraid if the servers never ate at their restaurant. The positive side: 1. The lamb was not marbled with fat which made it worth eating. 2. The vegetables were fresh, the watercress was crisp and not wilted. A very good sign. The downside: The Mongolian spicy broth didn’t have much flavor, at all. I’ve never seen vermicelli noodles with a hint of grey to them. It disappeared in the broth when cooked but grey?! The worst was the side of dipping sauce they served with the food. It was a paste with soy and hot sauce mixed together that was as unsightly as it was unappetizing. I should have said something and asked for plain hot sauce with different noodles but I was in a hurry and didn’t have time. I will not be returning to little lamb. The only concern I want to have with my meal is that it’s almost gone not what the… oh my I hope it’s safe. I really wanted to disagree with the other reviews but I can’t. Upside. Staff are super nice. I feel bad writing this review. But be warned!!!

It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon, we got the cheapest lamb which was really good. The mini dumplings were amazing. The Mongolian herb broth was very flavorful. Finding a place to park in the street was impossible, I’d recommend taking the T.

tried this place and the experience was excellent. food was authentic and more importantly arrived quickly even during peak dinner time. hotpot was really good. ingredients were fresh and there’s a wide selection. skewers were well seasoned and cooked. liangpi was my favorite and would come again just for that.

It is one of the best hot pot restaurants I have ever tried and would strongly recommend my friends to try it in the future. The hot pot has a strong flavor and is very traditional. There are plenty of sauce choices as well. The lamb is fresh and delicious. I love their other food in menu too.

Very authentic hotpot! Totally in love with it. Also a nice place to hang out with a group of friends, and your family, especially in a cold weather.

*Middle finger* to this place! DONOTGOTOLITTLELAMB! Unless you speak the language the servers do, it is NOT worth your time or money to dine here. Unless you want sub-par food for normal prices, it is NOT worth your time or money to dine here. Unless you want poor customer service, it is NOT worth your time or money to dine here. I am just being honest. It’s a mystery to me how this restaurant is still in business.

Extremely disappointed. Food is not fresh, service is horrible and very pricy place. They even fabricated my order list by selecting item that I never ordered. Save yourself some money by going to a hot pot buffet in Chinatown where you can get more high quality food for only 21 dollars.

2.5 stars is kind of harsh — this place was more of the 3 – 3.5 place. Definitely don’t think it was bad at all! Service was sincere and helpful though a little spotty. It’s nice that customers can put sauces together for a dipping sauce. Prices decent, meat(beef lamb) good, vegetables fine, house noodles delicious. Liked the mushroom soup as well.

For people who go to restaurants for the food, don’t let the low average rating here keep you away. The food is good. Yes, the hotpot could have stronger flavors, but the awesome sauce bar more than makes up for that. For 1 – 2 dollars per person, you get a selection that could not be matched elsewhere: sesame paste, peanut sauce, preserved bean curd sauce, chive sauce, etc., all of which are staples of Chinese hotpot. The lamb skewers are fatty but very well seasoned, and authentic. Try the barbecued garlic– it’s fun. For those who will wait in line for the liang pi(cold skin noodles) at Gene’s or MDM, the version here is just as good, and never seems to run out, unlike those two establishments. Likewise, the lamb and pork burgers here are easily comparable to theirs. Apparently the full menu is only available for dinner, so come then, because the non-hotpot items are the highlight here. Don’t worry about the cost– the two of us paid under $ 60 for hotpot, barbecue, a plate of noodles, and two beverages. As for service, we arrived shortly before closing and were told to order quickly and pay in the middle of our meal, but after that they let us enjoy ourselves even past the closing time. There was no rudeness, and everything we asked for arrived promptly.

Despite a lot of people have given low rating, I think this restaurant has very good food. Served in very Chinese style. Boss sits in the front, I can tell the superiority they leaked in front of their employees. I don’t like that. Most ridiculously the manager said I could not take a seat just because my friend had not yet arrived. I could only be seated once everyone is there. I hate that. But. Great food. Roast lamb,羊肉串is extremely good. Extra dipping is indeed charged 2 dollars. I dont liek that. Atmosphere is good.

I’ve been eying this place for the last year and a half, and I finally went. But I should have just gone somewhere else. So the food is reasonable, and the broths and sauces are pretty good actually. However, the hoops that you have to jump through to get the food to your table are so ridiculous, I might as well go to a Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Show. First of all, ordering is so complicated it’s complexicated. There’s no clear direction as to how to order and everything is quite confusing. It took a really long time to understand how ordering works(this was lunch, mind you). I think for dinner you just check off what you want, but the lunch menu is too ridiculously complicated we had to ask the server 3 times how to order off of it. Then she charged us double for the broths even though we could only have 3 kinds. What a rip-off. She also didn’t speak or understand english very well, so we resorted to Chinese, which is fine if someone in your party speaks Chinese. Being that it’s spoken by 1⁄6 of the world’s population, that might be ok. Unfortunately they also took a really long time to bring us our RAW foods for us to cook. They didn’t bring the sauces on time either and we had to ask for them. They also didn’t give us enough utensils and we had to ask them again. We had to ask them for things more than 10 times in the span of our lunch, and sometimes there would be no servers working on the floor. They also brought us water at the beginning, but gave the Asian-looking people in our party hot water and everyone else cold water. I don’t want hot water, ever. And everyone else wanted hot water because it was 5 degrees outside. But no, they didn’t bother to ask who wanted what and just assumed. It took forever to get our check and it looked like other tables were having the same problems that we were having. I think overall if they weren’t so understaffed, it might be ok. But in a restaurant, you learn to adapt when you’re understaffed and the servers on the floor didn’t seem competent at all. I understand that peoples’ livelihoods are at stake sometimes when people post negative Unilocal reviews. But I just can’t stand a place that doesn’t give a crap about service and keeps it going. There has to be some way to show them that, no, this level of service is not ok. I would even go as far as to tell everyone who goes here subsequently to not give any tips until the service has improved. Or at least they have more servers working the floor during any given meal service. It’s too bad, because this place has potential. The food is fresh, and the broths and sauces are pretty good. Just shape up the HR side(I understand a lot of Chinese restaurants have the same problem but this is among the worst I’ve seen ever) and this might turn out to be a decent place. It’s well-located, easy to access, has parking, and everything seems clean and welcoming. Just the service is a –10 on a 1 – 5 scale. Sorry, but this had to be done. I’m happy to change this review if the service improves the next time I choose to go, if I choose to go ever again.

Upon entering, there’s a small dining space — about six tables with hot pot capability and a long high table with bar stools. It’s a good place to get hot pot with family or friends. It’s easy to order: Step 1: Select a broth or two. I’d recommend the Mongolian Broth(which consisted of meat broth with Chinese herbs, red dates, mushrooms and gojiberries) or house broth. Step 2: Select the meats(lamb, beef, chicken, pork). I’d recommend prime short rib, supreme rib eye, and pork loin. Step 3: Select vegetables(Napa Cabbage, Baby Bok Choy, Sweet Corn, Mushroom, Tofu, etc). Step 4: Select Noodles(vermicelli, house noodles, etc) and Dumplings(optional). Step 5: Order Some Appetizers(spring onion pancake, fried dumplings, etc) They have a sauce bar where you can customize your dipping sauce. You can pick from garlic paste, spring onion, cilantro, sesame, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger sauce, chili, chili oil, satay sauce, peanut sauce, and a few others. However, the soy sauce was really salty. They charge an extra fee($ 2) for additional bowls or wasted sauce. If you like hot and spicy things, you have come to the right place. They have hot chicken wings that are roll in cumin and other spices.

It was cold night in Boston and my friend and I had just walked here from the TD Garden to meet a couple of girlfriends for dinner before the Celtics game. We were seated immediately right near the door, it was the only four top table left and since we didn’t want to wait for another table to open up, we decided that it would be fine. But every time the door opened, I would feel cold air hit me. I ordered some hot green tea so that definitely helped. This is a hot pot place so we ordered two broths, beef, chicken, pork, noodles, veggies, fish, and shrimps. Everything was good except the shrimps were frozen and the spinach was a little old. The service was ok. There were two servers for the whole place but the place is small though, but it sucked when we needed something and we had to wait for a server to walk by to get his attention.
