Was genuinely surprised how big my burger n fries were when they came out. The restaurant calls itself Italian express, but believe me when I say it’s 100% American. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The food is freshly made and high quality. Their fries are crisped to perfection. Cannot recommend them enough. The chicken burger was huge and very filling. They have fountain drinks but it’s only Pepsi brand owned ones. Location is very convenient being right on Tremont Street. Seating is plentiful and they have public bathrooms. Overall a nice, inexpensive burger joint that would be ideal for college students and people on a budget. It’s probably about the same price range as the U Burger that existed before Ziti’s if that gives any indication. Will almost definitely be back.

$ 18 dollars for lunch? I got a cesaer salad and puttanesca pasta… didn’t make quite to much sense, so I’ll probably only come back to grab a slice. Nice people, just not really a solid authentic place.

I’ve had a philly cheese steak to go before and it wasn’t bad. Tonight I had a really different experience. The two cheese slices I had weren’t edible. The cheese was so rubbery I almost choked on multiple occasions. The cup they gave me for a fountain drink had black marks on the inside. I asked for another cup but I was wary of everything.

What to say about Ziti’s, well, the moment you walk you can smell the sweet aroma of their pizza it’s like going into a big pizza shop in Italy. I’ve been coming here for about a few times whenever I’m taking pictures around Downtown Crossing, and I have to say that this is one of my favorite spots to eat at. And whenever I come here I always forget how big their meals are. maybe that’s my greedy habits lol but I do like the slices of pizza pie, very nice compared to other places I’ve tried and the subs are really good too. Not to mention the pasta here are good as well! Definitely recommend to someone.

This Italian express food is amazing! Pasta, pizza, chicken all tasty. Their milk shake is also great! The place is easy to find, nice and clean. Staff are friendly and quick. I prefer this place than many fancy Italian places around.

It’s okay, definitely not the best steak in the world but it’ll soothe a steak and cheese sub crave.

Really tasty cheese pizza. Eight big slices will run you under $ 11! Something about the pie is slightly garlicky, which is great. Tons of cheese without even ordering extra cheese, and some excellent sauce compliment some outstanding crust. Good stuff.

I randomly searched italian food near Downtown/Boston Common area and this came up. I noticed it was a new establishment so my roommate and I went to go check it out. Its more of an Italian fast food place. You order your food at the registers and then wait for your number to be called so you can enjoy your food. The portion sizes are huge and you definitely get your moneys worth. It is conveniently located near boston common. The pasta was cooked well and the red sauce had a lot of flavor. I didn’t get to try their pizza slices, but they looked really good. The service was average and food came out fairly fast. There is a super small but clean restroom for customers only. Overall, I would come again if I was in the area and needed something quick and filling to eat. Transportation: right in front of green line(park st.)

you know that moment when you order food from a new place and when it comes to the pick up counter you know you struck gold? Well that is what I got when I ordered my eggplant parm sub from Zitis. It was very big and filling. I will be going back as for the cost/portion ratio is on point. It was also the first time i had eggplant that came close to my grandmothers. can’t wait to go back.

Found myself in Boston just before a concert and my friend and I were looking for some quick grub. Not in the mood for McDonalds or simple sandwiches, we came across Ziti’s. Penne with spicy marinara, grilled chicken and a beer. Simple. Came out quick and was actually really good. Affordable too. I read that they have a larger location(this was just an express) and I would absolutely return. My only complaint — I didn’t get any bread —(my friend did) and it looked fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit.

Came here on a whim to feed my husband and boys, quickly. They waited at the frog pond across the street while mom went to find lunch. I got a large cheese pizza for 10.95 after knowing that it would only be about 5 – 10 minutes. The pizza was perfection! Perfect crust; crispy bottom and chewy crust, not too thin, not too thick. Sauce was just how I like. Tastes like homemade, tangy tomatoes and just the right amount. And the cheese! I’m so glad I didn’t order extra! It was the good quality cheese, too! After 2pm their special was a large cheese for 8.95. I will be coming back because no matter how hard I try, I can’t get my pizza to these standards. Ps– This place is new– it’s a former burger joint. The staff was so friendly! I hope they are here to stay!

Got a burger and fries here Sunday. There are tons of options to choose from, but I will have to try those another time. There was hardly a wait(a minute?) before the lovely lady took my order, which was a burger with white cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and an order of fries. The burger(about $ 7) was pretty tasty. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, but for the price it was certainly worthwhile. The fries were awesome! They were seasoned well and just the right amount of crispy. They did start to lose that crisp pretty quickly though(think Raisin Bran after you add the milk and wait a minute), but hit the spot. The front counter service was good, however I was waiting a bit longer than I should have been because they forgot my fries at first. When they did come out, the lady handing off the food just carelessly shoved them sideways into the bag and they spilled EVERYWHERE inside. Due to the bag being paper, it was covered in grease and starting to rip apart. Hopefully next time they will take a bit more care with my order, and I’ll try something new on the menu. Recommended for a quick bite!

I’ve sworn up and down that I would never taste a tomato sauce that could rival my dad’s. I know people say that a lot, but I’m serious here. My dad’s a tough competitor. I didn’t even order the pasta — my friend did. I was sitting there unable to keep my eyes off his meal, salivating, and HAD to take a bite. When I did bite into it, I was hit with some serious déjà vu. I thought for a second I was at home in my parent’s kitchen eating the best sauce I thought there ever was. I’ve eaten at Ziti’s a few times now. I’ve tried the pizza, a wrap, and pasta. I got white pizza and it was fabulous. They let me custom order a wrap that wasn’t on the menu, and ended up being the best chicken Caesar wrap I’ve ever had. And I’m somewhat of a Caesar wrap connoisseur. The service is superb. The staff is consistent and very friendly, not to mention efficient. Need I say more about this place? Go here. Now.

Very nice pizza. Being from NY, I can be pretty picky about pizza. I’ve found a lot of pizza in Boston to consist of a big mushy lump of dough with cheese and very little sauce. This place has very nice crispy crust, fresh tasting sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. Good prices, fast service. Great spot for lunch.

Quick and delicious lunch options in the Boston Common/Park Street T stop area. Hot and cold subs come generously packed on fresh bread. Delicious salads, beer on tap and made to order pasta dishes. So far I’ve had a great steak and cheese sub, chicken piccata and their signature salad with grilled chicken on top — all delicious and worth returning for. This place is a welcome addition to this otherwise chain fast food neighborhood.

Stopped by while heading to a concert at the Orpheum and what a great find. Looking for something quick my friend and I both stopped by and got the penne with spicy red sauce, his with grilled chicken, mine with a meatball. We each also got a beer(only 5 or so, good selection) and it came to $ 15 and change. The price I thought was fair for downtown but I hoped that I didn’t just overpay for some subpar pasta dish. Our food came out promptly and looked amazing and had a good size portion. As someone who’s gotten a spicy red(aribiatta) sauce at plenty of fine Italian restaurants, this place may quite possibly have had the best. It was delicious! The meatballs and chicken were great as well. The only minor hiccups was that my friends meal did not come with bread as mine did. There was also one guy, who looked like a manager, on the phone the whole time, occasionally calling out orders but mostly sitting on a prep table(ew).

If you’re looking for great Italian outside of the North End, Zitis is your answer. I’ve been to Ziti’s locations in central Mass and am so happy to finally have one in the city. The service is quick. The employees are nice. The food is GREAT! I recommend the pasta(any kind) or a wrap. I usually go with the chicken Caesar. It’s not on the menu but they’ll make it if you ask. If you’re near the park, looking for real Italian cuisine, and not looking to drain your pockets stop at Zitis. You won’t be disappointed. Shout out to the manager Barry. He values customer service and making sure his patrons leave happy.

This place is terrific. Never mind the great view of the common, it’s close to the theatre district and the Orpheum. Loved it.
