Had a great experience with Ari. I found a slight crack in my frame, boxed it up and sent out for him to fix. Few weeks later i got it back fully polished, fresh new top tub and seat tube repair with additional gusset. After assembly and a week of looking at it i realized he also added a new gusset at the rear disk brake. Guess i will be on a 26″ for a little longer.

I had a very good experience working with John and Ari at Dean, and am extremely pleased with the results. The craftsmanship is impeccable, and the service was excellent. My frame is a refurbished El Diente, so I didn’t go through the entire custom build process, but the frame looks brand new and rides wonderfully. Everything happened on schedule, and Ari provided frequent updates.

Dean took care of me when I sent them a 1991 vintage Dean Ti MTB and seatpost for re-​furbishing and new decals. Ari spotted a hairline crack in the downtube and had it replaced for an additional $ 150 within a few weeks. I got the frame/​seatpost back and have it built up and rolling again. See the result at:

Worked with Ari at Dean on a single speed build and was super impressed with my bike when it got delivered. Ari was very communicative throughout the process, sending photos of the bike during the build, and keeping me updated on timing.
The quality of the bike is superb and will definitely be a bike I will ride for years.

I ordered an Ionic S3 Nemis. (Dean’s Steel Frames). Overall quality is very good, I love the bike. The only downer is the wait time about 5 months and lack of communication at times. If they can solve that then 5 stars because the owner is a nice guy. If want a sub 3 pound steel frame bike at a great price check out Dean/​Ionic bikes, Just plan to wait a bit. I would order in the fall.
