Great atmosphere, not too crowded(even on a Friday evening before a Celtics game), and their chili is awesome!

Bouncers are incredibly rude. Hour wait to get in and incredibly crowded. Definitely regret spending my one night in Boston here.

The bartender threw my change on bar. I questioned if it was mine, was told I was drunk and she had given it to my hand. Not surprisingly I think she was wasted. They need to replace the staff then it will be a fun place. Instead of a trap for people who leave the Celtics and Bruins games.

Tried to get lunch with a group of 12 and they«couldn’t seat more than 8 together», even when we pleasantly offered to wait. We broke the group up so we could sit and eat. We walked downstairs to multiple empty tables that could easily be pushed together. When questioned this, the hostess refused to move tables, saying«these tables aren’t being used«. Other than that the food and bar service were pretty good. Hopefully you don’t have a lot of friends that want to sit and eat together at The Harp.

Meh. It is a bar across from the Garden. Congrats only is in order for the location. Everything else is just well– boring– this place or their menu doesn’t stand out in any way.

Nothing but love for the Harp. The Harp served me well when I wanted to watch the Bills game broadcast from London. They had good beers and a great gameday menu. Props to the house made kimmelweck rolls. There was a large screen TV to watch the game. I would go back to watch football anytime.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. The bouncers and security guards are soooo rude and disrespectful. One of the security guards tried fingering my roommate, and the main bouncer is just mean. It was a terrible experience. Wish they round replace the staff.

First time I went was around Halloween and it was fun. Hot and sweaty and gross but fun because I was with a big group for a birthday party and it wasn’t too overpacked. Next time I went in the summer… what the f*&% It seemed like everyone there except my friends and me were on the verge of being belligerently blackout drunk and it was just creepy. One girl was passed out across 3 bar stools and no one seemed to care. There was another girl getting explicitly felt up on the dance floor with her skirt up and was clearly unaware of what was going on and the bouncer behind her just stood there watching with his buddy. I was pretty neutral about the Harp until that last visit… probably won’t be returning unless the only other options are Greatest Bar or Ned’s, as the Harp is on the same level as those two other raunchey dives.

I love the Harp! One of my favorite bars in Boston! The upstairs is more relaxed and usually features live bands, downstairs is where it goes down(literally). I can dance down there all night. Only downside is bathrooms are SOSMALL and often disgusting(but thats most bars)

Hi. I’m @ the bar right now. I’m feeling profundily offended by the bartender. All my friends are upset at him ’cause he is grouse, rude and unprofessional. He told me things like: why are you treating me like an animal? You know you are not special and not the only one here? FORNOTHING. I was being nice!!! No reason. I put my drink back on the bar and gave him the receipt without signature. Hope I won’t be charged. So disrespectful specially for someone who works for tips. I feel profundily anoyed. Would never recommend this to any of my friends on NY for sure. Sent from my iPhone

It seems my review was removed, I’m guessing the owners probably sent a complaint since I also tweeted about the great experience I had and they requested that I take it down which I didn’t, I didn’t even really get into the events of the night but now since I’m here I may as well. First we got there around 9:30 on a Saturday night and as we were walking in after getting our IDs checked the bouncer informed us there was no cover before 10:00. When we walked in the girl at the counter in the front demanded that we all pay a $ 10 cover even after the bouncer told her that he said there was no cover. We paid the cover without incident until one of our friends realized she didn’t have cash which was fine one of us would cover her, so she quickly ran to the bathroom. After about 3 seconds the«security» went to hunt her down like she was a fugitive on the run and then proceeded to surround and intimidate her while ignoring the other people trying to hand them cash to pay for her. Later on in the night when it got a bit more crowded there were clearly belligerent drunks causing problems left and right while«security» just ignored them walking around carrying their invisible suitcases puffing out their chests trying intimidate people. But the best part of the night was when I was waiting for my girlfriend to come out of the bathroom at the bottom of the stairs and then it hit me… It came at me like the security came after that girl earlier… It was SHIT. HUMANSHIT. someone shit on the floor like just straight up said«fuck it this place is already a dump let me just top it off». So after we realized that someone had just laid out a heater on the floor I notice one of my friends being dragged out the front door by the security thugs, and I mean aggressively dragged out and thrown into the street. Why was he dragged out? Because he took a picture of the shit on the floor. He was assaulted for taking a picture like the shit on the floor was a celebrity, he was the paparazzi, and these goons were the shits personal bodyguards. After we got the entire thing on video the security did a great job of letting some drunk kid in line randomly start a fight with me while letting another person in line punch someone in the face for no reason(they probably both got a job there after that) they just stood there and did nothing. Now on twitter they told me the shit incident wasn’t a common occurrence, clearly they don’t read the reviews about their own place. It also seems like the thug squad seems to be a common problem to. I’d give the bartender 5 stars though he took care of me and my friends the whole time even after it got crowded. Oh and after doing some research it turns out this place hasn’t passed a health inspection first try in 2 years(probably more it only went back to 2013) they had to keep getting reinspected after failing.

Apparently, it’s okay to have shit on the floor at this establishment. Food was cheap and low quality and it cost my friends and I $ 10 before 10PM. Saw a man get punched randomly and the bounces refused to intervene — not a safe place.

Good bar for a night out with some friends. It attracts a younger college crowd. There is usually an unreasonably long line if you get there late(careful in the winter). Drink prices are pretty cheap and decently made. I have not tried the food there before as that may be more of a daytime activity. Give it a try, it can be a lot of fun with friends.

Disgusting establishment. I speak for probably everyone who was there two weeks ago when their entire septic system was down. For 4 + hours they refused to allow people to use restrooms due to this issue. GUESSWHAT! That’s illegal. The managers solution: «you can go outside or to another bar» to use a restroom. Good news is they gave us back our entry fee. Bad news is I got hit with the septic tube which was entering the building as I was leaving. absolutely so gross.

Safe to say that I will never be returning to this establishment ever again. This past Friday night was my first and last time to ever visit the Harp. A few friends and I came here to celebrate another friend’s birthday, arrived and paid the cover to get in. From here we proceeded downstairs to check our coats in. My friend and I paid to have our coats checked on the same hanger, tipped the service and went back upstairs. At the end of our evening, my friend went to claim our jackets, handed the ticket to the girls working the coat check to have them reply«someone must have already claimed your jackets». This is in no way possible, seeing as when the coats were originally checked in only one claim ticket was handed back to us. Fortunately, my friend found her jacket thrown on the floor by the bathroom. However, mine was nowhere to be found. My $ 300.00 Black North Face Arctic Down Parka was mistakenly given to someone else. So now I am out $ 300.00 and without a jacket in freezing temperatures in the dead of winter in New England. One of the employees who was cleaning up at the end of the night who saw that I was visibly upset found a random coat check ticket on the floor and handed it to me to try to go up to the coat check to see if they could turn up with my jacket. Needless to say, my coat was not behind the coat check. We tried speaking with one of the managers there, Robert, that evening although this didn’t prove to be helpful. Frustrated and upset, I left the bar my contact information in case the jacket turned up and in return they provided me with a bar sweatshirt. Although I understand that the gesture was meant to be kind, it by no way made up for the fact that I was out a $ 300.00 North Face Parka that I had just received for Christmas several months ago. I would be less upset after all of this if I hadn’t have checked my coat and had left it laying around the bar and it got stolen that way. However, that was not the case. I paid to have my jacket looked after and taken care of, and the complete opposite happened. Which puts this establishment at fault for my lost item, to which they will not own up for.

A good, relatively cheap place to hang out. With access to the Garden and a T stop near by, great place to meet up with friends. Live band upstairs and a dance bar like atmosphere downstairs, it is a place where everyone can have a fun, safe time.

Eh, solid food, nothing special. Service was okay, but our food came out super late. People were seated after us and got their food before us and all we ordered www nachos and buffaloes tenders. It’s pretty packed before games but if you’re in early you’ll get a table. Beer selection is solid for area.

Okay, so we have all been to the harp for dancing. We have all waited in the ridiculous line, or come here to watch a sports game. And yes, danced in the«boom boom room». It’s a Boston bar, and with that, it would get 3 stars. But this is for the food. I had the luxury of eating here. At first when my friend suggested to meet there, I was a little hap-hazard. I mean, it’s a bar. A club. However, I was beyond beyond pleased with my entire experience. Their chicken fingers are by far, in my top 3 best chicken fingers I have ever had. And if you know me, you know how competitive this ranking is. Like, I could live off of these. Overall, everyone’s food was very very good(nachos, salad, fries). Looking for a sports bar? Looking for young 20’s? Looking for good bar food? Looking for a sports game? Yes yes yes.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks. The ladies ordered a couple martinis that were in plastic cups, weak, and full of ice(strange presentation). I ordered the wicked spicy burger that was ok but overpriced for a frozen patty; the sautéed veggies I subbed for the fries redeemed the dish, though. The buffalo chicken dip tasted like butter, shredded chicken, and a tiny bit of buffalo sauce, unimpressive. Calamari was alright. We actually ventured downstairs for dancing, which would’ve been perfect had I been 21. People watching was fantastic, but you do have to watch out for flying elbows, broken bottles, and wet floors. The DJ did a good job of playing blast from the past mixed with current music. The mixed drinks downstairs seemed to be better made than upstairs(could’ve been a fluke just that day). Your best bet it to skip the food, be a young 20 something, come early enough to avoid the $ 10 cover, and enjoy a couple hours of dancing and attempted courtship. Pre-partying is highly recommended as bottles of Bud Light were $ 6.
