Sweet Tomatoes Pizza Truck

Overall very good pizza. I originally wanted to try the bbq chicken, however they were out, as well as the pesto splash (it was the end of a busy run on the truck near BU).
I ordered a slice of the pepperoni which easily took up the whole paper plate. Not bad for $ 3.50. The pepperoni slices were spicy and the tomato sauce, as the truck says, sweet. My only reservations are on the crust which was a bit too tough for me to finish. However, this could also be because it was towards the end of the food truck’s shift. They also take cards which is a plus. I’d definitely stop by again.

Had the BBQ chicken pizza for lunch today. They were donating a portion of their profits to the foundation prevent child abuse America. Really great truck and now I can’t wait to come back! The slice was HUGE and very worth the 5 dollars (the special of the day pizza is 2 dollars more than the cheese or pepperoni). Yes, it was light on the bbq sauce, but it would’ve been too much if there was more sauce. So good!

OMG I’m going to get fat. Good thing this doesn’t come to Boylston St every day of the week. Close to perfect pizza– chunky, fresh sauce and thin crust with just the right amount of crisp. Not sure how they do it but don’t care either.

I’m a sucker for just about anything out of a food truck so when I saw the truck and then realized it was a pizza truck I was on cloud nine. Well at least that lasted for a moment.
It wasn’t bad, but not something I’d get again unless I were really hungry. Good concept, poor execution or maybe pizza from a truck doesn’t work well. It’s neither wood fired or made in one of those old ovens that can heat a city block.
If you must eat. go for it.

The pizza was soggy, greasy, and not very hot. The tomato sauce is good and tastes fresh, but the cheese and the crust need to be better. I’ll give them another shot, but the pizza needs improvement.

I ordered the Vegetarian Pizza which was $ 4 for one slice. The artichoke and tomato was delicious… on a nice thin crust. I will return for the pizza but the service could use some … omph. It’s not big… so if you’re hungry one slice isn’t enough, but since I was giving them a try they past my taste test.
I work near Huntington Ave and they’re usually here during lunch Fridays and some nights too… but not sure.

I am so disappointed with the new food trucks. They are over priced and low quality. Sweet Tomatoes Pizza Truck is no exception. In fact they’re the epitome of this phenomenon.
I had a slice of The Spring pizza and a walnut and goat cheese salad just now. The pizza was mediocre, at best. The only thing going for it was the crust. The salad was laughable. it was literally a handful of baby spinach leaves, some dried cranberries, a huge chunk of goat cheese (that they couldn’t even crumble), and raw walnuts. The dressing had no taste so it just felt like i poured oil on top.
The whole lunch cost me $ 8.25. The small salad that I could have made at home (probably better) for maybe $ 1 – 2 cost $ 4.00… the slice of mediocre pizza was also $ 4… and now it was not a huge slice.
It’s just disappointing, is all…

Grabbed a couple of slices today to try.
The BBQ Chicken was good. A little light on the sauce, but maybe that’s a good thing since I was eating it on the go. I also got the Pesto surprise, which was good, but didn’t seem pesto enough for me. There was a lot on there, but didn’t taste like it.
