Sweet Jesus! I have finally found great sushi in Bothell. The fish and rice are amazing, great service as well. Try the spicy tuna if you like hot, salmon is amazing as well. If you live in the Bothell/Mill Creek area and love sushi, you are aware the sushi around here is generally horrible and all the locals give it five stars… I’ve made it a habit to drive to Redmond/Kirkland/Seattle for sushi. I finally have a local sushi place to eat! So good.

I got the beef and tempura combo. They put everything in the same box! The salad is hot, teriyaki sauce got all over my car, and everything else is soggy.

I can’t believe this thing has ever reached over two stars. I mean come on guys this is not a real sushi joint. I have eaten at over 100 sushi restaurants around the world. They were completely disrespectful when we walked in and even though they’re closed between 2PM and 5PM they tried to rush us out of there right when we sat down at 1:45. They were rolling their eyes when we walked in and sighing like it’s a burden to serve us. About 10 bites into the meal they came over and said we needed to pay and hurry up. We ordered The«microwaved» edamame that was dried out and chalky, the sashimi plate which was subpar grade and extremely small, the bbq salmon roll that tasted good but it was rolled horribly and fell apart when you touched it and The spicy yellowtail that looked like chewed up fish fat and had no spice to it at all. These people clearly don’t care about customer service or would they go out of their way to make anybody happy. I was looking for a good relaxing lunch and found a terrible experience with 1 star food for $ 50.

I’ve been here a few times, most recently last weekend. I like the food here – I’ve had several appetizers and my favorite dish Oyako-don is served here as well. This time I just had appetizers like gyoza, fried chicken, tempura and beef tongue. All were good, the only problem is the prices are higher than I’m used to, and the amount of food you get isn’t equal to what you pay in my opinion. I do like the choice of items on the menu, plus on some days they serve okonomiyaki – a pancake like dish with meat and veggies served on it. Plus their sushi rolls have people names for some reason. They also have beer and sake and plum wine, plus Japanese style cocktails. This is a good place to splurge for special occasions, but if you’re on a budget – not as much.

I went on a Tuesday night at 8pm, so maybe it might’ve been an off night, but I didn’t receive the spectacular friendliness and amazing quality of food that previous reviewers are boasting about. It was dead, the music didn’t fit the environment(yes, I feel as if this greatly affects your mood if you’re the only one eating in there), slow, and food wasn’t that great. When I discovered they had takoyaki, I immediately placed an order for it since it appears most sushi places in the greater Seattle area do not serve this dish for some odd reason – when it came back to me, it was 80% bread and had barely any octopus, which is obviously not standard for takoyaki as it’s a good mixture of both. My main entrée was gyudon which was honestly overpriced(~$ 15) for what I received. The meat was dry, the rice wasn’t cooked properly, and there was no sauce – not even a specialty sauce that I know some establishments use for gyudon dishes. Not only that, but a friend joined me for the meal as well, and ordered a simple $ 6 roll. They enjoyed the roll(which again, stems from«they probably have good fish quality»), but when it came time to pay, the waitress told us that«they don’t accept card for food under $ 10.» What does that even mean?! How does this adequate restaurant spare from other sushi businesses when paying for just a roll or two? How does that work for Happy Hour when prices are significantly cheaper? Overall, not by any means a good, well-rounded Japanese restaurant. I’m sure they make good rolls and buy their fish from a good source, but I absolutely felt like I wasted my money here.

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food quality is mediocre. Salmon poke wasnt thawed completely. The salmon roll I ordered had more fat than usual(reminded me more of a low quality bacon i. e more fat than actual meat). There is always room for improvement, so I am hopeful that they can get better.

I had the Tonkatsu and a large bottle of Kirin. The pork was moist and the crust was crunchy. The meal came with Miso soup, shredded cabbage, white rice and salad. I was apprehensive initially because the restaurant was pretty empty. Now I’m surprised as good as the food was not sure why more people hadn’t been dining there.

I lived in Japan for three years and I love how this place transports me back to one of my favorite countries! Supremely nice staff, and excellent food! Try the Agedashi(fried) Tofu, sashimi samplers, any of their rolls, and a cold beer!

Lived in Japan for a couple of years. This is the most authentic Japanese restaurant I have come across(and I live in Vancouver) since I left Japan 15 years ago. Everything has an authentic flavour. The placement of the food on the dish looks like art. The staff really cares about the restaurant. The miso soup is heaven — it seems like such a simple dish, but a master at making it can bring many complex flavours into it. I had the teriyaki beef bento box. Can’t rave about this place enough.

This Japanese restaurant is fantastic! Their sushi is amongst the best, personally I have not had better. Their special roll is a favorite, it is a delicious creation by the head chef. Other favorites include hamachi(yellow tail), maguro(tuna) sake(salmon), tobiko(small fish eggs), and, when it’s available, toro(fatty tuna). For the adventurous, their uni with quail egg and natto are amazing. Additionally they have traditional dishes that are hard to find, e.g. oyaku donburi, and karaage.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the street and walked over to find this hidden gem. The food was fresh and tasty — ordered the Dragon Roll and Beef Teriyaki plate — both were delicious. Service was not the fastest, but the chefs and server were very friendly and the food was worth the wait. A true mom-and-pop place — friendly staff who all speak Japanese fluently, chef will sometimes even serve you, and, most importantly, great Japanese food.

The sushi here was AMAZING! Super fresh & melt in you mouth delicious. Had salmon & yellow tail nigiri as well as the Erin Roll. All of it was fantastic. We finished w/the tempura bananas. Very tasty & fun. Service was pretty good. Ambiance is fine — nothing great — small & quaint, but the owners/chefs are very gracious hosts. Highly recommend!!!

Came here for take out — we ordered a chirashi, 2 rolls, and a kama and the total ended up being over $ 80! Very expensive for what we got. On the bright side, the food was decent. The chirashi was better than some places(though not the best) and the rolls were ok. The kama was relatively small given the price. I’m not expecting cheap sushi and I’ll pay for quality, but I felt that $ 80 was way too much for what we purchased. There are better price to quality sushi joins around this area and I think they’re just way overpriced.

I went there twice and have bento box both time. I left hungry on each visit. The rice is less than four to five bites, portion is so small. i have to visit McDonald afterward to fill my stomach.

This place is close to home and work. We go there a lot. They earn our business with every visit. Sometimes it gets busy, with just Ka-San working the floor. She does better than I could, so I reserve judgement. The food. Go for the food. Good food costs a little more, but this place is not expensive. Man, is it good. Try it yourself, and I think you will agree.

Their sushi is legit. A friend of mine introduced me to this place, and I’ve loved it ever since. Their other food on the menu is great as well. Despite getting my fill from Japan recently, I would easily wolf down(daintily of course) Take’s sushi in a heartbeat. While I think Miyabi(in Southcenter) is hands down the best Japanese I’ve ever had in Washington(and by no means have I eaten at every Japanese place in Washington, so take this with a grain of salt), Take definitely comes in at second place, or when I’m way too lazy to make the drive down to Southcenter, Take more than makes up for it.

I strolled in after noting the nice reviews it had received… had the Jap Curry Katsu chicken… the sauce and taste was almost pitch perfect… it almost had that«that’s how my okasan use to make it feel» to it… Thanks!

I ate here yesterday and the service was pathetic. One poor woman had to wait on a full restaurant at lunch — and she was not coping well. We never received our salads, and only received our drinks after waiting too long and asking several times. Same thing with the tea, where we only received refills(once) after asking many times over the hour — and then she only filled a few of our cups and ran away. I thought she was going to run out the door and escape. I’m sure she considered it. The food was good, as usual. No complaints there. I like this place, but please get more help during the lunch hour. I would never want to experience that again, and it was pathetic to watch the poor server trying to keep her sanity. Nobody wants that experience.
