Stole my credit card info… Had my pump shut off 1 gallon into it and told to come inside where the cashier had«trouble» figuring out how to get the sale to work… Finally he got it to work and I was in a rush so I didn’t notice how sketchy he was being until 3 days later a bunch of fraudulent charges show up on my card… Avoid this place at all costs.

This gas station is a mess. I recently went inside after fueling to get a fountain drink and found the beverage area filthy, cups not stocked, and had to fish around for straws. I was afraid after inserting my hand into the straw bin of what disease I could contract, but I was thirsty. I placed the cup under the ice dispenser at which point pieces of leaves(from a tree) were shot into the cup, albeit with ice.(I just wanted ice, hold the leaves.) The entire place is generally extra dirty which is scary since they have self-serve food at this location. The fuel pumps are not much better. They are always dirty, frequently out of receipt paper, and the diesel pumps have spills on the ground making the area extra slippery and unsafe for motorcycle fueling. Clearly this location has long running management issues, since when you go down the road to the other Hess locations, they are clean inside and out. I have been using this location for 7 years and there has been zero improvement. I even complained on their corporate website several months ago because this is my neighborhood store. I just want it improved instead of being a neighborhood embarrassment. They acknowledged my concerns, but there has been zero improvement. The leaves incident makes me done with this train wreck.

Nice and simple Hess right off the beaten path on the way from the Harbor to Cambridge, this location had cheap and pump-yourself gas. Downside, my station didn’t have a working«hold» mechanism so I had to hold the entire pump, but it was still cheaper than the other stores in the area.

Its a Gas Station(a Cheap*er One) and they have a decent store… Just a pain in the arse to get back out onto Washington Street, unless you drive with the«Im not waiting for you to let me go» mentality!

Oh Charlestown! Have you ever let me down?! This store is located right next to innerbelt rd, the highway, and I pass it often en route to work, and play. It has a creepy ATM stuffed between cooler cases and chips. It will charge you a decent amount of money to take your money out– but just think of all the money you’ve saved using Hess’ free air to fill up your tires! Given it’s location, it is also a fantastic place for people watching, which I enjoy thoroughly. This morning was probably the best example of it. One woman was walking around like Bobby Brown, bought up almost every cold medicine known to man, cursed Hess for not selling large boxes of cereal, and bumped into almost all of us that were in line– which was quite a feat, we were spread out… The man in line just infront of me asked for two packs of butts, and proclaimed«god, the heat is really on in here! Jeez, it’s so warm. Thank god!» to which the cashier responded, «thank me, god had nothin to do with that one…» the guy infront of me seemed stumped. Hilarious!
