This place in is GSU at Boston University. They have the BEST chicken tenders and their curly fries and tater toes are legit. I also LOVE their breakfast sandwiches. Great prices for great quality food and huge portions.

Fine for what it is: a subpar college greasy spoon. I don’t know if this is still on the menu but avoid the buffalo chicken caesar salad. I really don’t know why I ordered it in the first place, but let my mistake be a lesson for you. It’s gross.

The younger sibling was once challenged to the Rhett’s Challenge, which he completed successfully. We’ve also used the nice booths with a decent view of the Charles to regroup. Can’t say it’s more than average collegiate dining food-wise, but the space is in good shape.

Boston University’s attempt at a fun diner-like dining experience has failed miserably. It’s known for its burgers, but I’ll never order a burger from that place again. They always come out too undercooked for me even if I ask for well done. I usually opt for a chicken sandwich with mayo, onion and swiss cheese, which is okay. I’ve also had the brownie and cookie sandwiches, which are quite tasty. Prices are a rip-off. As a former BU student, this was a turn-off considering the price of my education was already high. Every little slice of cheese or bacon costs you extra, and while I realize this is typical of restaurants, watch out, because it adds up here. I’ve had the bacon cheese fries before which get really soggy because the fries are so thin. I don’t mind thin fries, but when you slap on loads of cheese and bacon, the fries should be thicker. Don’t know if this has changed since last time I went. I love BU and its mascot, but Rhett’s is just overpriced, low-quality food.

The lady who works at the counter is super nice. Huge portion of fries or tater-tots for under $ 3? Win. And ranch seasoning on the fries make it heavenly. Always get some sort of seasoning for your fries! They now have the buzzers that alert you when your order is ready so that you don’t have to awkwardly stand there. It’s nice to have so you can spend that time scouting for a table instead!

Oh BU Dining Services… You had such a problem with us students going to UBurger and getting quality food. You couldn’t stand the fact that we were spending our money elsewhere, and not on your overpriced, undercooked excuse for food. You couldn’t bear to know that there was a dining establishment on your campus that you didn’t own, that was more successful than anything you could put together. Ugh. Rhett’s is BU’s version of UBurger, only awful. The idea was to create a diner-esque feeling with custom burgers and shakes, and give students a quality late-nite on-campus food option. Bull. They ripped off every single aspect of UBurger, and slapped the stupid mascot on the logo. Food is cooked in advance, and then they take the burger out and put it on the grill when you order it for more grill marks. Oh, and this still takes 10 minutes. Then they put it on an empty bun. For this pleasure, you’re charged $ 4.75. Want toppings? Add $ 0.20 for three shreds of lettuce and a tomato. Cheese? Bacon? Oh yes, more money. Fries and a coke? By the time you’re done, you’re hitting $ 10 if not more. Worth it? Of course not. The quality is beyond awful and the wait times are unacceptable. BU, leave UBurger alone. Rhett’s is awful. Stop trying to imitate what you cannot possibly recreate.

ABYSMAL. I’ve tried the Dean’s Burger, the AD Burger, and the vegetarian option, and aside from the inconsistency I expected(burgers«made-to-order» and whatnot), Rhett’s left me sorely disappointed. Forchrissake, my vegetarian burger was served to me half frozen, and it took ANOTHER20 minutes to get it fixed. As a «late night» option, Rhetts barely cuts it among the other nighttime fare in the area. Like all the other Unilocalers suggest Rhetts is pricey. tl;dr Terrible food. Slow service. 0 attention to detail. Over-priced. Just walk those extra blocks down to Kenmore and get a UBurger.

Overall a pretty positive experience. The burger was a bit pricey, but the toppings were good and fresh. I went with the Dean’s Burger, which was«big enough.» The fries were great. They make them fresh there, which was pretty neat to see. Also, the chocolate frappé I had was delcious, and was not watery at all like the other Unilocalers here suggested. It was a bit pricey(about $ 9 for the burger, fries and frappé) but that’s about what you’ll pay anywhere nowadays.

Flacid, soggy fries with a mystery hair in them, a grey gristley burger on a paper-thin yellow bun… and a long wait. The service was friendly — all the GSU staff are nice. But the food was sub par. University Grille across the street is well worth the walk for a better burger.

I got the Dean’s burger,(basically a western bacon cheeseburger). The meat patty tasted EXACTLY like one at Jack in the Box, and it was surprising small for what I paid for it($ 4.50). Fries($ 1.75) were a bit pricey, but mine were made really well. The milkshake(I got chocolate) was all right. A bit watery. This place is decent, compared to the other places around in the GSU. My meal ended up costing around $ 11, so I don’t think I will be eating here again soon, but they do have something called the Rhett’s challenge: triple cheeseburger, fries, root beer, and 8-scoop sundae(!!!) for $ 18.95. If you finish it in 30 minutes, they put your picture up or something like that. Perfect for those frat events? Have a good time dying!
