Alright pizza for a decent price. Being from New Jersey, I have high expectations for pizza. This place doesn’t quite meet them, but it’s fine when you’re craving pizza and you have a few bucks to spend. It’s $ 3 – 5 for a slice, but they’re always huge(easily the size of 2, maybe 2.5 normal sized slices). Even though it isn’t nearly as good as pizza from home(or real NY style pizza), it’s my favorite place in the area because I don’t really like the style of pizza at places like Sal’s. Pizza is sometimes too greasy and makes the crust less crispy than it should be because of that. However, the toppings are usually good and have a good proportion of everything. Despite that, their wings are really good and their fries are AWESOME. They have some sort of seasoning they put on and it’s great, plus things like wings and fries are always piping hot because they make them when you order instead of having them sit around. Another good thing is that they’re open pretty late. When I came to Boston, I was surprised that very few places are open late, especially downtown – even McDonald’s closes at midnight or before! NYP is usually open past midnight, though, which is good if you get those late night cravings or you’re coming home from somewhere at 1AM. For a Jersey girl in college with high pizza standards, this place is okay if it’s late and you don’t feel like spending a lot of money.

I love their pepperoni pizza. When I am craving a huge(like the size of my head) sinful slice of delightfully greasy pizza, this is my go-to place. LOVE it. Customer service was also friendly. Open late too!

The pizza is tolerable, but the service is not. For the fourth time in the past week and a half, this pizza joint has closed its doors and kicked paying customers out way before their advertised closing time. You need to change the closing time on your website if you don’t want irritated customers. And in the least, don’t take someone’s money for pizza and then kick them out because you«closed a half hour ago», even though it is an hour and a half earlier than advertised

If you love big thin crust slices of pizza, this is the place to go! Very pleasant and efficient service. My friend and I each got a slice and both were very pleased. It seems to be the place to go on a Saturday night between 11pm-1am. There were always people coming in to get slices and boxes of pizza, never a line for very long though. I will definitely be going back during my next outing in Boston!

I would give this place 5 stars based solely on the quality of the food. The pizza and French fries were delicious, and the delivery was quick. However, we ordered ketchup with our French fries, and the guy ensured that it would be there, and we did not get any ketchup. Also, we ordered basil on the entire pizza, but it was only on half. The deliciousness of the pizza made up for these minor issues.

If by «New York» pizza, they mean overpriced and mediocre, they nailed it. $ 5 for a slice of pizza the size of your head that flops around because it’s too big and the crust is too thick and it wasn’t cooked long enough. Not anything like NY style, not anything I would want to eat again. The only reason this has 2 stars is because it was open at 2am when the quality of pizza you’re stuffing in your drunk face doesn’t matter.

Hey — awesome service. Midnight on Halloween and these guys got it done and to my room in a hotel in under 45 minutes. The pizza was cooked to my specifications and was absolutely the perfect late night meal, if a little rough around the crust. Very decent cannoli, and a free upgrade to cake because they only had one cannoli left. I’m really impressed they were able to stand and deliver on a busy night with a complicated order! I tipped the delivery dude extra because he was in costume, efficient, and not pissed to be working Halloween.

Cheap prices and open late. I’m from California and have never been to New York before, so I can’t tell you if this is authentic New York pizza. What I like about it is one slice is ginormous! What I don’t like about it is there’s A LOT of grease. I love grease but it gets messy and it made the crust, which is perfect in my opinion, a little soggy. I suggest either dabbing some grease off or consuming your slice really quickly to avoid the sogginess. The cheese is also perfect. A slice of cheese pizza and a soda from here is a great meal. I also like the pepperoni pizza just because it adds a little more saltiness. Close to the Common and Emerson College, which is a big plus!

DISAPPOINTMENT. Honestly no word really describes how terrible of an experience I had with this place. But disappointing will have to do. Ordered for delivery and the pizza was completely smushed to the side of the box. Did the delivery guy not realize all the weight was on one side??? Has he never delivered pizza before that he thought it was okay to hold it vertically? I’m surprised that he didn’t trail f**king pizza toppings on his way to us. Hey delivery guy try holding it on the bottom next time. Oh don’t forget that pizza should be held HORIZONTALLY.

Big slice, nice price. There is my rhyming skills for the day… Walk in pay to get some delicious pizza, grab some napkins, eat sometime after the transaction, and enjoy! Really good place that sells by the slice.

Not sure if I love this place yet but they give huge slices for about $ 4 each. Problem is, sometimes they give me different amounts of change in terms of cents that’s inconsistent with what they say the price is. Also, one of the workers didn’t want to give me some tap water in a small cup. very unfriendly. In terms of their pizza, it’s pretty good but a bit salty. Theyre not too skimpy on toppings. Overall, I’d come back for their pizza but am not a fan of changing prices and a certain employee.

I still order take away from New York Pizza quite a bit though the quality of the food is really hit or miss. I will often order the 10-piece Chicken Tender Dinner to split, and it’s annoying that some of the employees will only give you one dipping sauce and try to charge you 50 cents for an extra sauce, while other employees automatically include two. The only reason this is annoying is that if given only one, it isn’t enough for the 10-piece. Also, when the 5-piece dinner comes with one dipping sauce, it would be a logical step to include two sauces with the 10-piece dinner. As for tonight’s chicken, it was extremely overcooked and hard to chew as a result. No one likes rubbery chicken and this is why I have lowered my rating to 2 stars.

You ain’t the same as New York Pizza in Malden. Your buffalo chicken pizza is EH. With huge chunks of chicken that are way bigger than it needs to be. Cut them up a little bit so it doesn’t cause a struggle to eat. On the other hand a large is really big. Real big. I didn’t struggle to eat 2 slices but I was full af. $ 22 for a large specialty pizza was a little expensive but somehow we destroyed it. We got it fresh too and we were starving so we dove right it to eat it. The pizza literally fell apart LOL. Picking up a slice of veggie pizza and everything just fell off. Gg. Our fault doe.

New York Pizza is A-OK for a quick slice on the go or for a take-out lunch. Some topping creations are better than others. For example, the Sicilian slices(from cheese to chicken and spinach) are thick, tasty slabs of pizza goodness. The regular slices are hit-or-miss, especially the vegetarian slice which can ooze onto your plate and feel heavy and greasy. You can’t go wrong with a regular cheese slice with a decent cheese and sauce topping and crunchy crust. The slices are enormous for the price. My last sausage, tomato, and ricotta regular slice was about 1⁄3 of a 14″ pizza for about $ 4.00. One slice is definitely enough for one hungry person wandering the theater district.

The name might be New York Pizza — and yes it is New York Style but that is where the similarities end. After a long day in the city that consisted of being tourists and beer drinking, it got pretty late when Mark C and I finally decided it would be a good idea to get some grub. Not looking for a sit down place, the fact that it was about 10pm and honestly just wanting to get in my PJs — we stumbled upon this place thanks to its location to the hotel and our trusty Unilocal map. Pizza slices sounded like a great idea — we could each get what we liked but did not have to wait for an entire pizza. The place was bumping — probably due to the fact that theatre shows were just ending — and as I was trying to figure out what each pizza on display was(which should have been my first red flag) I was rushed by the employee whom was not very coherent as to the pies in front of me. Mark made his order first — and before I placed my order his slices were shoved in the oven. It was only after his were removed that mine were added. This lead to — you guessed it — luke warm pizza for Mark when we got back to the room. But don’t even think that I got the better end of the deal as I am not sure what that oven’s temperature was as mine was not much warmer. Back at our room — with our luke warm pizza — we dug in and upon closer examination we got an eyeful. Yes, the slices are huge as other reviews have mentioned but what good is a huge slice of pizza if the dough is flavorless and chewy(and not in a good way), there is a smattering of cheese, and the ingredients that top each pizza are definitely not fresh(think perfectly chopped onions and sausage balls). I will give it up to New York Pizza for their sauce — chunky and slightly sweet but that is where the kudos end. I am putting this under the« Unilocal Fail» category — they don’t happen often but they do happen. I will take this as a lesson learned and next time head to one of the other pizza joints in the area.

Biggest pizza slices ever. They put so many toppings on the slices that it gets super heavy. Pizza slices that require two hands for support are the best. Am I right or am I right? My pizza pie was only $ 20 and I could’ve ate the leftovers for 2 more days if my friends hadn’t killed it. Delivery came in about 30 minutes in the rain. Refer to attached picture — that’s all you need to persuade you to order from NY pizza. I’m out!

Went here after a night of drunken debauchery with a couple of friends and ordered a large pepperoni pizza. I don’t know how my friend did it, but we literally had a large pizza in our hands in about 2 minutes. Was it the best pizza I’ve ever had – no. But it was very large and hit the spot soaking up all the alcohol from the night. Not a bad place to check out for drunk eating, but not sure you’d get a lot out of it sober.

Luckily for NYP(ha! – as if), my mate and I were pretty hungry after an 8-hour non-Chinatown bus trip that saw us stranded on the side of a highway for ~4 of them.(Good times at a Connecticut truck stop!) Anyhoo, this late-night eatery was the only thing open near us so we dove in, navigating past hoodied Boston bros. There was little welcome here, from the cynically overpriced mediocre slices to getting shooed out into the bitter cold without having a chance to scarf them down in its shabby digs. I’ll say one thing for it – it IS open late.
