I really like this laundromat. they have big washing machines so you can do a lot of laundry at once and the dryers work really well. The owner is very helpful and the price 69 cents a lb. is very reasonable!

This laundromat is pretty similar to most laundromats in Boston with one exception: It is super close to where I live. There used to be a dry cleaners in this location, but it closed a long time before V&D opened and it was closed well before I moved into the neighborhood. As someone without a car who used to have to put her laundry in a cart and push it ten minutes to the nearest laundromat, having one close by is awesome. Those little metal carts don’t handle too well in the snow(or just at all, really). Otherwise, it isn’t any nicer than the other laundromats in the area. It’s not that big and unless you’re the kind of person who likes to hang out with strangers and their kids doing laundry, it’s not the most exciting place to spend your afternoon. The prices for the washers and dryers are pretty standard and there are different sizes of washing machines so you can adjust according to the load of laundry you have. They do have free wireless that doesn’t require a login, so that’s a nice perk if you don’t live as close as I do and have to stay to keep an eye on your laundry. The coin machine has never yet been out of quarters or out of order during one of my visits, the owner is always puttering around doing laundry and keeping an eye on things, and they’re open until 8 pm seven days a week.
