We ate in and the service was good. The reason for the 2 stars is for the food. We had combo meals. I started with hot and sour soup, the soup was sour, more sour than i enjoyed and lacked flavor. My girlfriend got the almond chicken and i got crispy chicken. Way over done, she ended up spitting hers out at one point. the portions were small as well. With all the options out there I will not be coming back. Great service and local charm, but I expect a little more from my food.

Went there due to the 5 star reviews. I was so disappointed. I’m sorry to say there was nothing ‘amazing’ about the food. I’ve got to believe those 5 star reviews are ‘FAKE’. This place is absolutely NOT a 5 star place and not even a 3 star at best. I believe it’s the very first time I’ve ever left food on the plate at a Chinese restaurant. We had chicken dishes where the chicken was SO dry, we could not eat it without a struggle. We had the individual combo plates #2 and #3. It was clean but modest and dated. Prices seemed industry average for dinner but we left feeling like something was ‘lacking’… $ 25 for two without drinks. In my opinion this is way overpriced for the quantity and quality of food. Certainly do not expect there will be enough to take home even if you wanted to. Place was empty but for the two of us. However, the woman did not want us to sit at a 6 person table!!! It appears they do a minimal take-out volume. While I wish them the ‘best’, we will not be going back.

Best Chinese food place in Bothell, hands down. Imperial Wok is located right off Bothell Everett Highway and is easy to get into and park. It appears to be family owned and has a «mom and pop» type atmosphere. The woman who works there is always rather quiet but always friendly. As for the important part of the review, the food is fantastic. One thing I hate about other Chinese places is when the breading on the meat is overwhelming. That is not the case here. If you order General Tso chicken, your’re getting a fresh, succulent, juicy chicken hunk, wrapped tastefully in a sweet Tso blanket. The pork fried rice is excellent and we typically order the Hot and Sour soup which tastes more sour than hot(in a good way) but is not«broth» heavy. I’d also recommend the almond chicken. Prices are very reasonable and quantities are large enough to provide an extra meal to bring to work the next day. If you eat inside in the winter there are heaters on the wall but I found my lower extremities to become slightly cold. That’s about the only negative I’ve got. I’d also like to note that food has always been prepared on time unlike other Bothell Chinese locations. Now get out, support a small local business, and enjoy some tasteful Chinese food.

My wife and I frequent Imperial Wok for lunch mostly. Hit or miss on the dinner time as far as wether they are open or not. Have always had good service for a MOM and POP restaurant. They remember us and what we usually eat.

My favorite Chinese food place. Crab rangoons and shrimp fried rice are my favorite go-to items, but everything is amazing!!! *Order to-go ahead of time if you don’t want to wait at your table *the portions are large *everything is made right when you order it and is very fresh *some of the best prices I’ve seen for Chinese food so far Highly recommend!

Absolutely the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. My wife and I just recently moved to Bothell and were absolutely craving some good Chinese food. We came across imperial wok and decided to give it a try. We ordered the lunch family special and there was nothing Chinese about it. The pork fried rice was simply rice from a rice cooker was bits of pork and some peas added to it. The chow mien was decent, but not worth coming back for on its own. The sweet and sour chicken was more like sweet and sour flour with a sliver of chicken. And the mandarin crispy chicken was plain breaded chicken that lacked complete flavor. Would not recommend this place to someone looking for good Chinese food.

Delicious. I ate here for the first time today and will come back again– the lunch special is perfect. I really liked my chicken chow main and thought the owners were sweet.

Got take out on a Tuesday night. No one in the restaurant at 6:20 pm. I can imagine the conundrum. How much of the variety of menu items can you make fresh and how do you reheat items and make them passable… they don’t have it figured out. Honestly not as good as panda express or Safeway chinese. Very old food at $ 60 for 4 meals.

There is one server and one cook at this restaurant, which is an indicator that your order wait time may be longer than usual — of course that is also dependent on the number of customers/orders they have. It’s a mom-and-pop restaurant run by a couple. It’s located in a small plaza next to Bartell drugs and you won’t have trouble finding parking here. Didn’t think this restaurant was as awesome as some Unilocalers have described. Some have referred to this place as «the best» chinese restaurant around. This place is standard to say the most. We got the spicy garlic prawns and crispy mandarin chicken combo with hot and sour soup. Quality of the soup was poor in my opinion and the egg soup is not the typical egg drop soup you’d get from Chinese restaurants. On the flip side, my garlic prawns tasted pretty good though. If I ever decide to dine here again, that’s what I’d probably get.

After seeing the good reviews decided to try this Chinese place. …the food was subpar to say the least I ordered almost $ 100 worth of food and can’t give a positive review of any of it… really disappointed

I’ll admit, their food is really good and is the best Chinese food around. That being said, I am giving two stars because the service is really bad. The first time I went, my boyfriend and I were the only customers there. It took 10 minutes for our order to even get taken, let alone the 30 minutes it took to get our food. The second time I went I had called to place an order for pickup. The lady who answered was incredibly rude and told me it would take an hour because they were busy. An hour for pickup? I haven’t heard of that before. I won’t be going back because of their service which makes me sad because they really do have some great food.

I would not go back again. We did family dinner D –there is really nothing good to write about. hot and sour soup was tasteless and so bad that went down the kitchen drain. All the food we had were pretty much tasteless and the portion size was half of what normal Chinese restaurant provide. on top of that the take out order is 30 mins wait on a Tue night 6:00 Pm and the owner is not even friendly. the best part of the dinner was fortune cookies and they didn’t even provide any utensils. I would rather driver further to mill creek for decent Chinese food.

The dumplings are out of this world. Get them! Everything else we got was also delicious, but I could have just had dumplings for dinner

This was hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! My husband and mother in law agree as well. We had the combo meal D as well as the kung pao chicken and egg foo yung. It was all AMAZING! The flavors were delicate yet assertive, subtle but strong. I have never eaten, and enjoyed, cold chow mein before but I did tonight! It was cold from our fridge, not from the restaurant. We will most assuredly be repeat customers!

So good!!! I felt like my grandmother was cooking for me. Got chow mein and General tsaos chicken. Delicious and non-greasy. Their egg rolls are super fresh, and the veggies inside were crispy. The prices were pretty good too!

Gave it a 3rd try and, lo and behold, they were actually open. Ordered takeout. In my opinion, the potstickers were really great, and everything else was just decent.

This place trys, I’ll give them that. The service was very slow, and kind of abrasive. That feel of Flo in a 1950s diner asking«whatta you want? «I waited awhile to be greeted and have waited even longer for my check, at this moment I’m still in the restaurant waiting for my check and there are 3 tables that haven’t been greeted… There are only 8 tables in this place and 2 of them are empty. The food looked good, the taste however… we ordered the crab rangoon(little to no crab, mostly cream cheese and onions) the crispy mandarin chicken(good flavor, but it said it was spicy I ordered 4 stars and it is actually quite sweet. So it’s good, just not what I expected) and the honey Walnut prawns(these were cold so the flavor of cold seafood covered in sweet mayonnaise doesn’t really sing praise) Also the phone rang off the hook, the ENTIRE time I’ve been here. There were only two people working(husband and wife combo, maybe the owners?) that’s why I didn’t give one star, they tried. I just feel like maybe they should hire help, or try a different approach, I actually saw the lady tell a man she wouldn’t take his walk in to go order because she was to busy.

Looking for a quick in expense lunch and got half of what I was looking for. There is no debating the cost of the lunch at $ 6.50 however the speed of service and delivery were too slow. There is only one guy cooking and making one dish at a time. The fried rice was no different than steamed rice except it had carrots and BBQ pork mixed in. The worst part is they are cooking in the eating area, so the smell of oil and cooking hang heavy in the air. What did I learn today? I think the fried wonton was cooked yesterday.

I’ve eaten here a couple times — and had their lunch special $ 6.50. You can choose from about 20 entrees. While the food is good, your portion is on the small side. Some people like this, but I would of preferred a little more food and rice. There are other Chinese restaurants that offer similar lunches in the area, you might as well try them all!
