Unfortunately, this place has forgotten its roots and stopped caring about customers. Its removed their rewards program and now jacked up prices 15+%. Its food quality has decreased dramatically along with stingier portions for meat. Not sure why they did this, they dont have that many customers as it is, and now they are pissing off the loyal ones they do have. Bummer, I use to go here 2 – 3 times a week. Now it will be 0.

This is DEFINITELY not a bahn mi. If you’ve ever had a good bahn mi, please do yourself a favor and avoid this truck. They use lettuce(!!!) in their sandwich, as in arugula, yes, that happened. No cucumber, no cilantro, the carrots weren’t pickled and the«baguette», was just a sandwich roll and not that fresh either. No crisp, honestly not much flavor — thank god for Sriracha. They offer a combo for $ 8(+$ 0.50 if you get pork) which includes a bowl or a «bahn mi», a crispy roll or dumpling and a drink — this is the ONLY reason I’m giving it 2 stars. The crispy roll wasn’t too bad, but wow — just had the worst«bahn mi» of my life.

I love love food trucks, but this is NOT a Vietnamese Food truck. It is reasonably priced and has good flavor profiles, but go down to Chinatown if you are looking for a Banh Mi. However, I love love their specials on a normal basis and their salad bowls. The lines for lunch are usually super long, but they are pretty efficient too!

Reasonably priced, healthy Vietnamese food with friendly staff. They are cheaper than Bön Me while still as good, As long as they keep their prices cheaper, i will keep coming back.

Meh. Had the noodle soup with chicken, which I thought was supposed to be similar to phở. The chicken was cuts of dark meat that was overcooked(grilled) to the point where it was rubbery. There were hardly any noodles and the inclusion of large vegetables(e.g., broccoli? carrots?) threw me off as well. The broth was relatively good, but overall I regretted not going to the bon me truck instead. In the summer they have FANTASTIC fresh rolls which for some reason they’ve discontinued in the winter.

Mediocre. Better try viet food elsewhere. This is definitely not authentic stuff.

Momogoose is overrated. It smells really(really) good, and that’s what tempted us to buy it. We got the Korean BBQ bowl with noodles. But for all the delicious aromas, it’s seriously lacking in flavor.

I’ve been hitting up the truck that parks a block south of Liberty Square(Kilby & Milk) on Wednesdays and Thursdays for a few months now. I’m a big fan of their competitor, Bön Me(Fridays, same spot), but I have to say the ‘goose has pulled into a near tie with their take on the banh mi sammich. They don’t use pâté, so they start off in the hole against Bön Me, but I actually prefer two of their fillings — the bulgogi beef and daeji pork — to Me’s usual line-up, which can be a bit salty for my taste. I will say this — the guy taking orders needs to get off his smart phone; making eye contact with your customers and treating us like we’re the point of your job is how you get us to put a dollah in the tip can! The guy making the sammich(currently) is slow, but I like how he carefully composes my sammich into a thing of beauty. The dollah I put in the can is for him, smart-phone slacker!

Walked by here today, thought I would give it a try You get a lot of food for $ 6.00 I chose the brown rice with veggies and BBQ chicken I am not a big fan of dark meat chicken but the BBQ was nice It is also served with a small amount of salad greens I couldn’t finish it The staff is very friendly and super fast Check it out, it sure won’t break the bank

I ordered the korean bbq tofu and rice noodle bowl. While the tofu was tasty that was literally all that the dish consisted of(minus the small salad in the container with the noodles.) I guess I can’t complain too much for $ 5.

I’ve tried Momogoose a few times now and they’re a solid lunch option. For a measly $ 5, you get a good meal that is fresh, hot and filling. I’ve had the Ga Nuong(lemongrass chicken) and Chicken Wonton Soup so far, and they were both winners. Not like, «Wow, this is the best lunch I can imagine,» but tasty enough and unbelievably fast. The soup was impossible to eat on the city hall steps with that flimsy plastic spoon. So if you order it, plan on taking it back to the office, and bring a real spoon with you that day. Maybe a bowl too. It’s a typical but tasty soup, with plenty of noodles and just enough wontons. I always want more wontons. The lemongrass chicken was succulent and tasty, and there was a good chicken to noodle ratio. There were like 2 pieces of lettuce in there, so don’t order it if you want to get your recommended daily allowance of veggies. There’s dark meat in there, which normally makes me sad, but not here! It was delicious. I’m definitely factoring in price here. Because seriously, five bucks?

I’ve long been a customer of Momogoose’s MIT/Kendall Square location, so I was happy when I heard that they had opened up a new truck across the river. The good — The soups are all great and perfect on a cold/rainy day. There’s wonton noodle soup,. ramen, and chicken phở. My favorite is the chicken phở, which has a deliciously clear and healthy-tasting chicken broth soup. — The plastic containers are recyclable, which is an improvement over the Kendall Square location’s styrofoam containers. — The bulgogi beef and general’s chicken over rice and vegetables were both delicious. — The staff is friendly, and the line moves super fast. Plus the girl who took my order is pretty cute. The bad: — i would avoid getting vermicelli noodles(bun). Bun is meant to be consumed at room temperature, but I was warned by the pretty lady who took my order that city regulations required the bun to be kept either warm or cold, and that the truck stores the bun cold. Didn’t quite work for me. — It seems ever so slightly more expensive than the Kendall Square truck. By like 50 cents. At $ 5 for a meal, it’s still darn cheap though. If you’re looking for a cheap lunch, this is your place.

After writing my review, I was contacted by the owner of Momogoose. She apologized for my experience, looked into why it happened and refunded my purchase. I always appreciate when owners read Unilocal reviews, it shows they truly want the best for their customers. Though I will not be going back to Momogoose, I appreciate their management!

I’d like to give Momogoose four stars just on the premise that they’re parked across the street from where I work. It’s super-fast, which is awesome, but my noodles were barely luke warm. I guess with all the food truck hype going on, I expected a little more.

My new go-to cheap lunch spot. For $ 5, you get an astounding amount of food. I’ve had the lemongrass chicken($ 5) and the lemongrass pork($ 6) and while both were really good, the pork wins hands down. It’s not much of a competition, pork usually wins. The meats are well marinated and the noodles/veggies are fresh. They could stand to add more ngoc mam(fish sauce) to the dishes, but overall, a great and inexpensive lunch. I’ve also tried the Korean beef bun(noodle salad) and I wouldn’t get it again. The beef was a bit on the dry end and there wasn’t enough sauce for the noodles, making the whole dish too dry. Luckily, I had sriracha on hand. Sriracha saves again!

What beautiful flavors of South East Asia at such nominally affordable prices for my broke ass. I have been a fan of bahn mi’s before they were popular and I was really excited when this rolled into town. Lets be clear for a second, I’ve tried the BONME food truck($ 7) and that came no where close to the level that Momogoose is at. First good sign — theres a friendly person waiting to help you with the menu as your on line, she was helpful and very kind. Price — $ 5 is dirt cheap for lunch near financial and its also a large amount of food. You also dont feel sleepy or have to run to the bathroom every 5 mins either, which is good. Food — I ordered the korean bbq chicken on a baguette and it was absolute brilliance. The meat was tender and juicy with a nice kick. Watch out for the seeded jalapenos which are scattered throughout and can leave you gasping for water. I also ordered the ice tea because they were out of lemonade but it was fine. Overall I feel i’ll be visiting alot more and cant wait to try the rest of the menu!

Momogoose is one of the 3 trucks parked daily in City Hall Plaza. I’ve previously reviewed Clover Food Lab and now I’ve been spending time loving Momogoose. I love how helpful the truck staff is when I’ve described what I’m in the mood for and what they can recommend. Yes, there’s a menu but they will kindly offer suggestions and mix and match things according to your whim and what’s available. I love that there are always vegan and vegetarian options along with the omnivore items. Yesterday I got a barbecued tofu bowl with rice noodles and crispy vegetables in a curry sauce. In addition I got a vegan veggie roll with peanut sauce. All this for $ 6.25! And it was the perfect amount of food. The tofu bowl was filling and delicious but not heavy. It was an ideal meal for this heat and humidity. The veggie roll on its own was bland but by adding both the peanut sauce and a bit of the chili sauce they offer, it spiced things up. I got there just before the noon lunch rush and was able to order and get my food in about 5 minutes. They’ve got a good organizational system going at Momo which trumps that of Clover Food Lab. I love Momogoose and I love the food truck scene at City Hall Plaza. And let’s just admit how much fun it is to say Momogoose. Here’s to getting more food trucks to set up camp on the plaza and getting CIty Hall to allow them to be there for longer hours thereby adding to a vibrant scene with delicious offerings for hungry Bostonians on the go. Go Momogoose go! Watch the cool little video attached to their web-site. Now I love Momogoose even more.

Food cart excellence! Stopped by for a quick lunch and got the BBQ Chicken Bowl with brown rice and an egg roll(they call it a crispy roll). The chicken was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The brown rice was also very hearty. All of this for $ 7, I’ll be back.

Very good food truck with some solid choices at very affordable prices. For $ 5 I got me the Ga Nuong which was very tasty and satisfying. Spray some Siracha on my plate and I’m a happy camper. Very good deal for the money. On another visit $ 5 got me a fairly large pork banh mi sandwich… which was ok. I’ve honestly had much better for even less money down in Chinatown. But it was decent. Overall, I’m a fan. Its good food for a great price and is a great alternative to getting utility slices of pizza, a greasy burger w/fries from a fast food joint, or a deli sandwich. Wait… sounds kinda like a burrito commercial. Ah well.

I’ve been chasing down a lot of food trucks lately and finally made it to Momogoose. I tried the Beef Bulgogi Hogi and the Pork Baguettes. I’m pretty disappointed because there’s absolutely no sauce in any of these sandwiches. Although the meat itself was not lacking in flavor, it was very difficult to eat because it was so dry. They need to add some sauce to remedy this problem. What I do like at this food truck is the variety of lunch boxes you can get. So far, I’ve had the Korean BBQ Chicken with brown rice(+$ 0.50), which was fair. It tasted more like home-cooked meals than delicious concoctions of an iron chef. But hey, I’m only paying about $ 5 for it, so whatever! The Thai Spicy Fish with brown rice is probably my favorite so far though. I really enjoyed the sauce. I know, I keep talking about sauce this, sauce that, not enough sauce here, not enough sauce there. I can’t help it, I’m a saucy girl after all! jk. sort of. Cheap decent food with lots of variety makes for a more interesting lunch. Just when I was getting sick of the food around the financial district, Momogoose rolled into my life in a big red truck.

Damn good addition to the area with their cheap, fresh meals. Today $ 4 tofu bahn mi with delicious marinated tofu, cilantro, pickle, and jalapenos, on a crust baguette. Coupled this with a few crispy vegetarian spring rolls and I rolled out for $ 7 and was completely satisfied. **Edit I’ve since had the Korean BBQ tofu and WOW. Everything was served up with a smile and they even laughed when I took pictures of their giant chili sauce pump which would make a lovely addition to any home.(right?) I’m looking forward to trying this place over and over again
