I’ve been doing crossfit for about two years and I have yet to find as welcoming and encouraging an environment as there is here. The programming and coaching is amazing too, no matter what your sport or goals are.

I have been a member at FCSC for 4 years. I started to get my core fit for a skiing trip on my 40th birthday and I have not been able to stop(I am hooked) This BOX has a winning combination of CrossFit and Olympic Lifting. You can avoid the Olympic lifting of it isn’t your thing. I dabble in the Olympic lifting bit and love the CrossFit conditioning classes FCSC has a fantastic team of coaches who push you(I like getting pushed hard) if you want it. There is lots of instruction on technique and proper form I visit many many many CrossFit boxes with my work travels and I have to say the BOX is at the top of the 12 – 18 others I have visited Highly recommended for all levels

Review for weightlifting club only. I have been going to this gym regularly for a few months and have gained in all of my lifts. Coach Randy is an attentive coach that will give you tips to get your movements correct and efficient. Though the snatch and clean and jerk are difficult lifts, the drills and programs provided will give you confidence with time. This guy doesn’t take a day off, open 7 days a week, and only seems to closed a few days a year to head to competitions. No other gym will give you the attention that you get here for the price you pay,(as fellow CO Unilocalers know I go to a lot gyms). Mostly men lift here, so be prepared for some«man talk» and burping. But they all have butts better than crossfitters and there’s a lot of squatting going on so that’s a plus. The only downside is that it is in Boulder, so us city folk have to drive.

As a ultra-marathoner, I spend a lot of time doing endless slow runs in the mountains. I was first only looking for a way to cross train and do something other than running and get a little stronger overall, but I’ve found Crossfit to be a lot more than just a way to crosstrain; Crossfit is different, very intense, hard and heavy, great complement for endurance athletes — and a lot of fun! After a couple false starts with other gyms where I did not feel much sense of a community, I landed at Flatirons Crossfit and so far love every aspect of it. The trainers/coaches as well as the owner Tim at Flatirons are all nice, down to earth, and know what they are doing, and other trainees are super friendly. I can’t wait to be able to do a pull-up, finally!
