Great spot for a quick, simple meal. Burgers were good and the omelet was delicious and big.

Food is good for the most part(not healthy) reasonably priced. Best burger for the buck. If your not from the area it’s worth it to sit in there for a little bit. It’s like being in a sitcom. Lol

The true meaning of the North End, a dynamite breakfast and lunch served and prepared by one of the best around. Johnny

The Italian sub is delicious. What disturbs me is that the employees do not wear latex gloves when making food. They need to wear them for the sake of hygiene and sanitary. I will not go there, anymore, because of that problem.

Asked if they accepted cards and the lady said that I can pay another day. WOW! Had lunch for free. Great customer service.

Small little neighborhood spot that serves breakfast and lunch. Previously I came here for take out breakfast and a meatball sub to go. Both were made well and hit the spot. A bunch of North End locals have described this place as being the best burger in the neighborhood. I decided to order the burger today and it was pretty good. It was a thin patty cooked the way I requested with cheese, lettuce, and tomato on it. It reminded me of a better tasting fast food burger. I would come back again if I wanted a quick and cheap burger(around $ 5) however I would imagine most food lovers or foodies are looking for a more seasoned/complex burger. If you’re looking for something cheap, quick, and simple this will definitely satisfy. However I still stand by Neptune Oyster as having the best burger in the North End. In general this is a cute little neighborhood place with fair prices and convenient to many living in the north end. It kind of reminds me of diner food. The workers were very friendly and provided good service for take out.

Absolute banger for drenching(drunk munching). The morning after though, not quite so much. But you know what they say, an awkward morning is better than any lonely night. I got the bacon/potato combo. Loved the bacon, hated the potato. Obviously you’d have to be a pretty self-righteous individual to screw up anything involving bacon. Having said that, I feel the efforts put into making an outstanding bacon regiment were lacking in the potato department. I don’t really want to go into much more depth than that. Too painful. The delivery woman, hilarious and I regret not inviting her in for a cup of joe or a brewski(she seemed like she’d show more interest towards the latter). Highly recommended for post night out on the town.

Mangia Mangia is a great lunch spot that also serves breakfast all day. I recently had a very tasty turkey sub here. The portion was big and the sandwich was delicious and fresh. I shared some fries with my brother, and they did not disappoint! The décor is nothing great, but that doesn’t matter when the food is as good as it is.

If I had to choose the ten best burgers I’ve ever had, Mangia Mangia’s cheesburger is easily top 3. Great go to for a quick, cheap, and delicious lunch and its only a short walk from north station if you don’t live close.

Oh Mangia Mangia, how I love you. Let me count the ways: 1. The same people work here, day in and day out. I know because I walk past it at least a couple times of day. They recognize you and know what you want to order. 2. The steak bomb sandwich, while I have never ordered myself because it is huge and unladylike and extremely messy, is awesome. 3. The cheeseburgers and fries remind me of the stuff I used to order at the community pool when I was a kid. Just biting into them reminds me of my childhood. 4. They do pretty much any type of breakfast to order. 5. It’s the cheapest place in the neighborhood to eat. 6. It is worth it for the people watching alone. 7. The stuff is admittedly greasy and there are pretty much zero healthy options, which is the reason for my –1.

I’ve been going here for years, especially for breakfast. You get a real good meal for not a lot of money. For a local place, the people are very nice there. Definitely a place to visit when you are on the run but just need a good breakfast to get through the day.

These guys are amazing! This is a true-grit-old-school-hole-in-the-wall joint where almost everything is cooked on a well seasoned extra greasy griddle. The burgers are the BEST around, and at $ 4 a pop(cheese included) you can’t go wrong. I bought a sack of bacon egg and cheese burgers for breakfast one morning and all of my friends were blown away. I’d like to add that all of my friends are either chef’s or front house staff in some of the best restaurants in town… Soups are great too.

Great local sandwich and burger joint deep in the back streets of the North End. Some may call it a greasy spoon, I call it the best burger around for $ 6. Big toasted sesame roll, huge patty that fills the bun(pet peeve of mine if it doesn’t), perfectly crisp thick cut bacon and all the fixings for a great price. Tater tots are a MUST and are delicious with the burger. Just be warned: rare, medium, well done — there all the same:) Great spot for a good burger CHEAP!

When I worked at Regina’s I went here every day. It’s the North End’s best greasy spoon. When I go in and order their Chicken Escarole Soup(THEBEST) I always take delight in hearing the guy at the counter shout«Ma, soup to go!» Where is older parents are working in the back kitchen. They cook to order, which is awesome. If I want a runny egg, thats what I get. When you order chicken salad, they make it fresh right in front of you. This place is also SO cheap! You aren’t going to find food for this price any place else. It’s excellent. The only gripe is they aren’t open on weekends and past four, but maybe that’s a good thing because I’d be ordering tater tots well done for dinner every night.

Oh hai there little North End deli! I’ve been here for two years and I didn’t see you there! My office moved to this area about two years ago and I have been starved for a little corner deli with a greasy griddle and good breakfast and lunch food. A coworker had the idea to go here today and it was exactly what I have been looking for all this time. Grilled cheeses and sandwiches any way you want; eggplant parm, basic soups of the day(standards like chicken noodle and minestrone) and eggs off the griddle in the morning. Is it fancy? No. But sometimes all you want is a greasy grilled cheese and I finally found a place to give it to me.

The price is great and the quality is good. It’s pretty hard to screw up a lot of the things on the menu but for the price the quality is much better than one could expect. Myself, I favor the chicken salad sandwich on toasted wheat and with a coke its under $ 5 which is a deal in Boston. Aside from the price and the quality the clientele and the service is a riot. Having lived in the North End for a couple of years I have to say that it is spot on for the people in the area. You have hefty boisterous guys working the counter, old ladies who speak only Italian walking in, loud middle aged Italian men who sit in there for much longer than they need to. Young«hip Italian-Americans» and then your common, everyday business man who looks like a fish out of water. Worth at least one visit to get the neighborhood feel.

Place: Conviently located in the North End. Small place seating about 20 people. It closes at 3pm I believe People: If you are coming here for lunch I recommend coming after the lunch crowd, around 1:30 pm. Call in ahead for pickups. The staff is very friendly and they seem to know a lot of their patrons by name. Usually the same people come by everyday for lunch so you get a lot of regulars. Price: AMAZING! On mon., their meatball sub costs 3.75. They have a special for each day of the 5 day week. Steak bomb costs about 7.00 Food: Probably the best thing about this place 2nd to price. Everything I’ve had there(meatball sub, steak bomb, burger) was delicious. Good proportions and everything is homemade. Be wary if you are watching your cholesterol or diet because their food is greasy, but then again which steak bomb isn’t.

Consistent, quality, delicious, cheap. This is my ideal lunch spot. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or service. It is definitely a local, neighborhood establishment, but show up more than once and you’ll start to feel like a local. The chicken parm is awesome(get it with extra sauce if you want more of delicious flavor).
