Don’t listen to the bad reviews; they must be from students and other«out-of-towers.» This is a nice little liquor store in a great location with a great craft beer and wine selection. Check it out.

I just had the immense misfortune to have visited this establishment. The worker was disrespectful and for all intents and purposes unhelpful in finding what I wanted. When all was said and done, he refused to believe the donor sticker and expiration date of my Arizona driver’s licence and rudely forced me out of the store. I’ve never had this happen before and can’t believe the incompetence of the worker in not understanding how ID’s work. Although I have purchased from them in the past, I will make sure to never make that mistake again.

I literally just left here, and the woman at the register was nasty! Sorry if you’re in a bad mood, but at least show some semblance of wanting to be at your job. The selection of the store is awesome, but when I’m paying $ 14 for a bottle of wine I could get at Wegman’s for $ 10, I wouldn’t mind a friendly response to when I ask if you’ve had the wine. After the customer service I just had, I’ll never, ever come back.

This place is in a great location(Kenmore Square) but kind of hard to notice unless the neon signs are on or they have the strange broken foldable sign in the middle of the sidewalk. I do really like the selection that The Wine Gallery offers, especially since they have a bunch of craft beers, in packs and in single bottles. The customer service is excellent and the staff really know what they have. Definitely good for asking for recommendations.

This little store is tucked away but well laid out to find what you are looking for. I was looking for a specialty wine that I can seldom find in liquor stores but they had it! It was decent priced. I thought it would be higher priced cause it was close to the city but I was wrong.

Could be easily overlooked and when you go inside, you understand why. It is quite small in there. Their selection is small but okay. Like most liquor stores in Fenway, overpriced and catering to the generic and mainstream distributors. Although the price range is moderate. But if I’m going to buy a bottle, I want quality and an affordable price. I do appreciate that they carry some local craft brews by the growler, and have some other decent selections for beer. Their staff isn’t too knowledgeable but they’re polite. Not necessarily friendly but not awful. The person working recommended a wine that was supposed to be comparable to the wine I was looking for, but it was pretty bad. I cleaned out one of their wines they carry but they haven’t gotten it in awhile. At this point, I’m just in and out if I don’t see anything worth purchasing.

Small, odd location. I saw the name«Wine Gallery» and saw inside the windows and made my way inside. It’s an odd location, in that you have to duck down several steps and around the corner to get inside. I bet that effects their foot traffic dramatically — it’s not like the front door is right there for you to just pop in. The place is a lot smaller than you’d think. I browsed for a bit but saw very few wines I recognized. They have some type of setup where you can sample a few wines upon request, but I wasn’t feeling up to it at the moment. Nice enough place but I would hardly call it a «gallery». Maybe just a «small cellar»…

Good prices for decent wines and alcohol… just don’t go on a Friday afternoon because they’ll be pretty low on… everything. Also, don’t expect to be greeted or helped. I walked into this place and the guy was sitting at the counter staring at me… didn’t say hi, didn’t offer to help even though the place was deserted. Two more people walked in, same thing with them, and I don’t blame them for just walking out as I did.

I like this place because they have a great selection of specialty beers and wines. I also like that they regularly have tastings and displays by the brewers themselves. Very nice. The inside is elegant, although slightly cramped due to space. Still a choice place to go.

Well, I used to overlook Wine Gallery’s spotty selection b/c I would stop by to grab some beer before going to Fin’s across the street um, like every week. Then I had an experience that will make me never go back, just out of principle(oh, also Fin’s now serves alcohol). The woman who works there was always kind of zany but nice. I’m not sure why she turned on me. As she was helping a customer choose a bottle of wine, I grabbed some beer and went to the counter, ready to pay. I’m waiting patiently for over 5 minutes as she explains the history of wine to her customer even though she’s noticed me waiting but didn’t say anything. Then I wait some more. She even tells the delivery guy she’ll be right there, but I get no acknowledgment. So I finally say something and she huffs and puffs her way over to me and yells at me that if I had come in first, I would want her full attention. UM — NO, I would expect her to step away for a second to help a paying customer. Anyway then she scrutinizes my ID and continues making passive aggressive comments. Wine Gallery no more. The one star is for the man who works there because he’s super nice.

This is a great spot — they have a decent selection of wines and the prices are very reasonable. If you are buying a gift for someone, they are eager to put it in a gift bag with ribbon at no additional charge. There is a woman that I usually see there more often on the weekends(it’s usually during the week when I can go) who is fabulous — she is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and has recommended a couple of amazing wines to me that I have bought again and again.

Eating dinner at Fin’s just across the street, where they offer BYOB, but lacking Your Own Booze? Jet across the street to The Wine Gallery and pick-up a bottle of sake, wine or beer from their friendly staff. The store is neat and well organized and they have a great selection of wines and beers. The staff is REALLY friendly, the woman working there each time I come in takes the time to help you understand what you might like and then help push you to try new things. Its the closest liquor store to my house, so when I have«wine parties» I suggest people who are short for time, stop here RIGHT as they get off the T and head my way! The only thing you might miss? Because they rent the space from BU they are not allowed to carry nips or handles of booze!
