Slurpees. There is no excuse not to love them, especially diet coke ones. Which I find rare here :/they have lots of flavors, always nice and icy. Also, I love the jalapeño & cream cheese taquitos… they are in my top 5 fav junk foods.

I know, I know, it’s only a 7-Eleven…don’t get your panties all knotted up. But, this is *my* 7-Eleven. No I don’t own it, I mean it’s the one closest to my house. This store recently went through a changeover in ownership, which was kinda sad at first. The group of oldies who worked there knew me, knew my family and did special orders for my mom… would the new guys do it to? Well, yes and no. At first, they bristled when they saw my mom’s 45 gallon coffee mug heading for their creamers, and really bristled when she informed them the previous owners never charged her more than the re-fill price for that monstrous cup. Then they realized she comes there every single morning, will help clean up and even show their new guy how to make coffee, and often buys other things there too. They began calling her«my little blue cup». I can only assume the little part refers to her height, because that cup ain’t little. Fast forward a few months and my poor son and the owner got into it a few times over some 7-Eleven coupons that I had given him. He was .well.inferring my son stole them. On my mom’s next visit she set them straight. As soon as they realized the connection between all of us, all was cool. They wont’ do anything to upset their ‘little blue cup’ and her business. The store went through some transition when the new owners took over, and it slid down in cleanliness and functioning of the equipment(cappuccino machine, slurpee machine) for awhile, but it’s really bounced back. Just needed some time to work out the kinks and get everything flowing. They still don’t order special creamers for my mom by the case like the old employees did… maybe they aren’t allowed to, maybe the guy who sold them the store is mean, I don’t know… but she isn’t upset about it anymore. But, I’m content to be «little blue cups daughter» and stop in here every so often, it’s my 7-Eleven after all. btw: I’m just a little weirded out that Unilocal names them«seven-eleven *food* stores»…and under grocery… If you are«grocery» shopping at a 7-Eleven…wow…I mean, .fake squirty cheese is yummy… but not necessarily food. Yes, they carry groceries and I’ve purchased grocery items there(milk at 2am when you forgot, etc)…but I’d never consider it a grocery store.
