Massage Envy – Boston North

Just got home from my second massage here. Amazing! My husband got me a membership here and it continues to be the greatest gift ever :) this time my massage therapist was Devorah. Love her! She was friendly, pleasant, very skilled. It felt like I was hanging out with one of my friends– no awkwardness at all, despite my always feeling a little exposed during any massage or beauty treatment or spa appointmenta. Will definitely be back and will make sure to request Devorah again.

I really do appreciate the customer service at this Massage Envy. Within a day, they reached out to me to discuss my review. While I haven’t had a detailed conversation (busy times), I am happy to see that they value how their clientele feel. Admittedly, I was having a really bad day when my appointment was cancelled a second time, so I was looking forward to a nice massage to relax. But sometimes things happen beyond one’s control — even beyond a business’s control. What matters is how they respond to these things. Massage Envy is staffed by some awesome people that really care about their customers.

I was a Massage Envy member while living in the DC area as well as in Ohio so I have experienced many locations and therapists. This location has the best front desk staff I have ever come across– they are friendly and professional– they even offer warm neck wraps while you wait. It seems to be a fairly new location and is conveniently located right next to TD garden/​green and orange lines. When I was late due to MBTA issues, they were able to get me in with a different therapist so I could have my full time. It was much appreciated.
I have gone to Mike twice due to his unique muscular therapy work (I believe that is what he called it). He works in the shoulder blades to work huge knots out and uses hot towels as well which is a nice touch. This is the first time I have been pain free after my massage.

My new favorite massage spot! My last massage with Mike was by far the best I’ve ever had. Customer service at the front desk or when I call is always great. The best part — no more hunting for discount massages at unreliable places — the monthly rate is affordable and well worth the quality and service you receive!

I’ve been to locations around the Boston area in Burlington, Medford, Arlington, Waltham and the North Station is one of my favorites. The North Station spa is very well run and always on time. The therapists are always great, especially Diana.

I have had many, many massages and on a day I desperately needed one but every place I knew of being fully booked, I opted to try Massage Envy which is close to me. When I called to book the massage, the lady on the phone (Keisha) was extremely friendly and professional. The questions they asked prior to the massage were probing and I thought I was in for a good experience.
Queue in the masseuse. Five seconds into touching me I knew I was in for an experience unlike before: a bad massage. I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be possible to get a bad massage but this lady did it. Her strokes were hesitant, akin to a driver that constantly hits the brakes. In feeling knots that I had on my should blade she asked if I could feel them (of course I could) and said she would not be able to get them in one session. Had she actually read my pre-​massage intake, she would have known I was not new to massages and that there was no need to up sell me but, I digress. That was Strike #2 (1 being the jerky hands) — see, all other masseuses have been able to take care of the knots in one session.
Strike #3 — I asked that she go harder and when it was clear that her hands was not strong/​steady enough, she said that she didn’t want to go too strong as she would hurt me. Needless to say, I bit my tongue.
Within ten minutes, I wanted to get up and ask for a refund. Imagine that, I actually wanted to cut a massage short. I decided to just let it be and think of other things especially since I was paying the intro rate which is cheap.
Notice I have not mentioned the masseuses name, someone who I was told was one of the best. I will stick with my regular massage places and urge anyone who gets regular massages for therapy to seriously do their homework first and/​or get recommendations of someone to see prior to booking with this Massage Envy.

One of my favorite Massage Envy locations. I was in need of a deep tissue massage; my shoulders, neck and back were pretty tight from sitting at my desk for 10 – 12 hours per day for a couple of weeks now. They gave me Jay, who was able to knead out those tight muscles.
Service was great. I was kindly welcomed, and the front desk associate remembered me from the phone the day before. I was offered a hot neck/​shoulder rub, which was nice to help loosen up before my 90 minute session with Jay.
The location is relatively new, and is close to the Garden. Street parking is tight and is metered. But there are plenty of garages and surface lots in the area. There is also easy access via green and orange T lines.

I had a terrible experience related to cancelling my membership (no surprise there). I completed all necessary documentation to cancel my membership, and since I had already paid for the month of August, I had one massage left. Ashley was great to confirm that she would cancel my membership on the 17^th after my last scheduled appointment. However, since my masseuse was sick on the 17^th they had to reschedule my appointment to the following week. I went in for my rescheduled appointment on the 24^th, and the lady at the front desk said that I would have to pay the non member fee since I was no longer a member. I explained that it’s their fault they cancelled my membership prematurely and I had already paid for the month of August, however she was incompetent and said «I only have the notes in front of me and this is what it says.» Long story short, she just didn’t understand that I had already paid for a massage for the month and she cancelled my appointment because I would not pay (TWICE!). I wish people would use their brain and process the information given to them. No wonder why you work at the front desk of a massage parlor. Don’t you know the customer is always right?!

I’ve been here twice and highly recommend the Massage Therapist I saw — «Yolanda».
I’m sticking with her because she has great technique and strength. She helped remove the pain and tension I was carrying on my upper back with a deep tissue massage and she can also give a really good relaxation massage. The massage table also has an electric blanket! The front desk staff are really welcoming and friendly too. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area (right next to North Station). There late night opening hours is a bonus!

Loved my deep tissue massage from Stephanie. If you’re going to get massages on a regular basis, the membership is totally worth it. With Harvard Pilgrim insurance you get $ 5 off, which is great! Great staff and nice, tranquil atmosphere.

Lovely staff, excellent massage, nice atmosphere, fair prices. Only thing is perhaps the lack of choice in product lines for facials etc– I believe they only use Murad which has not worked well with me in the past. I would love another option. Overall, a great experience.

Christopher was amazing! I was a little skeptical because I’ve always had
massages at privately-​owned spas. I was worried that a ‘chain’ or ‘franchise’
might be a bad experience. I was totally wrong. I was very happy with his
approach, knowledge and work. I will definitely be back… especially since I
bought a membership. :)

My first facial surprised me with an incredible scalp massage that slowly took me to a brief deep sleep! A month later I did not hesitate to go for a second one and try their full body massage as well. It was an incredible experience. I have started to notice improvements in my skin and the full body massage definitely lead to some deep muscle relaxation.
I have received great services so far and each therapist will take the time to listen to your needs and analyze your skin to determine what procedure will work best for you.

So glad Massage Envy has come to this location! Location is really nice and convenient. Therapists are great. I was there this weekend with one of the new therapists and was simply excellent. I will definitely be rebooking an appointment soon!

Not bad but even though we said it was our first time, they didn’t offer us the first timers discount.
Massage was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. Go elsewhere if you are looking for something more specialized our for more knowledgeable staff.

Came here on a Monday night and was able to get the last appt time at 9pm. My therapist was a taller lady with big hands… perfect. I told her I was marathon training and wanted her to go hard on my lower half. She did the job just fine. Place is new and very clean and has a welcoming vibe. First time visitors $ 49.99 for massage.

Nice and beautiful setting, excellent massage, it made my day so very relaxed. Front desk staff are very friendly and well informed about the programs. Membership is a great value. I was very pleased.

I’ve been to Massage Envy at other locations and never been that impressed. This location is great at what they do. My wife and I have been twice and feel it’s one of the best massages we’ve ever had. Give it a shot!
