As soon as it hits clubbing hours, this place is just the worst in Boston.

We stopped in for a beer and snack before the Red Sox game this afternoon. We sat outside. Our waitress was very attentive. My husband ordered a second beer and she came over to tell him they had to change the tap and it would be about five minutes and would he like something else. Two points for her! We ordered the nachos. We asked for extra guacamole. I had a craving and restaurants never seem to give enough. The nachos were great! Lots of cheese, jalapeños, salsa, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. And the toppings were not only on the top like most nachos I have had. They were loaded all the way to the bottom of the plate. We saw quite a few plates being served and everything looked pretty good. We will definitely go back! The check came and we didn’t even get charged for the extra guacomole! Why only four stars? Well, I guess because we didn’t eat a full meal to really give a full review. I do have to say, the place was very clean. Bathrooms were clean. Had plenty of toilet paper:))

This place looked so dope from the outside. However I was clearly mistaken. The atmosphere is a sports bar that tried to go on spring break in Cabo. The name of tequila rain is hilariously deceptive to the décor and food offered. There was no drink menu of a place that has tequila in the name. Our drinks were served in plastic cups that I’m sure Fenway buys in bulk and had too much of that day. I ordered nachos as an appetizer and it straight up looked like something I could make at home. The fake cheese wasn’t even the good kind of fake cheese. I should have just gone to Fenway to get nachos instead. Our waitress was sufficient however didn’t know anything about the menu that boasts a whopping 10 items. Half the staff was dressed in «lucky Strike» uniforms which was weird. And don’t get me started on the effing décor like are we a Mexican restaurant or sports bar?! Like what is happening? All in all the food was mediocre and weird, the service blah and the décor gave me anxiety.

Great place to grab until berate for giving $ 16 tips on a $ 50 tab. A tip is a gift for service and this chick had zero customer genes in her body. Blond, nose ring, NEGATIVE personality.

I went here when I was visiting Boston over the summer. It’s close to Fenway — since I was going to a game. I must have got there when they just opened because there was no one in there. However, the girl behind the bar, Ana, was super awesome. I went to two other games while I was in town and I went back before each game for a Green Monsters. The burger I had was pretty good. The space it self was large, which I wasn’t expecting from the outside. There was a closed of «night club» portion. The bathrooms were clean and had tp.

Went here on New Years Eve for the first time and it did not disappoint! Low price; only $ 25 cover which is great for NYE in Boston! DJ was good and there were a ton of people but not so many where it was overwhelming or annoying. Definitely going to go back!

Large dance space, however got really crowded as the night went on. I didn’t buy any drinks here, so I can’t comment on prices. The crowd was a little rowdy. I’m not much for«straight clubs», so I went here during a queer takeover night. Enjoyed myself for the most part. Very good music! 90’s, recent hits, throwbacks to the early 2000s.

I’ve always thought Tequila Rain was an alright place to grab a beer before a Sox game. Nothing spectacular just okay. I made the mistake of ordering food there before a concert at Fenway last weekend. Yuck. The Nachos were barely warm and had squeezable cheese on them. Really you couldn’t just do normal melted cheese? The wings were a little soggy and just okay. The loaded French fries were decent but still contained that same squeezable cheese. I would have been better off eating in Fenway or grabbing a sausage outside the park. I’ll be back for beers before a game but I’ll be skipping the food.

What a piece of shit bar. Expensive cover for a non-party club that kicks out women with no discretion. An absolute joke of a club. Here’s what happened: a bouncer comes up to me out of about ten people in our party to inform me that a girl we’re with is too drunk and needs to leave. I inform him that she’s only had a couple of drinks. Nevertheless I let her know and she obviously doesn’t leave. I go back to him and basically say«c’mon man she’s a paying customer and she’s obviously not doing anything wrong» I then get rudely grabbed and lead like a 3rd world citizen out of the club. I was completely non-confrontational and this was just a huge slap in the face to reasonable people everywhere. What a horrible experience.

This review is based before/during the time of a Red Sox game. The two stars are for the TVs, speakers and availability of seating. Other than the aforementioned three things, this place sucks. My drink legitimately had no alcohol in it. The server could not clearly communicate in English and couldn’t understand basic words. She forgot the water after I asked twice. The menu had nothing to choose from. Couldn’t sit there and drink juice disguised as a «mixed drink» so we went else where. I guess it would be okay if you wanna sit down and have some beers and reheated frozen food before a sox game. But if you like hard alcohol like me avoid this establishment, their drinks are disgraceful.

Not impressive. Kind of empty when I went and a much older crowd like late 30’s-40’s. Maybe there was some kind of event going on that brought them in but for the cover it wasn’t worth checking out again. Maybe if I was really drunk and couldn’t commit to going all the way into Boston. It could be fun to go and people watch, but again I’d have to be pretty drunk and the drinks there were expensive(no more than usual, but still expensive) and mine was weak.

Went here before a Red Sox game. We were seated by hostess who did not give us menus. The waitress finally came over. To to mention people who came in after us in this waitress’ section already had drink and food by the time we got our sodas. We proceeded to order(2) sodas. The waitress asked for my credit card to hold. She said she takes everyone’s credit card if they are running a tab. Ok first off I am only planning to order soda and a bite to eat. My son said the burger was good. I got the spinach dip which was barely served warm. The service was so slow I did not even dare to say it was lukewarm at best. I had a few chips. The waitress brought the bill over with someone else’s credit card. I saved my receipt as I am sure someone’s credit card is screwed up. Due to the service I gave a 15% on food & beverage. I never do this but it was that bad. This is one of those places you could pay me to go to.

I do try and find good in everything. But honestly the only good about my time here were the people I went with. Our server sat down and flirted with the guys at the next table for really long periods of time. She was really oblivious and slow. Our drinks took a really long time and we waited for 15 minutes to get the check while she was chatting it up with another table about her life story. Really unimpressed.

Ew. When it rains, it pours, I guess. I was visiting friends in Boston this past weekend, and this place definitely ruined our night. I didn’t want to go here in the first place, but some of the girls in our group wanted to get all dressed up and go out(YAYHIGHHEELS!!! Ugh.) and we were planning on Lands Down down the street. It was packed, so one friend suggested this place. The best way to explain this is a way more expensive Señor Frogs with rude service and a pretty disgusting clientele as well. The music the DJ was playing was also terrible, and the place gets packed to the brim despite it’s huge size. For some reason, the bartender(who was dressed in a black sequin corset and ripped jeans that were both three sizes too small… yuck) decided that I had had too much to drink. I hadn’t, she just had some personal vendetta(it could have been the way I was looking at her, but still). When I tried to order a round of beers for my friends, she told me that I could have a water but no more alcohol. Okay, fine. I ALWAYS tip but her incredibly rude(and slow) service caused me to not leave one. Then, 20 – 30 minutes later my friend handed me a beer he bought me. No more than 30 seconds after, a bouncer was behind me, telling me I had to get out because the bartender told me I could no longer drink. I told him I wasn’t that drunk, to which he replied that I seemed totally fine, but that he was just following the bartender’s orders. So, not only did Tequila Rain lose my business for the night(this was around midnight), but also 8 of my friends who were forced to leave with me somewhere else. Not to mention that my 5 friends from Boston will probably never return– so that makes me happy. What doesn’t make me happy is that I called and left a complaint the next day and have yet to receive a response 4 days later from their corporate headquarters(oh yeah, that’s right, they are a corporate level entity…). Would never suggest this place to even a club rat.

What an awful experience. I’ve heard some interesting things about this place, but unfortunately the evening proved them all to be true. There is nothing special about the atmosphere about the bar. I do like that it seemed spacious and that no one was on top of me and I could move about freely. Other than that this place had nothing great to offer. Service was far below standard. It took me about 15 minutes to even get a bartenders attention and for my other friends it was much longer. I even discovered a bartender was rude to one of my girlfriends for absolutely no reason. After talking to other bar goers, it seemed they had waited 30 or more minutes for a drink and that bartenders basically pick and choose who they will serve. Drinks were $ 8 a pop and in those small plastic cups(smaller than solo). After being charged a cover i would at least appreciate a $ 5 drink. I won’t be coming back. Seemed like a dive college bar anyways.

I wish I was allowed to give a place zero stars. We walked in at about 11:30 on a Saturday night with a small group of girls for a bachelorette party. We had gone to a show earlier in the evening and had a few drinks, but none of us were drunk or out of control. Paid the cover of $ 5 each to get in because it looked like a fun crowd and we figured we could have a good time, despite what we had heard about this place. But we were beyond wrong. After waiting patiently for about 10 minutes to get a bartender to acknowledge us, a woman came over and took our drink order. My friend, the bachelorette, mentioned that it was her bachelorette party, and had a «themed» straw in her hand from the show we had been at previously. The bartender proceeded to come over and make a point to tell her that typically bachelorettes get free drinks, but based on her rude attitude, she wasn’t getting one. Not only did my friend do nothing that could even be perceived as rude, but she was actually far nicer than anyone else would have been, especially AFTER being accused of being rude, and tried to apologize/understand what could possibly have been misunderstood. The bartender then decided she wasn’t going to serve her, and tried to get us kicked out. After a discussion with the manager, who — in the defense of this bar — was very nice, acknowledged that we were not drunk, rowdy or rude, and gave my friend a free drink, we went about our evening. But I will never go back to this place if those are the kinds of people they employ! I’m happy to get my $ 8 drinks elsewhere — I at least expect good service if I’m paying these ridiculous prices!

Came here for halloween and had a decent time. I got in without any hassle and there was a huge turnout. What I am appalled by was how they treated my friend who got HURT at their establishment. He was walking up from the dance floor to the booth area and he tripped on the steps.(Steps that were not lit in a completely dark room) My friend, who was not drunk at all, hurt his hand on the fall and started bleeding. We went to the bathroom to wash out his wound and we asked if there was a way we can get some band aids and possibly medical attention. The management assured us that he will have someone take a look at him and asked us to follow him through a series of hallways. After talking on his receiver, he opens a door, says«have a good night», kicks my friend out onto the street, and locks the door. Are you serious? A guy gets hurt at your club and you kick him out for liability issues. He’s going in to get xrays in the next few days and if his hand is messed up, i hope he sues the Tequila Rain for every penny they got. Not only was their steps dangerous and i’m certain against regulation, they completely neglected him when he needed care. The place gets crowded and its typically a lively place. However, if anything happens to you while you are here, you are definitely on your own. Don’t expect the staff here to be on your side. They would rather kick you out and pretend it didn’t happen before they will go out of their way to make sure you are alright. Shady, shady establishment. I will not be coming back.
