One of very few places where you can buy Annie Sloan chalk paint in the Boston area. On top of that, the owner is super nice, the shop is adorable, and prices are surprisingly reasonable(for this type of store). Will definitely go back.

After stopping in to pick up some Annie Sloan paint, I’m now a weekly visitor for my paint and anything else I can find. Picked up some awesome arrow drawer pulls today after shopping online for something and I wasn’t able to find anything remotely close. Justin is incredibly helpful and super nice to chat with. Fun to wander in and see what’s new with such an eclectic gathering of items. Incredibly unique gifts and his technique with the refinished pieces is fantastic. Highly recommend!

If only I owned a home large enough to house all the treasures I find in this shop. The owner Justin is as good as it gets, he is super friendly and passionate about what he does. The shop just exudes this cool, comfortable vibe that makes you want to just pull up a seat and hang out. The pieces are a mix of antique, refinished and custom. Shop is also an Annie Sloan Chalkpaint authorized stockist. Highly recommended next time you are in the South End or heck, make a special trip just to come here, you won’t be disappointed!

Wow. It’s evident that the owner of this shop is truly passionate about what he does for a living, as it shows in his displays and product offering. The service was exceptional, to boot! The sign I bought gets boatloads of compliments. I will continue to refer all my friends and clients to Pioneer Goods.

Cute little store with interesting décor items& furniture as well as friendly customer service. I went there to buy Annie Sloan paint. The salesperson was really nice and gave me tips about using the paint and wax. Worth the visit for anyone liking shabby chic/rustic old style, or planning to refurbish old furniture.

I’m not one to wake up and say, «Let’s hit up a niche boutique of military storage bins and vintage Cape décor.» I’m just not. But if I were, Pioneer Goods would be a top of mind destination. Dragged here by wifey, I had minimal expectations regarding an inventory that would hold my understand. Met and exceeded. Army bunkers, distressed furniture milk-painted to appease that inner(outer?) hipster and some really functional pieces at insanely reasonable prices. Seek it out, spy a goodie you wanna bring home, guess its price, flip the tag. Boom — 40% less than what you thought. It’s insane. Sure, there are pockets of cliched goods(antler coat hooks) but more often, you’ll find legit wares(actual deer heads). And the dude who runs the spot is laid back, and incredibly welcoming. Great spot!

If I had a cabin… or a lodge… or even just a man cave— you better believe I’d furnish it entirely from Pioneer Goods Co. This spot is a rustic Americana mecca. From the minute we stepped inside I felt like I’d wandered into the coolest den I’d ever seen, that or the hippest Elk’s Lodge known to man. The whole environment immediately had me wishing I could sink into a leather lounger with a tumbler of bourbon. Filled to the brim with old military steamer trunks, vintage wooden furniture, classic antique beer steins, campy home goods, beautiful rustic décor and a deer’s head on the wall to boot — this place is a treasure trove. Pioneer Goods is a fabulous addition to the South End. I almost don’t want to mention that the prices here are also wildly reasonable. Too often folks will jack up the price on anything authentic because let’s be honest, they can. All that and the shop owner was nothing but nice and more than willing to chat about the recent opening of his shop and how he sources different pieces. Something tells me he might even turn a blind eye and let us sneak that tumbler of bourbon if we asked really really nice. I can’t wait to return and start filling our house with gems from this shop.
