La espera es mínima para lo exquisita que es la pizza. No debes irte de Boston sin probar esa pizza. Espectacular!

We came to the original location in North End, since we couldn’t leave Boston without trying a legit Regina’s pizza. It was busy as expected and we waited about 15 minutes to be seated on a Sunday night around 5:00pm. Between 4 people we had a 16″ #11 Giambotta (big pieces of sausage, ham, green bell pepper, onions, and mushroom) and a 10″ Mediterranean(feta, roasted peppers, basil, onions and green/black olives). The crust was crispy and not too burnt. The cheese was melted and stringy but did not seem to be the best quality. Overall, it did not seem to have the«wow» factor although it seems to be a local favorite. The total came out to be around $ 42 with tax and tip. They use paper plates and water is in a pitcher on the table. Service was quick but also hasty as the check was taken before we were ready to leave.

This was a great place to eat! The pizza was very good, it has a great variety to choose from. I loved the crust, cheese and proteins; they were all amazing. The only reason I did not give it a five star was the sauce. It was good but a little bland. Side note, the place was packed so we had to wait outside until we could be seated. It was worth the wait. You might feel rushed but your going to have to get over it.

Would have loved to try the pizza everyone raves about, but the service we received was so terrible that we didn’t get to. One of our party asked if she had a recommendation for red wine, to which she scowled and replied«The wines are on the menu» and walked away. It was near closing time, and as someone who has worked in the industry I understand that last minute customers can be frustrating, but the«Hurry UP» in a not so hushed tone could have been done without when she asked us if we were ready to order two minutes after being sat. We went somewhere else that night, and will be hard pressed to return. Good food shouldn’t come with a side of arrogance and rudeness.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had — definitely does not help my waistline as it’s winter and the extra carbs kill me. Some say what makes a pizza is their crust — some say it’s the sauce. These pies have both a wicked crust and a gorgeous red sauce with true tomato flavor. Will always come back when I’m in Boston. The service was ‘meh’ but not a big deal — it was a pick up, not a dine in.

Worst service I have ever had in my life. I wish I could give them no stars at all! The waitress who was working there asked me if I wanted a menu in a monotoned, bored voice(obviously I’d like one) and literally threw the menu at me. who does she think she is? THEN, the same nasty waitress wouldn’t accept my boyfriends state ID just because we were out of state. So we asked to talk to a manager(instead of a waitress who didn’t seem to understand the meaning of customer service) and the manager told us that he didn’t see a problem with serving my boyfriend alcohol! But the lady threw a huge tantrum and said, «Hey you can’t do that, I already said no to him so you have to back me up on it!» So the manager turned to us, apologized and said that we should honestly go somewhere else to get a drink. what the heck? What’s the point of having the title«manager» if he can’t even keep his employees straight. It didn’t make any sense to us. So we thanked the manager for trying, glared at the dramatic waitress and walked out the door and never looked back. I have heard that this place was the best so I had really high expectations but man was I dissapointed.

Walked in at 12:00, 30 minutes before they closed to get a pizza with some friends and was met with extreme attitude by the waitress, telling us to «hurry up» and«decide a little faster» as soon as we sat down. It’s not like we were taking forever, we had just sat down after walking in. Needless to say we left to go get food elsewhere and won’t be returning. I understand that they were close to closing, but I would have rather them tell us we couldn’t be seated than to be met with hostility.

I’m writing on behalf of us gluten-free folks. While visiting Boston our family was proud to take us to the North End for the«best pizza.» I understood that being gluten-free, I would be settling for something far less appetizing, since I couldn’t eat that delicious pie. What I didn’t expect, however that there would be absolutely NOTHING in the establishment that I could eat. Still, that was understandable, although disappointing. What was upsetting was the way the waitress yelled at us when I was asking her of there was something I could eat. Maybe some plain toppings of veggies on a plate? «No!“she said angrily, «it’s against our policy to do that. You could have it on pizza crust, but not on a plate.» I calmly explained that I couldn’t eat food off of a crust. She said, «Well, there’s nothing I can do about that!» It took three tries to speak to the manager. He was much more reasonable, explaining that flour was flying everywhere throughout the kitchen and therefore everything would be contaminated. That, at least made sense. He suggested that I was welcome to get a take-out salad from a deli down the street and bring it into the Restaurant, so that I could still enjoy a meal with our extended family. That I could and did do. However, as soon as I sat down with my salad the waitress was back again. «Um, excuse me,» she pelted, «can you be more discreet with ‘that’. If other people see you, then they’ll want a salad too!»(Heavens! People might want to eat a salad with their Pizza! We certainly can’t have that! It may start a Revolution!) So, if you’re going to get a Pizza at this famous site, go for it, as long as you play by their rules and don’t demand any special treatment.

I never sought this place out because I can’t stand the pizza at their franchise locations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the original is. Definitely a must if you are in the North End and hankering for a slice.

My favorite pizzeria in Boston. The best pizzas, the nice thing crust, they can technically do many types of pizzas. I love the atmosphere, very simple and laid back. Ideal for takeout, delivery, or simple dinner with friends. Watch out, there is a line on weekends.

I was visiting Boston with a friend of mine. We were going out one day and were starving. Regina’s was referred to us by a friend who is a Boston native. He said we should go before 3 and try a slice or two. So, We set out that day to give it a go! We arrived at Regina’s about 45 minutes(We weren’t staying that close) later. My first impression is that the place is very clean. The waitress met us at the door and was so nice! She asked us how our day was going and was inquiring about our visit. We told her we were just around visiting a friend and that they’re establishment came highly recommended. She then sat us a table for two and gave us our menus. At this point is was around 3pm(This information is about to come in handy). She gave us about 10 minutes(Since it was our first time there) to look at the menu and decide what we wanted. She came back over to our table and we ordered. I ordered two meat lovers slices. My friend ordered a slice with pepperoni and a regular slice. She the informed us that they do not server single slices after 3pm. After some talk, We decided to go with a meat lovers pie. If I remember correctly, It came with Sausage, Pepperoni and Ham. It was amazing, To say the least. It did bother me that they didn’t serve single slices after 3pm, But it was well worth it! I don’t really remember how much it was, But I do remember that it was well worth what we paid. It wasn’t expensive and it tasted amazing! The waitress was my favorite part(other than the pizza) about this place! She was so awesome! She came over to see how we were doing, Asked us if we needed anything else. I was joking with her(She was an older woman, Probably around 40). I even danced with her a bit! The atmosphere mixed with the food, Made it such an amazing experience. Keep in mind that I am a New York native and I was wearing my New York Yankee hoodie. I also have a clearly visible New York Yankee tattoo on my wrist. Boston gets a bad rep. It was an amazing experience over all. Regina’s made it all the more better! The food was fantastic! The staff was even better!

Pizza was incredibly delicious, we had 3, 10″ pizzas between 4 of us, and we could not finish in one sitting. We had the chicken pesto, a meatball, and had and pineapple versions. The meatball was my least favorite, the chicken pesto– I liked the best. Our waitress did a nice job. However one man who is tall, and works there is extremely gruff. He pointed to a booth next to another empty booth, and I guess I went to the wrong one. He yelled at me, like I was a doofus. I guess you could call him the pie Nazi– see Seinfeld– soup Nazi episode. He then was rude to another person picking up a-to-go. Maybe being in the pizza business for a long time, makes you angry at life. So I guess that is why this is a 4 star review. Beer and wine only, nothing is on the menu besides Pizza, and it was fantastic. A cook at my work, who is from Boston, and the man checking me in at the Westin, both highly recommended it. Pizza 5 stars, I have not had pizza in Denver close to this good.

Regina Pizza is a Boston staple and I always go to the original location on Thatcher in the North End. Delicious hand tossed brick oven pizza that never let’s you down. The crust and the sauce are the stars of these pies. Crispy crust which comes out bubbled and with a few charred edges from the brick oven. A few specialty favorites are Giambotta which is their take on a supreme, Sausage Cacciatore and the Meatball Pomodoro which has their garlic sauce. Dining in is always a treat but beat the tourism by ordering to go. Walk past the line wrapped around the block and watch their faces as you walk right out with the delicious smelling pizza. A note on the service which seems to be the primary culprit for reviews lacking stars. The waitresses are great! Just don’t be clueless and walk right in expecting an immediate seat and a warm welcome. These girls are working their A**‘s off constantly running pies and turning tables so STAYOUTOFTHEIRWAY! Yes, they will ask you to wait outside until you are seated or to stay out of the main isles while you wait for your take-out. It is a small North End restaurant that cranks out hundreds of pies every night. They don’t need you clogging up their system and hovering over other patrons as they enjoy their food. It’s all part of the experience in my opinion.

This is the original Regina’s. When I first moved to Boston, I was recommended this place as it’s supposed to be the best in town. As it turns out, the person who did knew what they were talking about. However, I didn’t get to visit it until my last year of living in the bean and I foolishly believed that they were talking about the Regina’s in the Quincy Market. This place does have the best pizza in town(that I’ve tasted anyway). Well it’s either that or Santarpio’s on the other side but I can’t speak for them because Regina’s yummy gourmet pizza goodness is all I know about, m’kay? I had the white pizza that has all the sausages and garlic– the St. Anthony’s. I liked it very much. I’ve never had a white pizza before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but they delivered. There is a wide range of vegetarian pizzas as well so there’s something for everybody.

Hard to top what’s been said about this place. I’ve been going here 4 – 5 times a year since ’78 and it’s always a treat. My suggestion would be to ask for the pizza to be cooked«well done». For me this brings the pizza to a whole new level. My favorite topping combination is pepperoni and cherry peppers washed down with some«old school«beers.

This is definitely a pretty good pizza place. Is it straight out of Italy? Not quite, but it definitely fits the we’ve been making pizza forever and we’re damn good at it category of pizza joints. The menu isn’t huge, but for what’s on it, there’s very little that isn’t delicious. I did the shrimp scampi pizza and thought it was delicious. I love garlic and had garlic breath for the next 3 hours even with mints. It could have been a little less greasy, probably from the cheese + garlic and butter, but it was still very good.

Absolutely love this place. The BEST pizza ever. I wish we had one here in Dallas, TX. This pizzeria is so tiny, located in the North End. You walk in and you can’t help but to smile. The eager patrons, the awesome bartender, and the most delicious pizza in the States. We sat at the bar. Ordered the St. Anthony’s pizza, it’s a white pizza with Regina’s Sausage(made especially for Regina Pizza), roasted onions and peppers, sausage links, Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and garlic sauce. My gosh. That’s all I can say.

Came here while I was exploring my first day in Boston. I ordered a slice of cheese to-go as I was solo and didn’t want to take a spot in the restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly! I got my slice of cheese pizza and walked to a nearby park to enjoy it. The slice was HUGE — lots of cheese, perfect balance of sauce, and tons of grease. That’s probably why I didn’t give it 5 stars — there’s always an acceptable amount of grease when it comes to food pizza but this slice was dripping in it. Kind of unappealing when you’re eating. But I’ll definitely come back and hopefully eat-in the restaurant next time.

I wanted my 100th review to be somewhere special. This is it! Tuesday 11AM, party of 6, for our first visit. We were there just as the doors opened. I quickly went to the servers congregating by the pizza pass thru window. «What are you known for that I should not miss on my first visit?» «The #11 Giambotta pizza.» So I asked if there was anything else like pasta, meat, dessert, or salad we should try. Guess they knew it was my first visit when the reply came. «We only serve pizza sweetie. None of that other stuff.» Ok I have to think smart, because we are getting on a plane in 3 hours. I order water for everyone while we peruse. Full glasses and a pitcher for the table. They have their own brand of Root Beer. Yes please. Their brown bottle tasted as good as any other name brand. I can’t remember when the last time I had one, so I am not a critic. Ice cold, carbonated, sweet, and delicious. I was busy skimming through the Unilocal Tips section. BINGO! ***There are bottles of seasoned oil on every table. Ask for the special blends kept reserved behind the bar. Ask for a little extra pizza sauce, and a well done crust.*** Ok, bring on the #11 Giambotta. If I lived local, they would know my order by seeing my face, because I would be there so often. Have you ever written, or told someone about a meal that makes you ache to have it again right then? I am now. Deck oven crisp, not burned on the bottom. A bit of burn on the top edge of crust. Pie slice cuts. Fresh vegetables are thrown on top of the hot pizza as it comes out of the oven. Still crisp and so wonderful. They are abundantly piled high. Yes, I pulled some of it off. The crust was great. The sauce was so obviously homemade. Flavor was bursting from the sauce. The cheese had that gooey stretching quality from real cheese. The pepperoni and homemade sausage was zippy with spice. Now comes the drizzle. I tried them all. There was one that seemed to be a combination of them all. WOW! Can I get all my lifes food with this on it? I know I would die of a health condition, but I would be smiling. The large is huge. Don’t judge it by diameter alone. You must also factor in the height. Service… It was Ok. They are not falling all over you for your praise. I also felt that one checkback was all you were going to get. Know your servers name up front. Ask anyone who walks by if(servers name) could bring us(item). Worked like a charm. I met an owner or manager on the way out. I told him how happy I was. He gave me a brief history of the place and the oven. Over 100 years old. They close on Easter and Christmas to cool the ovens enough for a crew to climb inside to clean them. Bookmark this place right now. You will not regret a taxi ride on a flight layover.

Thinking about pizza in Boston? Ask someone, do a Google search, or simply check Unilocal and your going to come across this place. What you might not know until you head out, is that it is in a charming area of Boston known as the North End. Go during any given evening and you’re going to probably be faced with a line. Don’t worry about going inside to let them know you’re there. Just stand in the line and they will come out to you(we learned this the hard way). Coming for anything other than pizza? Too bad, you’re out of luck. That’s all they have. Oh, and beverages, some pretty good drink choices. Come hungry because the pies are a pretty decent size, and are loaded with lots of delicious toppings. Our table had the Prosciutto Con Spinaci and the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch pizza. There were 4 of us with enough pizza for 10. Of the two, I liked the Chicken one better, which is surprising to me because I love prosciutto. Have you ever ate a pizza and thought it was too rich and had too much cheese? Yeah, me either, until now. There was so much ricotta that it was just too much… it was good, but I didn’t want to leave feeling totally stuffed. We had arranged for our hotel shuttle to pick us up in the North End so we were in a bit of a hurry. I have to give props to our waitress, Alessandra. She rocked — was super attentive and helped box up the leftovers, even giving us plates, napkins and plastic knives and forks for our journey back to the hotel. She really made the whole meal, and delivered fabulous service all with a smile(and that wonderful Boston accent!). Thanks Alessandra!

What am I going to tell you that 1k prior reviews aren’t? Not much. I love the crust. Didn’t think the red sauce was that great, little bland. If you agree, then order the meatball pomodoro fresco. It has their garlic sauce and it is damn good. Sliced meatballs and thick cheese. Loved it. Our wait on a weeknight around peak dinner time was not long at all. Regina’s is one of those Boston spots you have to see and I have no regrets.

(same party as Bozan X.) After finding ourselves unexpectedly in Boston’s North End, we thought the half-hour line-up was justifiable by the best pizza claims. The atmosphere was definitely very cool with the attitudes of an institution(there is no delicacy here — the pizzas come flying out of the kitchen and sliding onto your table). Don’t we love to be abused like that? :) However, since atmosphere can only count for so much, I’m afraid to say that there was a lack of magic in the pizzas themselves. The ingredients were very fresh, with a generous amount of meat, cheese, and veggies. However everything came apart and despite our vow to only use our fingers, we resorted to forks in the end. Beyond the soggy messiness which could have been overlooked, the aroma promised great flavours. Unfortunately they were overwhelmingly shadowed by the sheer saltiness. Both our Giambotta and White Pizza were so. C’est dommage. I found that it was an awkward combination of wood-fired pizza and American plentifulness. Perhaps we just didn’t acquire a taste for this style of pizza. At least the portions are BIG for the money. Don’t make the mistake of ordering two large pizzas for 3 people like we did(haha)!

Watching Bostonians and New Yorkers fight over pizza is amusing. So the Bostoners say this IS the best pizza place. I’d say it’s decent, and given that there really not a lot of high quality pizza here based on the dozens of locals I’ve spoken to, I guess that’s why people love it here. This place reminds me of a mix between Papa Murphys and Round Table Pizza in SF. So not all that great. And given that I’ve been to NY3x for multiple weeks at a time, I can say that NY is better. Mainly because the pepperoni here at Regina’s tastes rather cheap to me, as well as the cheese. And it’s extremely greasy. Like one slice needs up to 5 napkins to soak up that artery clogging grease. My friend Jesse who is a local said the same thing, that this place is elevated and overrated because it’s one of the few decent pizza places so beggars can’t be choosers.
