I had a great time at brunch today! At first I thought the service was a bit slow but after things got going everything was absolutely fantastic, great food at a reasonable price. I plan on returning soon to try out more of their drinks.

Stopped by for dinner and drinks before the Notre Dame football game at Fenway Park. The place got packed as game time got closer. Even as full as they were, the beer was cold, the food was hot, and the TVs played other college football games in HD. What more can you ask for during an indoor«tailgate?» Our server was fantastic. The owner stopped by to check in with us. The fish and chips was great. If you are near Fenway, check this place out! Just a few blocks from the entrance at Gate D. Thanks for a great experience!

I was in the area looking for some good bar food so I thought I would give this place a shot. The prices are very reasonable for the area but the quality of food and the atmosphere are lacking. The menu is mostly burgers and chicken sandwiches so I thought would try a burger. It was an average burger nothing very exciting about it, however the French fries are delicious. If your looking for a reasonably priced place to eat then this place will do, however there are much better places in the area.

Went here with the boyfriend to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. We arrived early enough so we were able to be seated right away. After perusing the menu, we decided to split the egg scramble with chili and the french toast with strawberries and whipped cream, with some helpful suggestions from our waitress. The food took a little while to come out – maybe about 20 minutes – which seemed like a long time considering it was breakfast food. The egg scramble with chili was alright – but nothing special, as the chili was not very impressive and was a bit too watery to be paired with eggs in my opinion. It was served with homestyle potatoes and rye bread, which was good. The cinnamon french toast with strawberries and whipped cream was a lot better, though it was a bit smaller than I was expecting. However, the flavors were excellent and made for a tasty dish. Overall, this place was decent, but hit very average marks for me. Reasonably priced and friendly staff, but quality of food and wait time could be improved.

I thought this place was pretty good. I went with my family and we had chicken wings to start. I recommend getting the buffalo wings, they were pretty decent. All of our entrees were great. I would go back to this place.

This post is about customer service. While my wife, daughter and I were dining #thorntonsfenwaygrille we were roundly chastised by a woman whom we believe to be the owner’s wife. Our crime? Allowing our daughter to play with a free packet of @smuckersbrand strawberry jelly on our table. This to prevent her from her usual dining habit of yelling and screaming. We were told in the rudest terms that this activity was«not the smartest idea» and were asked to relinquish the jam. Allegedly it was threatening the menu’s clean surface. We still left our excellent waitress a 32% tip. She did not deserve punishment despite other’s rude behavior. While the food was quite nice, I’m not sure we’ll be dining in the jam-free zone again anytime soon. #restaurant #dining #customerservice #waitress #tips #tip #jelly #jam #marmalade #baby #cute #kids #toddler

The food is pretty good, but I wouldn’t call it a «must» eat. A great brunch option in the Fenway area — I’ve spent many Saturday mornings here before headed over to Fenway. Service can be a bit slow if you eat outside, but I love the atmosphere here.

Me and my boyfriend love coming to thortons we’ve been here for breakfast before, we’ve tried their lunch and dinner. The nachos are amazing, were both a big fan of the strawberry splash, and the omelettes are amazing! Their was only one time that we came in and it was extremely full and that was in the winter, but the food is amazing well worth the wait. Other than that one time in the winter we never really had to wait for a table. The servers are always super nice to us. The only thing we haven’t done yet is sit by the bar for drinks which we will do soon! :)

Fabulous is the only word I have. Our waitress Julie was absolutely phenomenal. From the wine to the salad to the main course and dessert and the patio seating, it was a great experience. I asked for salmon that was spicy and they added a Cajun seasoning that was delicious. Absolutely recommend trying this place.

We were around the Fenway area searching for a decent place to brunch and Thorton’s, there you were! I’ve been in search for the world’s best crab cake Benedict so naturally, if the brunch place had it, I’m all in. Overall, it was pretty good and scored right in the middle there. I’ve certainly had better but it definitely hit the spot. Service was efficient and we got in and out of there within the hour. There’s also lovely al fresco seating available to complement your morning Mimosas and Bloody Marys.

The servers here were very nice, friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic, drinks were great. We went to this place after a Red Sox game because it had great reviews and Thornton was my maiden name, so of course we had to try it. I definitely recommend!

Thortons is a hit or miss for me most days, but is a staple of the Fenway restaurant community. They definitely have some solid menu items(burgers are great and the buffalo fingers are awesome) but don’t expect anything fancy here. The drinks are also pretty hit or miss. Sometimes the bar makes a solid margarita and sometimes they pour you a glass of corn syrup and ice, but hey who’s counting? As for service its alright. Staff can be a little slow and forgetful but they are generally cool people who actually care that you have a solid experience. All in all Thortons is the kind of place you go to when you want an order of buffalo fingers and a beer and thats fine with me most days!

Just okay. I had brunch with friends, which was nice. There are many egg options. I had spinach and tomatoes with jalapeños tossed in. The scrambled eggs come with(mediocre) potatoes. I asked to swap that out for fruit. It cost $ 1.50 and they didn’t swap out the potatoes. I hate leaving food on my plate. And the fruit was just quarter of an apple, pear, and ten grapes. They also charged $ 1.50 for the jalapeño slices. There were like six jalapeños added. Eggs were good but nothing I couldn’t have made at home. The extras were overpriced. I really don’t like having to pay extra to swap fruit for the default carbo-loaded side. I especially don’t like it when they don’t actually swap anything out. Short story: I found something I liked that was healthy, but nothing special. Also, I felt nickle and dimed for trying to health-up my meal. Not cool.

Such a cute, out of the way place tucked in the corner of the street. I have come in for their 4% margarita Thursdays, weekday lunches and my favourite — sunday brunch. Some slightly pricey options, but definitely worth it. Always had great service and friendly waiters. My go-to place for brunch when out-of-towners visit. Classic.

First a confession: this was not our first choice, or even second, when looking for a place to hang out and watch the AFC game. Thank goodness those other places were full! One of our party suggested Thornton’s, apparently a regular lunch hang-out for her work crew. It’s not too big, and is well lit, which was actually a nice change from the usual dark, over-crowed-loud sports bar venue, yet lots of TVs good for watching the game. A decent beer list, and even more interesting drink list(including frozen and«ice-cream» drinks!) I had a hard time choosing what to eat; there were a lot of interesting sandwiches, a good selection of hamburgers, stir-fry and pasta dishes. I went with the«Wolf»; a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was spicy and tasty! I also enjoyed the fries and onion rings, though the rights could have used a scootch more spices. But maybe that’s just me. For desert the table shared slices of chocolate mousse cake, almond sponge cake, and a vanilla sundae. Some of the best vanilla ice cream ever! Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our Superbowl plans aren’t totally firmed up, but I’m campainging for Thornton’s. Even if that doesn’t work out, I will defiantly be back to work through more of the menu!

I’ve been here three times and have yet been disappointed. The food is beyond amazing, LIKEBEYOND. It’s sooooooo good. I get something different every time I come and leave very satisfied. The staff is friendly, there’s a variety of food and the location is great. It’s not at all pricey and the food is delish!!! I come here during lunch time at work and it’s not too busy during that time but it can be. I honestly just can’t wait to go back and start making my visits there weekly. I know I won’t regret it So far I’ve had the Isabella Gardner(which is like the best salad I’ve ever had) the chicken was really spicy, great kick(Cajun) and I love the fact that they mix pasta with it, great combo. I’ve had chicken tenders and fries, they don’t have kens honey mustard, but theirs is pretty good as well. I’ve also had a turkey sandwich, which is your ordinary, turkey lettuce tomato and mayo. Variety kind of freaks me out on a menu so the first time I went, I went the safe route and ordered that. But after that, I came on Unilocal to see what else the restaurant had to offer

I went here on a random Thursday night with my fiancé to just relax and have fun. It was a fairly warm night so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Our waitress was very energetic and welcoming. We weren’t super hungry so we just ordered the wings and I was actually pretty impressed with their wings. It was very cheap(I believe they have wing specials every Thursday night) and they tasted really good. Even my fiancé, who doesn’t usually like meat that much, ate a lot more than usual. If you are looking for a casual night where you can just sit back and relax and enjoy some delicious wings, I highly recommend this place!

I used to go to Thortons often before Red Sox games until it burned down a couple of years ago. It is located a couple of blocks from Fenway, so it’s usually easier to get a table. I went back again last Saturday before the sox game. The new interior is very nicely decorated. We chose to sit on the patio. Thankfully, the menu has not changed as I have always loved the inexpensive and tasty options here. One of my favorite sandwiches is the as good as it gets chicken sandwich. This past time that I went I got the bacon cheeseburger and shared half and half for my husbands the departed chicken sandwich. Both were awesome. Thortons also has some of the best French fries around. Unfortunately, the service was not great. The manager was good about getting us seated quickly with a round of beers. Our actual server forgot about us and we didn’t see him once after we got our entrees and 2nd round of beers until we got the check. Bottom line, this is a good place to grab food before a sox game for a reasonable price and nice atmosphere. I will be back for sure.

Brunch entrees average $ 8 – 9, pleasantly cheap considering its Fenway location. The cheapest price for eggs benedicts I’ve seen so far. Eggs benedict was $ 8.95 with home fries and a slice of orange included. Muffin was delightfully soft, yolk was runny, egg white nice and thick. Hollandaise sauce could’ve been more flavored with lemon, but it was still decently creamy. Potatoes were great, lightly sprinkled with red spice. Outdoor seating is pleasant for a summer afternoon. Dogs friendly outdoor wise. Service was excellent. Front greeter was very cheerful. Our waitress easily accepted our request to split the check and didn’t give us attitude when a lot my exchange students paid a portion of theirs by change, creating an embarrassing mountain of pennies and whatnot. Each of our receipts even had ‘Thank you’ with a heart drawn above it :)
