A nice store for travelers and very good quality items. I wish they focused more on the«one bag» movement to help us combat Airline fees and such, thank goodness for RedOxx and Tom Bihn for helping with that…

I regularly shop here before a trip. They have everything you need, no matter what type of trip you take. I find the owners and all that work here knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I especially love that on Tuesday nights they do a travel program. So you get first hand advice on a place you may want to visit with a slide show. I actually went to one of these last year and because of the girl that did the talk, I decided to do the Annapurna Trek in Nepal.

Great store. The selection is wonderful and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. One of the few places in Colorado where you can buy Liverpool Jeans — which are AMAZING for fit, style, and comfort. It is truly a Boulder-owned«Mom and Pop» store. To shop here is to support the local economy and local workers. They have free travel seminars on Tuesday nights, which I haven’t attended yet, but will as soon as my schedule allows. Shop at Changes in Latitude!

I’ve shopped here before but sadly today they lost a customer. I bought an eye mask there only four days ago. A woman that day had helped me and showed me the couple different ones they carried and even pulled them out of the packages for me to see and try on in the store. I bought one but then found another one elsewhere that I like more. Today — just 4 days after I bought the mask — I went to return it and was told I am not allowed to return an eye mask. A woman(not the one who sold me the mask) showed me the section on the pink Return Policy slip they had stapled to my receipt saying eye mask are a non-returnable item. OK, I get it — they don’t want people spreading pink eye, etc. That is not unreasonable. But I still spent $ 11 on an eye mask that I never wore, don’t want and now can’t return. The sales lady spent at least 10 minutes with me the day I bought but she never mentioned their return policy to me. There was a man in the store today who got very defensive when I said I had never even worn the mask. He said, basically that their policy was not to accept returns and too bad — not what I’d call good customer service. After driving home I decided to call them up and let them know that while thier policy is reasonable it would still be considerate to their customers to let them know about non-returnable items PRIOR to completing transactions. They do staple the return policy to the receipt but by then you’ve already purchased something and it’s technically too late to return it once they give you the policy. The man interrupted me and talked very loudly over me, again telling me they staple the return policy to every receipt. Again, I tried to explain to him that 1) by then it’s already too late and 2) even if it’s their policy it’s still good customer service to communicate clearly so they have happy customers, which I am, now, not. He said they would do that but his tone of voice said something entirely different to me. I found him to be very rude and unconcerned with whether or not I ever came back.

This is a nice locally owned source for travel clothing, gear, books, and advice. I just bought an amazing foldable black knee length raincoat that looks stunning! Really! I don’t even go for stunning in my usual way of dressing :-) I like Changes in Latitudes because it is locally owned and I don’t look like I just stepped out of an REI catalogue. So, I can get business clothing as well as recreational stuff, all very packable and durable. I’d like to see them carry more books and maps. Still it’s a great great stop for the traveling hoardes :-)

The man I recently spoke with on the phone about a simple inquiry was incredibly rude! After explaining who I was and why I was calling he said, «Congratulations!» Rude? I think so. Just be forewarned that if you have a question or comment, you may get Oscar the Grouch on the phone. I will never be calling(or patronizing) this store again.
