Adam Carbary (Owner) was great to work with. In his initial visit, to give us an estimate, he clearly explained what he would need to do as far as running the necessary wires through my fireplace in order to hook up a flat screen TV. At the time, I had not purchased a TV, wall mount, or Blu-​ray player. As a former sales manager in the retail stereo industry, Adam was very informative in terms of the kinds of TVs, wall mounts and Blu-​ray players he would recommend. I had done some research prior to his visit and his recommendations were almost exactly aligned with the kind of equipment I wanted to purchase, so that was reassuring. He definitely knew his stuff.
After I ordered the equipment, I arranged for Adam to do the entire installation. He and his assistant did a great job and I am very happy with the results. Adam arrived on time, eagerly went to work, did a very neat installation, and thoroughly cleaned up after he was done. I had priced out similar services at some of the more well-​known retailers. Some were in the same ballpark, some were quite a bit higher, but none gave me the confidence that they would do the work properly and within budget. Adam’s final charge was actually lower than his initial quote because he finished sooner than he expected. I appreciated this gesture. Not sure that I would have received the same consideration from one of the big retailers, but it is one of the reasons why I like to support small businesses. In my experience, they try just a little bit harder to make sure that the customer is happy with the end result.

What really makes Encore stand out is that YOU CAN CALL THEM FOR HELP practically anytime if anything they installed gets confusing or doesn’t work. You can’t put a price on fixing frustration!!! I feel like they are on my team!!!
A couple of years ago I hired Encore to install a flat screen TV that other companies told me was too high for them. The customer service was so outstanding that it started a series of other installations including a surround sound entertainment theater with TV, DVD, radio, and Apple TV in my library and sound throughout the house. Then TV mounted on the wall in the mancave, and another TV in the meeting room that is connected wireless to the TV in the library. Adam and his folks are always on the leading edge of technology. No one has better knowledge of how things work including so-​call customer service from my satellite service.

I moved into an apartment where a previous tenant had run cables to a TV above a fireplace in a way that wasn’t up to fire code. Adam laid out a plan to safely run new cables and mount my new TV beautifully. His estimate was spot-​on despite not seeing the site in advance and he left me with the ability to modify the setup myself in the future.

Contracted Encore Custom Theater to do three flatpanel installs (one on a working brick fireplace, another above a bedroom fireplace), one 5.1 speaker install, and one 7.1 speaker install. Adam was very professional, thorough, honest and good-​natured. Although the install became more complicated than he initially thought, he honored his initial estimate.
My main concern was mounting the TVs above the fireplaces and more specifically… directly on the brick fireplace. I met with three other contractors and was not satisfied with their ability to do the fireplace mount… additionally, all the others that I vetted did not have brick fireplace mounting experience. Within meeting with Adam for five minutes, he clearly demonstrated his ability and experience with brick fireplace installs.
All of this work was completed in July 2012, so one year has passed and there hasn’t been one issue with the work that was done… and we’ve used both fireplaces.
I highly recommend Adam and his company.
