Mega Mobile

I rarely bother with reviews, but this place deserves one. Unfortunately I have had to visit their store twice in just two weeks — the first time for a cracked screen, the second time for water damage. They did a great job repairing my screen — it only took a day, and they delivered great work for a reasonable price. Most places have to order the part for a Motorola Android. They had the piece in stock, delivered the work as promised and for the price quoted. So, given the service, they were the first I called after I dropped my phone in the toilet! The staff were generous with their time as they explained the best way to deal with water damage, options — bag of rice trick etc. but I had done everything wrong, and so for $ 30 thought it would be worth bringing it in to see if it could be salvaged. Long story short, their technician did a wonderful, diligent job of trying to revive the phone but after several hours explained that although he could probably still fix it, the screen and battery would need to be replaced and parts alone would likely cost close to the price of a new phone. So after many hours, I was told to save myself some money and buy a replacement, and wasn’t charged a dime. I witnessed a few others come in for work, and the customer service was wonderful — at one point they called up an associate who was not yet at work to help translate a customers request from Spanish!
I hope I don’t have to come back, but for any phone trouble anywhere in the Boston area, this is your place.

The little chubby dude behind the counter was mad rude. Could use a lesson in customer service. I walked in about 30 minutes before closing and, instead of taking me he shuts it down right at the door. I walked a block to iFixYouriPhone (see previous review); they’re open later (Til 9) and they don’t have stank attitudes.

I called Mega Mobile and asked them if they could repair my shattered iphone screen. They said that if I came they would do it in under two hours. I abruptly left my office and arrived at the store within 10 minutes of my phone call where I was informed that they could no longer repair my iphone for another week. They should have informed me of that on the phone because I went out of my way and wasted my time going there. The employees were rude and misleading and offered no alternatives.

Mega Mobile is one of those places that blows away all expectations. Their service is top notch, and the repair team was amazing. Instead of upselling or promoting, they gave me the most realistic option. I came in expecting I’d have to buy a new battery, but they boosted my battery for free. Very intelligent and personable guys; will definitely be recommending this service to others.

Mega Mobile is efficient and has reasonable prices. They replaced my phone’s camera glass for a cheaper price than other places quoted and did it in the time frame given. When the LED screen was broken, they told me up front that it may be better to get a new phone instead, instead of upselling me like many places would.

Smashed my Galaxy screen and according to AT+T lost my world. Luckily, they sent me around the corner to Mega Data. The Service Manager, Adam, was simply fabulous. The phone was fixed as promised by end of day and we received a call back also as promised. Exceptionally good experience and a special shout out to Adam for his professionalism and expertise.

The team at this location provided excellent one on one service and follow up phone calls. My phone was repaired on time as promised. Their technical knowledge is on par with the Apple Store. Go here for repairs and unique cases too.
