UCIC Learning Center

We have 3 of our 4 kids at UCIC, now. We had two of the three in another area Christian school. We made the decision to consolidate early in the school year to UCIC based on the academics standards, classroom interaction and frankly the Principal at UCIC. The staff and teachers at UCIC go out of their way to provide an individualized learning experience and it shows on tests and confidence of my kids. They also live the Christian principles they teach. The classes are ethnically diverse which provides a good experience for all.
The principal is AMAZING. By far the best administrator I have seen; full of energy, passion for the children, vision for the future and a good Christian.
The elementary teachers are top-​notch. They thrive on the smaller class sizes providing my kids with individualized learning and above-​and-​beyond dedication to the child, recognizing they are God’s children. It is a positive environment, teaching through example for charity, compassion, service and high academic standards-​while also recognizing the individual.
So why isn’t our oldest at UCIC? UCIC is a growing school and our oldest is not in elementary. UCIC is only offering elementary grade classes at this point.

Both of my kids (now 6^th grade and Kindergarten) have been going to UCIC since 3 years ago. The school is very good. The teachers are awesome!!. I like the small size classroom that they have more attention from the teacher. We always get update about our child which we didn’t get in public school (my daughter attended public school before going to UCIC).

UCIC is such an amazing Learning Center and elementary school. My daughter is in kindergarten and has been going to UCiC since she was a year old. My other daughter is 2 ½ and has been going to UCiC since she was 4 mo. The whole staff are like family to us! Many of the teachers that my older daughter had throughout the learning center classes are still the same as my younger daughter has now. Which tells me they take great care of their teachers and their teachers LOVE what they do!
There is great diversity of students in the school, which I love because my children get exposed to a lot of cultures they wouldn’t have otherwise. I have nothing but positive things to say about UCiC!
My kindergartener is already reading at a first grade level thanks to her amazing teacher and small class size. They really care about the students and invest in making sure they don’t just learn, but they have a TON of fun doing it. I get pictures almost everyday and frequent emails so I feel very involved in what they are learning about and can talk to my daughter about what they are learning. They have a great assortment of after school clubs for the school aged children so I can expose my daughter to a variety of different activities.
The toddler teachers are always sending me pictures of my daughter so I can see what she is up to throughout the day. Every day when I pick her up, they always have a funny story to tell me. She loves coming to school to see her friends and teachers and half the time, doesn’t want to leave her friends when I come to pick her up!
As a full-​time working mother, I am confident and absolutely comfortable putting the care of both my children with UCIC!!!

UCIC is a loving environment with staff members that are caring. It is a school that focuses on each students needs and helping students reach their personal learning goal at their own pace. It is a school that empowers students to take ownership of their learning and teach students to understand the importance of God and education.

UCiC is a wonderful, loving environment that provides a standout education that is individualized for each student. As a teacher, it is the best place to work. Principal Butler is a standout boss and principal. He is supportive, encouraging and full of dreams and ideas for the staff, students and school.

As a Christian school teacher, I know the importance of showing grace and love to students daily. UCiC offers that ! They also offer strong academics with well trained and certified teachers. The principal is one of the most engaging principals I have seen. From helping out teaching Spanish to kindergarteners, to playing football with the kids at recess, to monitors students so teachers can collaborate together, you can’t go wrong with a strong leader like that. UCiC isn’t a school; it is a home. It is a family. Come home. Everyone is welcome.

An amazing school! My son has attended UCIC since the age of two, and it’s become his second home. The teachers are well-​educated, caring/​loving, and the curriculum is challenging. It’s a highly dynamic environment, not all all stale like a few others places we visited.
You won’t be sorry if you enroll your child — it’s been a gift to our family.

UCIC Learning Center is located in Bothell near the business Park area. The school’s curriculum is a Christian based education with a diverse group of children.
Since the school is being operated out of a Korean American Church, there are a lot of Koreans children as well. At least ¹⁄₃ of the kids there seem to be Indian-​American and the remaining children are comprised of a mixture of different ethnicities. I found this very enriching for my son, who now has the opportunity to experience many of the different cultures from his friends.
The curriculum integrates many Christian beliefs into their education program. The teachers are also very diverse in their background and seems to complement the children’s diversity. All schools will always have their pros and cons, but what I found appealing about the school is they are constantly trying to improve their curriculum and quality of teachers. My son thoroughly enjoys his class and teachers and I often find him drawing pictures at home to take to his teachers.
